  1. Oh boy my first ever CP trip will be in May with my 8th grade class! The biggest thing that I'm hoping to be open for 2015 will be that RMC (If it's not just a teaser). I imagine that list of things to do will take at least 2 and a half years to complete, especially against Lake Erie weather. After our trip this year I don't have any clue if or when I'll ever be back to CP again and I am a huge RMC fan (though I have never ridden one) and would love to ride one. And having one only 3 hours away would be awesome! That's definitely the one I'm rooting for the highest.

  2. Yesterday was my 14th birthday and my dad surprised me by buying me and himself Fast Lane for my birthday! We got to the park at 11:25 and went to Diamondback first and the normal line was about 20-25 minutes. Next we went to the roughest ride I've ever had on The Beast. Next we did WindSeeker and Vortex and I actually rode in 4-1 for the first time (didn't make any difference to me). We did some bumper cars and Adventure Express.

We were going to do The Bat but it wasn't on Fast Lane even though it had a 20 minute wait. I will never understand why Congo Falls has FL but not The Bat. We rode Drop Tower 3 times and went to the Chicken Shack. This was the first time I had eaten there and it was pretty good. It was about 1:20 so we went to see Cirque Imagine for the first time. It. Was. Amazing. I was stunned by how awesome it was and I hope it makes a return for the 2015 season (as well as SR&R).

We rode Invertigo next and I don't know why people hate it so much, I loved it. We did Adventure Express again before having to wait 40 minutes for Banshee. My dad is a diabetic so we went out to the car so he could take his medicine. We went to Diamondback again. Every queue lane was filled and a 90 minute wait but FL was about a 10 minute wait. We sat down and ate some Auntie Anne's pretzels then did The Beast 3 times with a 10 minute FL wait each time. The last time we waited 25 minutes for the front and rode at about 9:20.

My dad had never seen the fireworks from the Eiffel Tower and couldn't wait to see. Have they always had two decks open? We got in the elevator that I feel like I hadn't ridden in years and we went up to the top deck. We watched the fireworks and went down to go home. 10/10 birthday and I couldn't have spent it any better.

  3. Here is the music that plays on Banshee's lift hill: go to 5:01 in the video.

    Plus, here's the Banshee scream:

That's actually not the song that plays. It's close but not it. Banshee's scream is from Mass Effect 3 but I still don't know the correct lift hill music

  4. I've always been the kind of person that believes in restoring and refurbishing standing-but-not-operating wooden coasters.

To this day, I still respect Knoebels and their decision to bring Phoenix to the park.

I'm not sure what kind of condition the Big Dipper is in, but last I heard, a whole section of track was missing.

...I can say one thing though.....and that is that If any of the 3 parks that you mentioned got Big Dipper, I would recommend that the park be Kings Island, for multiple reasons.

Overall it would be GREAT to have to the Big Dipper at Kings Island, but quite frankly, I just don't see it happening, especially with the shape that the ride is in.

    RMC treatment?

  5. I never go to Haunt so I hate to see buildings SBNO as anything for most of the year. I noticed a picture on twitter of a Haunt map in The Crypt's old queue. I'll have to ask my friend who is at the park today more details but I keep seeing more and more Haunt stuff go up.

  6. I was at Soak City with my friends yesterday and we went out at about 3:00 to eat lunch. We got to my dads pickup and started eating lunch when a guard approached us and told us that we couldn't have food outside of the park on park grounds. WHAT? I've never had this happen to me before and we went back in the waterpark for about 2 hours and we went out again and ate but this time we weren't approached. Does anyone know why this happened?

  7. That is a misconception that hitting your kids instantly puts them in line and makes them so great and respectful of others. I was never spanked and I am a normal functioning member of society with a full time job and no criminal history. My child has never been spanked and she is very well behaved, especially opposed to the kids I see with parents running after them smacking them on the rear end all through Kings Island. If that is how you choose to keep your child in line, so be it, it is not my place to decide how someone parent's their children and I don't expect someone to tell me I am raising my child incorrectly because they do it differently.

But to bring this conversation back on topic, I enjoy listening to some kids discuss their favorite rides, like saying that Surf Dog, Woodstock Express, etc is the best ride in the park. I just always think, "If y'all think that's the best ride in the park, just wait til a couple years". And no, not putting down those rides, Woodstock Express is still close to my top 10 of rides at any park I've visited just because of my own personal history with it.

sorry to double post but spanking is not necessarily needed if you raise your kids not to be brats that constantly need to be spanked. I was spanked a couple times as a kid for some silly stuff I'd never do now, almost all of the times I was spanked I was hit in the head in public. I think the embarrasment helped me be a better person
