  1. Not sure if anyone else remembers, but around 2008-2011(?) I think there was an online store: kimarketplace.com. I was quite young at the time and had asked my parents for a hooded sweatshirt from that website. They said they tried to order it, but when they checked out they got no confirmation email, never got a delivery, and the credit card was never charged. It was like a ghost site for a while.

  2. This is so cool! Love to see that this kind of festival is coming to Kings Island, especially after all the effort put into International Street. It seems like perfect timing.

I know this is very doubtful, but I wonder if the "electrifying musical score" is original, or if it'll just be some bollywood hits and top 10 charts like some of the previous years' fireworks shows have been. I think an original score would be cool, and worth the investment for Cedar Fair if they're putting this parade at multiple parks. Regardless, I'm especially excited to see how they use the new lighting package on International Street for this show!

I'll echo the others and say I'm also curious about parade routes. Anyone remember what path the Nickelodeon parade took?

  3. Dang. This seems really soon to be taking this out. When working at the park, I can’t tell you how many people asked for that buffet place, only for me to tell them it’s been replaced with Reds. Guests are still getting use to it being RHoFG and now they’re changing it again.

Correct me if I’m wrong, wasn’t this opened in 2014 to replace Rivertown Junction?

  4. ^^

It’s honestly sad a lot of times because people only “hear” ride ops when they’re finally yelling or being stern with guests. But most don’t notice that this is not them being rude, it’s just them not being heard by the dis-obeying guests the first 3 times so they have to raise their voice. I wish they didn’t, but like you’ve observed, guests really can be completely oblivious sometimes. The ride ops do a lot to keep people safe and sometimes that means being stern with the guests.

Here’s the thing that kills me.  At 958 we were waiting to watch fireworks.   People were saying they weren’t going to happen. I went to guest services to ask and they had no idea why.  As we were walking out at 1004, no announcement had been made and there were still hundreds of people sitting and waiting.   Whoever made the official call should have to go tell everyone waiting that the show was cancelled.   Extremely poor handling with no communication tonight.

Did guest services at least know that the show was not happening or did they too think the fireworks were still on for the night?

  6. Oh, 100% agree with the "disappointment" feeling. Especially since graphics have gotten so good. Was especially turned off by this Mystic Timbers advert:

Especially since I had already ridden the ride before I saw it. But then I saw it, and was like "sooo it actually doesn't have working headlights, fog, OR working shed doors, all of which would make the ride 10x more immersive."

  7. Outside of Planet Snoopy, ride operators really seem confused about what the Snoopy licenses even are. If the issue persists, I encourage people to politely inform guests Services about the uniformed operators. But the purpose of the license is definitely to confirm height for the season.

  8. I ate at Hank's today as well. I was originally worried when I walked in (around 2:40pm) because only one side was open with only one register open. But the register associate as well as the food assembly associates were extremely fast. Got through a line of ~ 10 people in 15 minutes. The associate at the register was very very quick and knowledgeable, as he was able to sell me the season pass drink plan on the spot.

  9. I would love any input on getting the audio from Boo Blasters on Boo Hill.  It's my son's favorite ride!

Minus the FUNTV music in the queue, the ride doesn't really have any "music", per se. Just one ambience audio track that loops.
