  1. Anyone that does not work at the park or in the industry is the GP.
  2. There's still two days left before the end of the week.
  3. If I had a dollar for every time you've mentioned POV, I could buy a boat!
  4. It exists. It's real. And it's spectacular! We'll be sharing photos and video of one of the most anticipated new rides in the world when the time is right to do so.
  5. I remember seeing actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth, known for her Broadway role as Galenda in 'Wicked' performing in an Opryland show called Way Out West. They had some great shows. I'd travel to Nashville two or three times every summer in the 1980's to visit Opryland.
  6. In the age of COVID-19, I, like many people in America, was forced to work from home for the past 10-plus weeks where I and others at the park would need a pretty long lens to capture photos and video to show the grand scale of this new baby. That's how the world was working these days.
  7. 46.93% of the park's posts on Facebook beginning January 1 through February 29 were focused on Orion, which is a significantly higher number than barely anything.
  8. You won't until later this month. It will be announced when you can begin to purchase or reserve a visit.
  9. Low ridership? Don't be fooled by wait times. Adventure Express is a high capacity ride and annually ranks among the top attractions in the park for ridership.
  10. The primary purpose of the registration is to collect t-shirt sizes and coaster club affiliation information so membership can be verified in advance with the participating clubs.
  11. Here is the link: visitkingsisland.com/ace Everyone registering must have been an active member of ACE by Dec. 31, 2019 to be eligible to attend the Orion Media Day event and will be required to present a valid ACE membership card at check-in. Registration will end Feb. 28. Everyone who qualified will be notified in March.
  12. With track work now complete, the Orion construction live-stream camera will be shut down beginning this evening (Feb. 6) through the end of March. Be sure to check out Kings Island's official Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube channels to watch new time-lapse footage of Orion being constructed tonight at 7 p.m.
  13. Any registrations submitted prior to ACE being informed registration for Orion Media Day is now open will not be valid.
  14. I responded to your tweet. If you are having an issue while at the park, Guest Services is where you should go. We can address your concerns far better in person than we can when we see them on a fan site or social media.
  15. Did you stop at Guest Services to discuss your experience at the Miami River Brewhouse and Boo Blasters or just file the issues you encountered during your visit on Twitter and KIC? BTW ... you did get a response to your Miami River Brewhouse tweet.
  16. We went from having several individual coaster club and enthusiast organization events a year to one major event a year with the creation of Coasterstock in 2015. We still do a number of things for individual coaster clubs and enthusiast organizations outside of Coasterstock, just in a different way than having an event. Last year, we introduced K.I. Blog Meetups, offering a series of behind-the-scenes opportunities that included behind-the-scenes video and photo opportunities of The Beast, Racer, Firehawk and Gravity, which included a Q&A with the cast. With the blog meetups, you didn't have to be a member of an approved coaster club or enthusiast organization to participate. Park admission was the only requirement.
  17. Might be the only Twitter account with more people blocked than followers.
  18. Actually, Chad never left. He's been at the park for almost a year now.
  19. We just published a blog on the K.I. website about the show that includes an interview with Lou Mack. Kings Island dog show features world-class canine athletes
  20. Due to the potential for inclement weather on Tuesday, the Photo Shoot on Diamondback, The Beast and Racer has been cancelled.
  21. On May 22, Kings Island will have a photo shoot at the park, and there is a need for riders from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Diamondback, The Beast and Racer. Here are some of the rules: - All riders must meet the height requirements. - Riders must wear plan clothing (no logos or patterns -- must be bright and shiny). - This is not exclusive ride time. The number of rides on each attraction will depend on the shots the photo crew needs to capture. - You might sit and wait. And wait some more. - You will be assigned your seat by the production crew. - Hands must be kept down and inside the cars at all times. - Photos, video and social media sharing is not permitted during your time with us during the shoot. Interested? Please email your first and last name, age, city, state and KIC user name to socialmedia@visitkingsisland.com. Due to high demand, you will ONLY be contacted if you are chosen to participate. You must respond no later than Thursday, May 17 by 6:00 p.m. Please use Extras for KI Photo Shoot in the email subject line. Thank you! Don Helbig
  22. Coasterstock tickets are available to purchase online only. The opportunity to purchase tickets for the event ends May 6. Coasterstock materials for those who chose the pre-check option will be shipped beginning the week of April 30.
  23. Thank you for contributing to the KI Blog!
  24. A power flicker occurred caused by a reoccurring intermittent issue with Duke Energy's substation outside the park.
