  1. I hate high schoolers and older telling kids in like 2nd grade that people have died on this ride or, my favorite, "The Beast eats little kids like you." and scaring the crap out of them and then having to listen to them cry and wail the entire ride. Last year my friend Logan had never ridden Vortex because when he was little his grandma said that over 40 people have died on it. Me and him were both starting 7th grade and he was still terrified. I got him on it and he just wanted to keep riding and it's now his favorite. But here's another fun little story. I was just old enough to go to KI by myself and all 3 people I've taken (I've gone about 15 times total with these 3 people) are terrified of Drop Tower because someone told them it was deadly. Oh well, still one of my favorites.

  2. Pre-teens and teens, usually but not always girls, who squeal shrilly in mock fear on coasters, frequently right in my ear--Please shut up.

People yelling while you are going up the lift hill " We're all going to die."

I'm kind of guilty doing this. I convinced my friend that on The Bat, the ride sometimes gets stuck on the lift hill. When it slowed down on the hill he almost started crying and I felt bad but at the time I was laughing. I did apologize to him so don't think I'm a horrible person. Another thing I hate is when girls that are like 10 or 11 feel the need to wear short shorts that are just WAY too short.

  3. People who argue with ride ops about their kid, "BUT, she just rode it this morning....pleeeease."

That also happens at my local pool. The kid gets to the top of the slide with their parent and the employee has to measure them and send them down if their too short or get a wrist band at the front entrance to show that their tall enough and the parents just complain and all of us waiting to go down the slides have to wait a long time. A similar thing also happened to me on The Racer when I was sitting second to the front and this little girl was well below 48" and the dad started swearing at the ride op and then gave him the finger when they asked him to leave. It delayed the ride leaving the station for about 10 minutes.

  4. I hate people who are mean to you in line for no reason. My friend doesn't know a lot about roller coasters and hadn't been to the park since he was 5 (now 13) and I was explaining all the changes the park has done since then. Then these two girls about our age call me and my friend annoying. My friend then called her a name I don't wish to repeat for fear of getting banned and then the girls are like, "You can't call us that we're girls! You can't be mean to us." So I told her, "So you're allowed to insult me and my friend and it's okay but when we try to offend ourselves we're the bad guys?" Then about 3 people back some guy just yells, "DAYUM STRAIGHT!" Of course the girls then told the ride op giving people seat numbers that we were being bullies. She asked us to get out of line and go to the back until about 5 people around me and my friend supported us and the tables were turned! They were not asked to go to the back of the line however, They were just politely asked to stop. I was kind of disappointed that more justice wasn't done but I'm just grateful we didn't have to go back to the beginning of the 30 minute wait.

  5. Oh, to be less than 18 and get to ride Arrow multi-loopers. I can only imagine. I was older than that when I first inverted on a rolley coaster!

Trust me us below 18 year olds get the same sick, painful feeling getting off Arrow-Loopers. If anything the headbanging is even worse on us! I've ridden Anaconda, Corkscrew, Loch Ness Monster, and Vortex and I got sick after riding all of them. Corkscrew is probably the least painful IMO.

  6. Do employees really get to ride Banshee before the park opens? I've always wanted to work there and that would seal the deal. I'm still too young to work at the park but when I reach the age I will.

  7. I actually didn't ride it for the first time until I was 11, it was fun for thr first few times and now I just get sick. I sometimes end up sweating and about to throw up when I get off. I rode it opening Sunday once and haven't ridden it since.

  8. Kings Island needs a B&M Flying, Dive, Floorless, Standup, and Wing to all be the tallest, fastest, longest in the world, most inversions, all would have a loop interact with the lift, zero g roll, cobra roll, tallest pretzel loop, steepest first drop and all would have themeing.

  9. I typed that this morning before my church's VBS and I hadn't had breakfast yet. My brain doesn't start functioning until about 9:30. Forget about the whole station nonsense but keep the part about tearing down Action Theatre and adding an Intamin Blitz.

  10. I got stopped by an officer last year for almost the same reason. Some teen in Planet Snoopy was telling the little kids before getting on The Great Pumpkin Coaster that it was going to break while they were on it. I guess he forgot that kids often times tell their parents about those things and the guard told me to wait with him until they caught him. I kept telling him I needed to talk to my dad but he wouldn't let me take my phone out to call him (He was on International Street with some friends getting us lunch). When he finally budged and let me call him my dad started yelling at him and we were asked to leave. They called and said they caught the kid and apologized. My dad asked them if I could have some kind of front of the line pass on one ride and they hung up! I was so ticked off I didn't visit again until August.

  11. Went to the park today, I got there at 10:00 because the power went out at our vacation bible school because of a car crash nearby. The park wasn't too crowded, it was pretty empty until about 12:30 and it got pretty crowded. We rode Diamondback 10 times in a row and then headed to Banshee. We only waited about 20-30 minutes every time. Banshee was almost completely empty all day. We rode Banshee 8 times. WindSeeker was down all day and so was FoF and Shake Rattle and Roll. We decided to end the day on Congo Falls and we got stuck at the top of the hill for about 5 minutes until they sent us out again. Today was a pretty solid visit.
