  1. AE's 3 train capacity is 1600
  2. Steep...Really? I think anything under $200 is a steal. Considering you have unlimited access to all CF parks and free parking. You only need to visit a total of 4 times (@ regular admission) to receive the full monetary value of the platinum pass.
  3. I have never seen as issue on BLSC when it rains? All depends on the LIMs used... BLSC's LIMS were made for outdoor use, while others (cough cough) are not able to be exposed to water at all without damaging the LIMS and causing other significant problems.
  4. Staffing may have had something to do with the lack of assigned seating on Monday.
  5. ^Sounds like an efficient way to "separate," although I don't think such a system would work well on BLSC as there are a limited number of seats (12).
  6. An odd sight indeed... The question is, if they saw this happening, would a security guard take the time to stop and ask what was going on and order this woman to cease her garbage rooting?
  7. ^Glad I could make your day...lol As I said I have no problem with either system being in place as the same opportunity is available to me for the same price as everyone else.
  8. College football is something to look forward to...not much to look forward to if you're a Bengals fan
  9. Preferred parking does not bother me one little bit either because no one is jumping ahead of me in line...they are waiting their turn just like me...they just happen to be purchasing a higher quality parking place. (Kind of like a nicer hotel room.) But wouldn't they be getting to the gate quicker than you, which would allow them to possibly get the last chair available in BB, and might also allow them to get into line before you for your favorite BB ride?
  10. But with each day that goes by, that brings us one day closer to the milestone we have been looking forward to for years...KI's 40th Anniversary!
  11. And the season pass with it's perks and benefits is not an "elitist" program in itself?
  12. As CedarPointer said, this is nothing new. Preferred parking has been in the main lot for a number of years. I approach this the same way I do the Fast Lane, if someone wants to pony up their own money to pay the extra $8 to park in the preferred lot, then it doesn't bother me one bit.
  13. It would make sense that the winds off Lake Erie would cause some resistance to CP's WS
  14. ^I'm asking the customer directly for him to clarify what he considers a quality parking lot since he doesn't seem to think that he's getting his moneys worth (assuming that he actually is paying and doesn't have a parking pass). Give me some examples of what you see and like at other parks that you would like to see implemented in KI's parking lot. I agree that one should expect a certain level of quality returned for what you pay (ie: food), however I just don't see how much more can be done with a parking lot as long as it is maintained.
  15. What constitutes this "quality parking" you speak of? Parking seems pretty cut and dry to me...just give me a lot to park in which my car won't get hit when people pull out, can be easily navigated, and won't get a flat tire traveling through the lot...
  16. I suggest contacting the Human Resources Department with your question. They will be able to give you the correct information you are seeking.
  17. It's nothing new, KI has been moitoring these forums and other forums for a number of years. Mostly to be sure that insider information was not being released by unauthorized employees.
  18. Perfect example of the target market for this product, and it appears to be doing what it is intended to do from your experience.
  19. Believe it or not, but there was once a time when there was no air conditioning...how did we ever survive?
  20. While true, I think we would agree it's better to over-estimate a wait time rather than under-estimate a wait time.
  21. A parking structure would not mesh well with the KI skyline, I don't see them going that route unless they wanted to fork out the money for an underground parking garage...and we all know the chances of that happening.
  22. Experience has shown that just because someone puts something away when they're told, doesn't mean they won't get it back out later while riding...by taking it away, the ride op could make sure that your phone didn't leave your pocket until you exited the ride.
  23. ^I don't see it as nitpicking, just pointing out the hypocritical nature of your comment… On one hand you said you enjoyed the gold pass speed lane when it was available to you. On the other you explained how you do not see it as fair that someone pays an extra $50, thus making them “better” than those who didn’t, and not having to wait in the normal line. You paid more to be a gold season pass holder of Paramount’s Kings Island and nothing in this world is free. One of the perks included in your pass was the opportunity to obtain a speed lane pass. Correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t that make you “better,” by your very own definition, than someone who purchased a ticket at the gate that day? Weren’t you that very same person who slowed up my line a number of years ago by taking advantage of that speed lane? It should also be noted, as pointed out by multiple members, this $50 perk is available to all guests, not just gold pass holders as was previously done with your beloved gold speed lane pass.
  24. WhoDey, was that text so impotant that you couldn't have waited another 5 minutes to respond to it? You need to realize that your disregard for the rules is what started this whole incident including the reaction from the ride op.
  25. Who is at fault when a customer goes to get their car washed and it's forecasted to rain that same day. Does the car wash owe it to the customer to advise them of the impending rain later that day before allowing them to get their car washed? Shouldn't the owner of the car have already looked into that before making the decision to pay for a car wash? There is a certain level of responsibility required on the part of the consumer. In this case, I don't see it as unreasonable for a guest to walk around or ride a few rides to guage how the lines are moving and then make the decision whether to buy the pass or not.
