  1. I am going to PKI this Saturday and was wondering if any of you folks will be there. I am going with my sister, dad, niece and one of her friends. I might have to ride alone at times. Just thought I could get a couple of laps with some PKIC member whom might be there. I don't mind riding alone, but I wouldn't mind putting a face to some members from this site. If no one is going or wants to meet with me, no big deal. Peace...
  2. I can see where you would miss the campground. If the rumors prove to be true, then maybe they will relocate the campground, thus satisfying the "unhappy campers" and the ones whom want to stay in the lodge.
  3. Duh! I should have known that since his name is on the banner. I feel silly. Ryan, is this something that you will attend?
  4. As a matter of fact, I rarely see anyone paying any kind of attention to Queue TV.
  5. Tanner, what I meant was kind of the same thing that Italian Chef said. It's time for the public to notice and recognize everyday heroes. Athletes, actors, and musicians are no heroes. I have found new respect for Boddah.
  6. I agree. Bring back Der Spinnin' Keggers. A ferris wheel would be nice too. It just seems odd that there is no ferris wheel of any kind in the park. I would like to see one installed like the one at Astroland in New York.
  7. Classy move. Great idea to let them in free. About time someone recognizes the efforts and courage put forth by these brave men and women.
  8. That is a really cool shot of The Beast. Very cool finds indeed!
  9. Wow! I mention something about progress and was ripped a new one for it. Go fig.
  10. I like the music better. Much more entertaining than most anything they have ever had on tv in line with the exception of the new Beast video. And, for the most part, you can hear what other people are saying when the music is going at CP. So, I can't imagine it being different with PKI. Also, generally, you see a lot of people getting into the music...I don't see anyone riveted by QTV.
  11. The only thing I don't do there is play games. So yes, I eat there twice and buy souvenirs. Plus, I might snack in between.
  12. But, the on-ride photo on the flume has not always been there. Trust me, I have been riding that thing since it was built. I would have noticed.
  13. Obviously, there has been public interest in building some kind of accomodations on site or it wouldn't even be considered.
  14. I think the name Italian Job: Stunt Track works really well based on the premise of the ride which is you are starring as the stunt driver.
  15. What they really need instead of an expensive lodge is a Hotel. I would like to see something like the Hotel Breakers at Cedar Point. The prices are reasonable, especially if you go for a package deal. And, about PKIU, I am a member there as well. Yeah, there are some rude people over there, but you just have to give it back to them.
  16. Oh! And some families do come multiple times! Even if they don't like in the Cincy/ Mason area. Yeah, this is why I said probably most families do not, insead of all families do not. Anyway, I mostly see teenagers by themselves more than any other group of people including enthusiasts and families. Families spend sooo much more than enthuastists per a trip usually, even if the enthuastist comes multiple times. I do not doubt this, but you still have to satisfy the thrillseeking, coaster enthusiasts.
  17. I pretty much agree with you, PKI_Diana, but, you can't ignore the enthusiast market either. I would venture a guess and say that it is the enthusiasts that make multiple trips to PKI, whereas many families can only go once a season. And, I'm not talking about the families that live in that area either.
  18. jmcowen, were you watching the same show? Extreme Rides 2003? It had a big feature on Delirium. I'm not trying to sound like a smart @ss.
  19. Good TR. Can I get the abbreviated version?
  20. Good TR. My favorite spot on The Vortex is the back seat. You really get whipped around the inversions. So, are you saying you liked Tomb Raider?
  21. Yeah, me too. I would like to see an explanation of how Delirium works. Kind of like a technical look at it.
  22. I would say that this is the man responsible for my love of coasters. Although The Racers were not my first coaster, it was what I would call my first major coaster. God rest his soul.
  23. Yeah, they are both woodies, but The Beast is a terrain coaster and Thunderhead is not. Beasts' track is a lot more spread out and utilizes the surrounding areas. I don't get that feeling from Thunderhead.
  24. Yeah, I agree. I don't see another coaster for next year unless it's a kiddie coaster or a coaster similar to the Flying Super Saturator. That would be cool.
  25. I taped Extreme Rides 2003 last night. I thought that this was an excellent show. Superb coverage of Delirium. I liked some of the other flats they showed like the swatter. I also thought that the one coaster, Colossus, with the ten inversions, looked really boring. Then I realized, it has to be. The ride is less than a minute and you can only go so fast through the inversions. So, it must be doing inversions for nearly the entire ride. Too bad they didn't cover Tomb Raider more, even though I don't like the ride.
