Man, riding Mystic Timbers before and after Steel Vengeance is so much different. Feels like a family coaster now not a thrilling woodie.

The rain didn’t scare anybody off. Its light for a saturday but Diamondback is 30-45 minutes, walk on earlier today.

I am making a last minute trip from cleveland, arriving around 3. Hopefully the thunderstorms miss us. I’m interested to see how things feel after riding Steel Vengeance 13 times.

All I want is a totally renovated parking lot. It is sad that it is as rough as it is currently.

It's been a few years since I was at the Friday night of CP's closing weekend, but I don't remember the crowds being exceptionally bad. They're likely heavier than Halloweekends opening weekend, but nothing stands out as being exceptionally bad. Saturday will likely be INSANE, with the causeway likely being modified via cones to have all but one lane being for traffic heading into Cedar Point. When I go to Halloweekends, I usually stick around for early entry and leave, if I even stay that long.
i mean Kings Island crowds not Cedar Point lol. I said i am coming FROM Cleveland.

Thinking about coming down from Cleveland for next weekend. How crowded is closing weekend usually? I will be going Friday night and maybe Saturday morning.

just going to leave this here...

Well Cedar Point was a disaster today. The entire main lot was 100% full and the overflow lot was about 80%. Fastlane was $150 and Maverick's Fastland queue was out the gate and wrapped around and almost into frontier inn. Millennium Force had a 3 hour wait at one point; it also had its Fast Lane queue full. GateKeeper, Valravn, and Wicked Twister were full queues. The All Wheels Exteme show was 100% full which is super rare. Overall it was an awful day to be at the park. Food lines actually weren't bad. Atleast the weather was nice...

That would of ben a dream come true.
RMC said the structure was too unstable to work with. You could literally spin most of the bolts in the structure.

Apparently Lighting Rod is open now, but there was a major reduction in the speed of the ride. Apparently there is a lot less airtime and is kind of forceless.

Tomorrow is my first trip to CP in probably 20 years. What's the best order to ride without doubling back much? I'd like to be close to the place that has the perch sandwich for lunch around 11 or 4 before I leave. For ERT go to Millennium Force, then Maverick, then get in line for Dragster since it opens at 10. Then just ride do whatever. The rides at the front of the park don't have big lines usually in the afternoon.

Awesome video. This project is looking like one heck of a ride. Wondering what records this will break? CP seems to do that with every installation. Any thoughts, ideas?
Tallest fastest and longest hybrid, most hybrids, most steel track in 1 park, most overall track in 1 park, most coasters over 200ft, And some other sketchy marketing stuff

So normal day at CP, just less people.
Winds are forecast to be a bit less than today and it didn't seem to impact ops. Might try and get a short visit in Sunday.
Things started to open up the 2nd half of the day. The only notable things were gemini and magnum didn't even test. Probably not cleared by the state.

Cedar Point is a ghost town. Id say the longest line right now is 25 minutes. Lots of break downs though.

Its ghost town today. Walked on everything so far besides Invertigo.

I was prepared for ejector airtime like most GCI's so I was very underwhelmed with the ride. I rode Gold Striker a couple weeks ago so I have a good benchmark for how a good gci feels. This felt a lot more like a family coaster and not a top 3 in the park. Im going to try again today and maybe I will get a better row.

Banshee is 5 min. Diamondback back was around 20-30 when i just got off. Those operators are hustling!!!

Banshee is around 15 min. The operators are killing it. Diamondback looked to be around 30-45 min depending on how good the ops are. Id say 3-4 switchbacks were filled in the main section.

Mystic timbers is back up and is a full queue.

RFYLCB just started pumping water. I can hear it in the timbers queue

I grew up 15 minutes from KI and went there for many years. My father got his job transferred to Cleveland. I think Cedar Point is a way more enjoyable experience. You don’t have to deal with the annoying middle school gangs, and the people are a lot less self entitled I guess you can say (besides Fast Lane). The food is better at KI, but Cedar Point has gotten a lot better the last few years. As long as you don’t go on a saturday, you can pretty much get everything done. I don’t even care about riding much just because Steel Vengeance is so much better than any ride in the park. I try to get at least 2 rides a trip. I usually get 3 and I have 13 rides on it in 5 trips. I used to like KI better, but now it just seems like child’s play compared to Cedar Point.
