I have been to the Atlantis. The slide is ok. The hotel is what is fascinating. Kings Island slides are much better than the Atlantis.

The College Football HoF was moved to another city. I can not remember where but it is now in South Bend, IN. I think it might have moved there from KI but I am not going to swear on this one. Hard to believe that it moved to South Bend right?!?!?

CP Was affected from what I was told. I am not sure of the exact details though but someone told me they lost power.

Does anyone have any idea what happened to Delirium last night (June 6th) It was right at closing time and we were stuck on there for 30 minutes. We had to keep our heads back and they slowly rotated Delirium. When it started out instead of accelerating to start it just barely moved. Anyone have any details as to what happened last night? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can shed on the details.

According to the Kings Island web site this deal expires at the end of May. http://www.pki.com/perks3.jsp Can anyone find out if the deal will be extended. I am taking a large family and they are bringing their friends this Friday. I know, I know, it will be very crowded but the kids love the thought of being able to get a friend in for free. For those that don't get there very often this is a major deal. I know that Mandarin also has a 4 person meal deal but it is quite a bit more expensive and most of the kids will not eat that type of food. The LaRosa's deal was wonderul. I do wish Kings Island would extend that deal. Anyone have any idea how to find out what is going to be available for this Friday as far as Gold Meal Deals go? Thanks in advance for any information anyone can give on this topic.

It was open today when I rode. This was around 6:00pm. However Tomb Raider and Flight of Fear were closed today. Anyone know why?

Saturday morning the park opens at 9:00 for breakfast with the characters. I am planning on taking my kids that morning. Whoever asked in an earlier post for confirmation they were correct. I think it might have been DragonLord.

20 minutes for Beast and 45 minutes for SOB but 2 hours for FOF? Is that odd to me only? I would have thought SOB and Beast would have been as long of waits as FOF. That has been my observation in the past. As for not wanting to wait in long lines don't go any nice weekend day that is the only time a person can go now. Granted I can not control the weather but the opportunity to attend KI on a Wednesday now is not an option. I was just curious how the music festivals would affect the crowd.

I just found the spot on Kings Island's web site that gives info on the events: http://www.pki.com/events.jsp That explains the where (Cin. Loveland HS for the music festival) and a few of the details on the events. Has anyone been there on these days in past years. I am hesitant about this Saturday now. Those two events alone will bring in well over 10,000 not counting chaperoes, parents, friends, etc.

When I look at Kings Islands home page they make mention of Music in the Parks and Music Showcase happening on May 17th. Does anyone have any details on what these might be? Where they are located? Are they free to attend? And how will these events affect attendance. I was planning on attending Kings Island this Saturday so I was just curious if Saturday would be an extremely busy day due to these events and this being the last weekend to purchase a Gold Season Pass. Thanks in advance for anyone who can shed any light on these events.

Just curious as to anyone who was at KI today as to how busy today was. With it being Bring-A-Friend-Free day I was just curious. I wasn't sure with it being mother's day if that would keep the crowd down.

I want to take the other side of the coin a little bit. I will agree that the park is EXTREMELY crowded on these days. However it does provide on nice benefit. It allows my kids to bring friends for free those days. Friends that would not otherwise be able to attend KI. My kids look forward to the days. The only thing I did not care for, besides the crowds that is, is the fact that KI scheduled three Brind A Friend Free days this year. Two of those three days came on holidays that I am not about to go to KI (Good Friday, and Mother's Day). I don't think it will be as crowded as people fear this Sunday. How many people will not be there because they are spending the day with mom? I thanks KI for having this benefit. My kids look enjoy being able to pick one person they can bring for that day. OK, now go ahead and tell me I am wrong for these feelings. I have my flame resistant suit on to prevent burns.

My wife was at the park the day they filmed the Brady Bunch Episode. Now I am really dating myself. She said it was amazing seeing it all. She saw Greg throw the footballs in Coney Mall.

Mandy Moore was there last year with Andy Roddick??? Wow! When was this. I wasn't sure when Aaron Carter was there last year.

We had a disagreement in our family. Some say that Kings Island used ride coupons in the past, like when it first opened. Similar to the way Disney World used to be. Can anyone verify if they had different coupons that were for different rides or has it always been a pay one price, ride all day for free. I thought you had to buy coupons and then use those for rides. Am I getting KI mixed up with the way Disney was a good while ago? Thanks in advanvce.

While at the park last Saturday I stopped at the front gate and asked at Guest Relations about the gold pass meal deal. They told me it would be announced today. If anyone goes to the park today could they get the details on that benefit and post the details? I did see in the e-newsletter the deal at LaRosa's but that was all I saw. I was just curious if there are any other details on the Meal Deal. I do applaud PKI for this benefit. Bringing a family to the park and trying to feed them is very expensive. And as a thought on the price for pop in the park I do feel it is very high. I would be more likely to buy drinks inside if they were more fairly priced. I do not buy the argument that they are priced the same as other tourist attraction like another poster mentioned. I feel the same way about drinks at The Reds games, movies, etc. Why should I have to pay $2.75 for a drink that probably cost PKI maybe 25cents or something of the sort. I also now realize I will hear that is how they build the new coaster, rides, etc. But isn't that also what the admission if for? I do love the park very much and this is my only gripe about the park. Please make it affordable for a family to be able to eat and drink inside the park. The LaRosa's deal is a huge step in the right direction.

I was just curious how crowded today was if anyone went if they would like to post their thoughts on how crowded it was today I would appreciate it. Me, I am staying away. I disagree with PKI's decision to have Bring a Friend free day on Good Friday but that is my personal decision. I do regret the thought of not being able to use the day that the kids could take friends to the park and have fun but again, my personal decisoin. The kids were disappointed to miss this day also. I do realize it is always packed on those days but when else can they take their friends for free and have fun. I was just very curious how crowded it did get today. Ummmm... Good Friday. I think all schools are out. I would be shocked if any are in.

Scooby was down for about 10 minutes Saturday around 4:00 but it wasn't long at all. Maybe 15 minutes tops. If you call that a break-down. Hey, stuff like that happens. It is bound to happen.

What is the highest score anyone has had on Scooby Doo? I realize mine will pale in comparision but I had a 1200 yesterday. I would like to see what anyone has done on it. Also, are all target the same value, 30 pts.? I will also echo another posters sentiments. I wish they would make the laser beams visible. It would make it much nicer, IMO.

Hey Matt, I talked with you while Scooby was broke down for 10 minutes yesterday. You were very pleasant. Seemed like a very nice person. This was around 4:00. I was about the three cars from getting on when it broke. I thought all employees were espescially nice and friendly. This is what made the day and was impressed me the most. I realize you probably hear all the bad but here is a good compliment. Maybe it was the first day of the year and everyone was still fresh it but it sure felt nice. Thanks park employees for making the day very good.

i'll be there Saturday

I was just curious if anyone had any idea from past experience how busy the first day normally is. I am still deciding on whether it would be better to try to go Friday night and get there at 6:00 due to work, school schedules, etc. or would I be better serrved to go Saturday instead. I am coming from about 90 minutes away so this plays in the equation also. I was thinking Friday but then I was concerned that not everything would be open. Thoughts, past opening weekend experiences, opinions, etc. It does sound the like the weather will be better on Saturday. Thanks in advance.
