  1. I'm prolly going to get hate for this.....mbut I'm glad. Sucks to see a coaster leave. But that thing was rough. Being a taller person didnt help either, knees would get bashed into the front of the inside of the cars. The transitions werent smooth either. But..despite all of its flaws, I did ride every time I went. One time and that was it, I dont think I couldn't handle more than just one each visit. Firehawk was uncomfortable, but not rough. And the angle before the lift lying back gave me a headache, and its capacity was terrible, but it was far more comfortable and smoother than Vortex.

    Well once someone is over 48" they can start to ride more rides outside of Planet Snoopy without an adult and that is a distinction...

    Which would be a reason for a price increase...so wouldnt it make since for 52" and 54"?

  3. I understand what y'all mean about things needing checked, and being more of a pain. Color coded wristbands arent difficult to check. Eiffel Tower, pools, and the railroad should still be allowed. Thing is, imho, there isnt that much to do aside from ride rides. If I didnt ride, and my family did, I wouldnt see justifying paying full admission price. And why should my daughter that cant ride all the rides cause shes not 54", be the same price as those that can?

  4. I know it probably wont ever happen, but they ahould have different prices for other heights aside from just under 48, and 48+. It would probably help with ticket sales (not that its a problem) and may help with the height check issue. Have 3 other ticket options. One is for those that dont even ride rides that is cheaper than the regular general admission, then one for 52+, and one for 54+.

  5. Im not sure if this has been discussed or not but how does the online purchasing fees work? If you purchase parking, cup, tickets, and FL+, will the fees be higher than if you just purchased the tickets?

  6. Really betrays the fact that it's just a concrete trough in the middle of a finely-manicured, landscaped lawn surrounded in gravel with a dozen dogwoods, rather than a gorgeously forested, natural-looking lake that would one day fill-in and grow into a reflective, shaded, and beautiful corner of the park with a roller coaster built into the terrain.

  7. Told my wife I wanted to ride WWC today . She said I'll get the quarters.

    So if you are riding WWC and have the quarters what are planning on doing? Toss them up to the people by the cannons? Or did you mean? She said, "I'll get the quarters."

  8. Does anybody thin that with the 24 million investment, KI would have been better served building a giga highlighting a new entrance to the park (which is sorely needed). That's what I wanted them to do, but I can't put down Banshee because I've never been on it. I do prefer high gigas with airtime to rides that do multi inversions though.

    Me personally, not at all Banshee is amazing. But never ridden a giga either.

  9. Just all depends. Its nearly impossible to predict the crowds. If your worried about waiting in line stash the extra money and buy a fast pass when you get to the park based on the crowds. I find though on my two must rides (Banshee and Diamondback) the capcity is great and even on crowed days the line doesnt seem to get over 30-45 minutes.

    Also scored a free ticket to KI tonight. Gonna use that for the announcement day. Unfortunately, I won't be able to ride anything due to my injury. I will be filming and looking into live streaming on YouTube. I'll keep you posted. :)

  11. Captain Thrillbeard will hold off on his usual one-or-two-cannon salute under the following circumstances:

    1. Visibly frightened or crying small children (it's just not cool);

    2. Full boatloads of already-drenched riders (waste of a good quarter);

    3. Boats where, within reason, riders are trying to hold valuables clear of getting wet (including electronics that appear to be turned off);

    4. Most importantly: Boats with any rider who is violating safety rules (I will not interfere with the op advising them to correct it).

    If he hears the mid-course operator telling a rider to put a phone/camera away, and the rider emerges from under the trestle defiantly still video-recording, the Captain will gladly fund, and solicit all around to join in the unleashing of the Kraken!

    Depending on the device that may provoke further recording.

  12. Ok, we all know coasters and rides have records, longest, fastest, most inverts, etc? Even records of r most naked riders. How do we set up a time for trying to make a better record? Think I could do most consecutive rides on some.

  13. ^Honestly maybe it's me, but seems as though the holdup with most coasters with belts is not the buckling or checking during loading, it's first the struggle with getting unbuckled, then finagling your way out during unloading. The finagling part isn't really an issue on DB, but pretty much every other Coaster KI, same with the unbuckling.
