  1. That is station track, so the train will be parked on it quite a bit. This isn’t the same piece of track that we previously seen loaded up at CSF. That piece was transfer track and was painted on the ends. The piece that arrived today with Don standing in front of is station track. It’s a different piece.
  2. I know they'll do whatever they can to appease the homeowners on the other side of the river, but I wish this thing could be heard from all across the park. Just as a reminder that it's there, no matter where you're at.
  3. I'm with you - people are hating on this ride because of its length. I don't want the length to be so much that the ride becomes a plodding cow by the end of the run. I want SPEED.
  4. Do we even have any supports on site yet?
  5. Okay, so decoding is over and construction is in full swing. When did Banshee and Mystic Timbers get their construction cams? Didn't we have them up and running before vertical construction began? Should we expect that very soon?
  6. I think even Clifford the big red crane is too small for this project, right?
  7. THAT is a proper crane for building a giga coaster.
  8. This would be amazing. There's so much you could do with Flight of Fear's indoor queue area to fit the theme.
  9. It's basically the symbol for Polaris. Edit: Seems too obvious. I think someone's trolling and it'll be something else. No way they'd let the cat out of the bag with THAT.
  10. I don't think so - that doesn't appear to be a functional part of the truss (or whatever that is called) - good call!
  11. The blue track's identification numbers matched the identification numbers found on Kings Island's blueprints for each section of track. It's without a doubt ours.
  12. People already camped out for their spot? lol
  13. Today is the day that we could REALLY use some aerial photos. I'm guessing that trailer with track on it is sitting out of view of any vantage point in the park.
  14. I'm guessing the track IS on site somewhere, just hidden from public view. Will they be closing X-Base for a bit after 8 PM to prep for the 10 PM announcement?
  15. Eiffel Tower Record for Longest Drop 1972-2019 That's the clue that was just revealed on air.
  16. What news station is broadcasting this? Edit: Nevermind, found it. Here's the link to the live broadcast so all can watch: https://local12.com/watch
  17. If the coaster is over 315 feet tall - then the blueprints aren't correct. But I'm thinking this is more of a "the Eiffel Tower will no longer be the highest you can be in the park anymore" type deal. Hope I'm wrong.
  18. I've always wondered why they couldn't do a reveal with an actual piece of the track present...
  19. Apollo's Chariot at BGW is a B&M hyper, and has a lift shorter than 200 feet. It's drop is 210 feet. Everyone classifies it as a hyper coaster, including the manufacturer. There is no "definition" of the categories, because they're entirely subjective. Hell, TECHNICALLY, Fury 325 and Leviathan are both hyper coasters. There is no 'GIGA' coaster in the Bolliger and Mabillard portfolio of rides.
  20. Says who? Who is the official governing source on coaster categorization?
  21. Seriously. Leave the guy alone. I'm kinda getting an Eminem/Stan vibe right now.
  22. Cataclysm would be a great name for a disaster/end-of-the-world themed ride.
  23. LOL, I'm still on the 301' wagon, although I'll definitely eat my words if it's taller. Either way, it's going to be a satisfying addition to the skyline.
  24. I'm really hoping we've been hoodwinked and bamboozled. A record-breaking coaster for height would be amazing for our park and would absolutely destroy the Carowinds fanboys' spirits. But I'm not expecting it. And honestly, I'm fine with that. It's going to be an amazing coaster regardless.
