  1. On Sunday they had both lines open, although the small buyout crowd could have had something to do with this.
  2. If you are referring to the trim just as you enter the turnaround, it has been there for a while.
  3. Ignore this comment...Standing on tip toes will not work, their feet must be flat on the ground when being measured. If they are very close, whoever is measuring will usually try their best to get that last little bit. If it doesn't work out...not to worry there is still plenty for that child to experience. Certainly don't take it out on whoever is measuring they are just looking out for you're child's safety.
  4. I always consult the National Weather Service for my weather reports. www.weather.gov
  5. I think the problem with additional wait time in the regular line comes down to training of the ride staff on how to handle the FL system. There is no reason that on any ride much less Firehawk that an entire train should be filled with only FL riders, I'd say a car maybe 2 if the line is very long. What the park needs to convey to the rides associates is that it's ok for FL holders to wait too. They will still get on quicker than the regular line, but they should not automatically be a priority. On my last visit to Disney a number of year ago we used the FastPass system quite frequently and every ride that we used the pass for we still had to wait in a line to get on. We were not given priority over those waiting in the regular line. If they can manage it so the FL people still have to wait, even just a little bit, I think it will come across as a more fair system.
  6. I wouldn't hold your breath on this one, I don't see Fast Lane being free for anyone in the future.
  7. When you get hired, you get to choose from a list of locations with openings. If you don't want to work at Skyline and it's available, don't pick it.
  8. It's all about marketing. Fast Lane is not geared to season pass holders, but for those that are new guests of KI and for those that can only spend 1 day at the park. We all know Fast Lane is only worth it for a handful of rides, but for those unfamiliar with the park, the more rides offered for Fast Lane, the better the deal sounds. At times i wish it was geared for season pass holders, it would take a load of line waiting away from my stay Why? You have the opportunity that many do not have, the ablility to come to the park as many times as you want over the entire season (except for private events). If the lines are long and slow on a day that you are there, leaving the park will not make you feel as though you wasted your money because you know you can come back tomorrow, the next day, and the next. Now let's say you just paid to park, and get into the park for your 1 visit to KI this year. The lines are long and slow. The question now becomes is it worth a little more money for me to get all of your favorite rides in by the end of the day? IMO it's worth the extra money given the circumstances. As Browntggrr said, this is the market for this system. It doesn't mean that no one else can use it However, I really don't see why a season pass holder would want to buy such a pass when they can come at off-peak times through out the season.
  9. Under Paramount ownership it was called Oscar's. It was an in-house operation therefore when an employee was hired by the food department they had the option of working in Oscar's. They served hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and fries everyday. They also had a rotating entree, sometimes 2 that was very reasonably priced. My favorite was when they would have Skyline 3 ways or cheese coneys. You could get out of oscars with a filling meal including a fountain soft drink for about $5-$7.
  10. Considering Chipotle closes at 10, right when the park will be closing during most of the summer, and Taco Bell is open until the wee hours of the morning. I don't see them pulling out of that location.
  11. Ugh why would you downgrade like that?
  12. Didn't the park put the kabosh on Beast ERT last year and replaced it with WS & Vortex?
  13. Actually it will be a lot easier than you think. Opening ET will be easy all they will have to do is have IS open on these mornings. As far as FO (aka Invertigo), remember that there is an access path on the side of the theatre that dumps out between the ride entrance and the restrooms thus allowing them to block access to the rest of AZ.
  14. If it was a few days before opening this might be a good argument, but there is still plenty of time to take those signs down (including the BB signs). There are higher priority items to be taken care of before the parking lot signs.
  15. Agreed. Let's say they do re-open in 2013, who is going to buy a season pass from them after what was just announced.
  16. Gold pass parking will be located at The Beach Waterpark in 2012
  17. IMO I think many on here are over thinking the complexity of making SC a seperate attraction/charge. I believe that there are few hurdles that must be overcome but some that could easily be figured out before the 2013 season. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if KI officials start discussing this option as early as next week if they haven't already started.

  19. Oh and a few pointers from "the toughest interviewer" -Firm handshake & eye contact are key - I could pretty much tell if I was going to hire someone based on their handshake and if they made eye contact with me while shaking my hand before any questions were asked -SMILE - You're interviewing for a job at an amusement park -Be interactive - Don't just give 1 word answers, give examples when you have them, tell appropriate stories to back up a statement, it will make you more comfortable -Dress to impress - First impressions are everything and this is the first thing the HR staff is going to see when you walk through their doors. This is also another key thing I looked at/for during the handshake. I'm not saying a 3 piece suit is necessary, but business casual at the very least.
  20. ^16 to work in rides Each character escort is assigned to a character. The character suits are big and bulky making it very difficult for the person inside to see and hear. You will esentially be their eyes and ears when they are out in the view of the public and behind the scenes you will help them get into and out of the costume. It used to be that you could also be used for various other jobs within the entertainment department when your character is not out in the park but that may have changed a bit in the past few years. You could always ask your interviewer more specifics at your interview.
  21. Sadly many current and former KI employees can say they have seen a guest like this at the park. Makes one appreciate our security guards and park police and what they deal with regularly
  22. Keep in mind (as has been the case the past few years) the park is closed for a private event on April 29
  23. When you say consecutive, are you getting out and walking through the entrance each time or just staying seated in the same seat without having to get out?
