  1. Banshee cam 2 has been re-positioned to view the new Kill Mart Haunt. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/online-fun/webcams
  2. Please no. Mantis was uncomfortable (for me at least) and the popularity seemed to be waning for it while Magnum, on the other hand, (again in my opinion) is very enjoyable and still very much a fan favorite. So I don't think it would be a sound investment to swap out Magnum's trains since it still is very much loved by many. Also, how many guests would notice a new train on Magnum versus a completely different riding experience with the change of Mantis.
  3. Headspin was relocated to Carowinds and named Carolina Cobra. Steel Venom went to Dorney Park and was renamed Voodoo then Possessed. I believe Villain was scrapped.
  4. I don't believe that ride ops determine disability. I am pretty sure that a guest with disabilities goes to Guest Services or speaks with a supervisor who then provides said guest with the sheet documenting which rides are safe for that guest to enjoy. The ride ops just look to see if the ride the guest is waiting for is approved on the ride sheet.
  5. Seems like they enjoy doing the opposite of what one would call smart business decisions...
  6. Minus the ferris wheel and flying scooters and voila, Kennywood!
  7. I guess the amount of human feces in the waterpark wasn't enough so...
  8. This year... Dorsal Fin Drop and Surfers Swell were both added to Boomerang Bay this year at a cost of 2.5 million. They mentioned "a bigger splash" several times during the announcement which makes me think that several more attractions will be added to BB for 2016 in addition to being re-branded as Soak City. Carowinds is getting waterpark expansions 2 years apart, awesome... KI not so much
  9. Just remember, the queue rails aren't to be used in a workout routine...
  10. The only attractions that you can wear your water shoes on are: both wave pools, Splash River, Coconut Cove, all children's areas, Zoom Flume and Mondo Monsoon.
  11. I would think that they would use a day with low attendance to allow their lifeguards to gain some experience in a less overwhelming environment rather than just closing the waterpark. That would be Pipeline Paradise.
  12. Could just be a reference to the Mayflower added this year... but ya never know...
  13. I was in Firehawk's line on 5/9 and saw several teens climbing on the queue rails. One of the ride operators got on the microphone and told those sitting on the rails to get off. They ignored the ride op even though the ride op make it very clear as to who she was addressing...
  14. Fast Lane is a fantastic idea for both the park and guests in theory... Allows the park to generate more revenue and allows guests that aren't frequent visitors to get the most out of their visit. That being said, the ratio at which the separators have been allowing FL to regular is atrocious! On opening day the separator at Banshee allowed close to 30 people from FL+ on one train... needless to say that I was pretty peeved considering the 4+ hrs spent waiting in line. I would have no problems with FL if the employees over-watching the merger provided a more fair ratio.
  15. I've never seen Kings Island close attractions during the season save for when they are broken. Since they are a seasonal park, they do most of their significant maintenance during the off season to avoid closing attractions during the season.
  16. I noticed that too but it seemed to be little kids trying to remain with their school group after being told they had to store their bags in a locker. Technically this line jumping but I don't think most people, including employees, see it as such since we are talking about little kids who don't know better. They should wait to the side of the entrance while some of their group uses the lockers then walk in together but again they are kids and the lines weren't terribly long so I was like ehh whatever and didn't bother to mention it to the employees. Teenagers on the other hand... get to the back of the line you should know better...
  17. There is no where near enough room on Mondo's tower to host a new body slide tub let alone a raft tub. As for Run's tower, it is possible but highly unlikely. Run is already in the middle of the path so there is limited space for slide run-outs let alone a splash pool. Also significant work would have to be done on Run's pump house to allow for additional pumps and other machinery. Additionally, the steps on Run aren't very wide when everyone is carrying mats so body slides above would cause significant line problems.
  18. Interesting how they felt the need to state that a body slide is "a type of body slide where you are not in a raft." The words "body slide" indicate that is indeed not a raft slide...
  19. I wonder how the park would feel if the people invited to media day wore Son of Beast clothing...
  20. Well if you consider that we are one off-season closer to dying then eeeek might be the right choice of words...
  21. ^ Delirium or Drop Tower would be nice. I guess the The Bat would be fine too... However, I think Invertigo won't join Banshee on ERT because they are both inverts, albeit completely different, but inverts none-the-less.
  22. https://www.kingsdominion.com/ticket-category/Fast-Lane-Fright-Lane And I believe that at WOF the lines were held on the ground and merged at the stairs. Held at the ground? So lots of turnstiles along the path and no waiting on the stairs? Seems like that would work but seems to be a waste of space...
  23. All traces of FL have disappeared from KD's website... On another note... CF seems to be adding attractions in their waterparks to FL lineups. Carowinds will have their 2 new slides on + and Dorney Park will have their new Snake Pit, along with other attractions, on +. If only KI added Mondo and Zoom to their + lineup... Anyway, this leads me to question how FL works for the water slides. If it follows the same idea as the main park where there is a separate line then it seems as though there would be a second staircase all the way up the slide tower... which seems impractical for a multitude of reasons. Thus, my question is, do FL users just push past those waiting in the line or do they get an employee to escort them up the tower?
  24. I wonder if there will be some sort of crowd control for opening day to prevent a "running of the bulls" toward the Banshee queue line...
