  1. The longest I saw a line get up to on Thursday was 45 minutes for Diamondback. I was very impressed with the operations since it was my first visit back since opening weekend. There were still some stacks but it was a lot better. I saw a phone laying on the track after the mcbr. Anybody else see it? It was silver.

  2. I haven't seen it mentioned yet, may have missed it, but they now have food ordering kiosks over at Juke Box Diner. It may be elsewhere but I've only been to Juke today. And of course the kiosk couldn't find my meal plan...

This is the same case as at Cedar Point. Atleast it will help the general public with lines.

  3. I think I remember them being used during the construction of Son of Beast.

SOB was also what... 200+ feet tall?

This coaster will more than likely have a crane as well, just for bigger pieces that can not be hauled by hand. (Or metal track that is RMC...)

Wildfire in Europe is a wooden RMC and its crane is still up after it just started testing.

  4. Haven't posted in a long time, but had a question and was curious if someone could enlighten me. Recently I was lucky enough to take a trip to SFMM thanks to my sister living out there now. While there, we rode the GCI roller coaster formerly known as Terminator: Salvation The Ride, now dubbed Apocalypse: The Ride. My sister pleaded with me not to go on it, but I love wooden roller coasters, so she was going to have to deal with it. Now I know that not all coasters are the same and that not all companies are perfect, but this particular GCI was absolutely awful. I couldn't wait to get off and I'm not someone who doesn't love the whole getting beat up and out of control on a wooden coaster, well maybe not SOB beat up ;)

Did I catch this coaster on a bad day? Does it have a bad reputation to others? I know I've ridden GCI's before, at Hersheypark, but I really don't remember if I enjoyed them or not.

On a side note, I really really really want an RMC Hybrid coaster. Twisted Colossus was the biggest surprise I maybe have ever had on a roller coaster and it was by far my favorite ride in the park. It was the only one we rode 3 times all day, and that was by choice. (Although I didn't get a chance to ride X2 because (shocker) it was down for the day)

There seems to be a lot of love for GCI which usually means that they have good coasters, just curious why the more recent Apocalypse was so bad?

I think it is just Six Flags' fault because I rode it in 2012 and it was so smooth. It was my favorite ride of the day.

  5. I think it is going to be prowler-esque and not a clone. If this is the layout then it is going to be GCI, which could still have some inversions or a launch, simply because of the drop. I don't think any of the RMC's have a twisted drop in them.

The Joker that just opened has a curved drop. My favorite part about a GCI are the couches cough cough seats.

  6. What ever happens I just feel the north side of the park is better spacing for a giga. The Rivertown area seems a little tight to Squeeze in a Giga. But CF nows how to make things happen. So we will see. Would have been perfect t if they would have just made DB a giga. It's placement is perfect.

  7. I like how Cedar Point has a bunch of freestyle "rooms" i guess you could say. They also have a lot more snack related restaurants which are less popular so people naturally use those for refills. Kings Island just doesnt have enough places to refill cups. Another thing I see at Cedar Point is there are less cups per capita. The average weight of a guest is a lot lower there too? Coincidence? I think not. I don't even have a cup. I just spring for the water fountains with a water bottle so it fits in my pocket. I save money on lockers, and the initial cup while staying healthy.

  8. Oldiesmann and bm0324 try leaning your head forward a little on Rougarou. If you rest your head all the way back, you're going to have a headache for sure. I will admit even with the transformation into a Floorless roller coaster, there is still a couple spots where you bump your head, but other than that, it's been a big success for Cedar Point. Anybody else on here like Rougarou?

This may sound crazy but the back row is the smoothest. I know this sounds crazy but I felt a rattle on Valravn back row and Rougarou was glossy. It is running so good this year.

  9. Cedar Point seemed fantastic opening weekend. The employees knew all the dining plan options and that they actually changed from last year. The Panda Express line that took me 30 min at KI opening day took me 10 min Cedar Point opening sunday
