  1. ^ that. [emoji13] thanks for clarifying it for me. I'm not sure if the park employs people to work in the chain restaurants, or the chains send people to work at Kings Island. Although I do know that Graeter's on International Street did NOT accept my Graeter's gift card, so that makes me think Kings Island runs the chains. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The Cincinnati-based food chains are the only chain restaurants available on the meal plan... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. https://www.carowinds.com/what-s-new/new-experiences-in-2015 "New in 2015 - Season Passholders can purchase an All Season Dining plan and enjoy a lunch and dinner each day at participating locations throughout Carowinds. The meal plan is simply uploaded on to your Season Pass ID card and scanned at the time of purchase. Buy yours this Fall before pricing goes up. Pricing as low as $74.25 when purchasing a 2015 Gold Pass." I'm not sure why Kings Island isn't offering a combination price like this at the moment. Maybe the All Season Dining plan isn't returning to KI next year... Also interesting to note: There is going to be a 4 hour interval between meals, as opposed to the 2 hour interval that we have here at Kings Island.
  4. When I was young and still hadn't conquered my fear of heights, the only ride I could do at the water park was Snowy River Rampage (now Zoom Flume)
  5. It mentioned that in the first section entitled, "Buy Online"
  6. An hour and a half commute is too close for Cedar Fair I guess.
  7. Google Maps satellite view of Geauga Lake really depresses me.
  8. I have a number of weird fears on certain rides at Kings Island: WindSeeker makes me nervous because I always fear that the two person chair might become detached from the pole (even though there are like ten bolts holding the chair and pole together). Drop Tower makes me nervous because I never know for sure that the magnetic brakes will kick in. (even though they always have and always do) The anticipation thing doesn't bother me that much. On Delirium I always have this thought in the back of my head that one day, the Frisbee part of the ride will fling off and fly towards the International Street fountain or towards Banshee. Then I proceed to tell myself just how crazy I am. I will probably keep going on Adventure Express until one of the jolts on the ride injures me. Flight of Fear makes me nervous because I think one of the LIM's might catch fire again. The Bat makes me nervous because I always think that the suspended train might derail, like Ninja did at Six Flags. My biggest (yet unrealistic) fear at KI? Probably Firehawk's restraints coming unlocked mid-ride.
  9. I bought this the other day when my extended family made a trip to the park (we had 15 people, but we split into groups) I ended up getting 26 ride photos emailed to me and felt like it was definitely worth the $29.99. Although the technology behind it didn't seem too good. Every time I went to get a photo emailed, they scanned the pass, and then had to retype the email every time and asked me to verify it EVERY TIME I wanted to email a photo. I feel like they should just ask me once for my email, have me verify it once, and then when they scan the pass the email should pop up right away, and no photo booth employee should be typing in the email every time I want a photo. Also, if you ask for a receipt, they will give you a receipt that shows you that you bought a $10.00 ride photo to be emailed, and they will then credit you with $10.00 every time, bringing the balance to $0.00. It made me feel good knowing I paid $29.99 for a $260.00 value ($10 per photo). This is a good deal for a large group of people.
  10. I don't understand why they would remove this ride photo. I mean, I feel someone would be just as likely to buy a Firehawk photo as they would be to buy a Flight of Fear photo. Maybe for different reasons, but still likely to buy both.
  11. Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle, yes. But I doubt that would've happened. To completely hide all the Scooby Doo references and replace them with Paranormal Activity references for only a month (or the duration of Fearfest) seems like quite a hassle. But perhaps they could have built a completely new dark ride (maybe with the same ride vehicle type used in the Indiana Jones Adventure) themed exclusively to Paranormal Activity.
  12. A list on KI's website as to when their live shows are closing would be nice.
  13. Had Viacom retained the parks (as opposed to CBS), do you think they would still have sought to sell them?
  14. I really really like White Water Canyon's new logo that it got this year. Although if I had to chose specifically a coaster, I'd go with Firehawk any day.
  15. The WindSeekers are named after Mondial's WindSeeker ride model (minus SteelHawk). But yes I generally agree that if you can take a basic ride model and add a bunch of theme to it (like what Paramount did to a HUSS top spin with Tomb Raider), it makes the experience ten times better.
  16. how about being named Troika, since it is a troika...
  17. The music removed is due to the fact that they have added FunTVs inside the building in the queue area. They replaced it with FunTV's audio. I guess they weren't making enough money from the 3D glasses, although I suppose if you had a pair from previous years they would still work on the ride. I have noticed that the ghosts that used to pop up and down on the wall where the organ used to be have been removed.
  18. Disney World is always improving in some way. Right now they're especially focused on the new DVC property at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, as well as refurbishing a swimming area at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. New Fantasyland and the Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa are their most recent and complete editions. I could agree that Disney World hasn't "stepped it up" as much as Universal has in the theme park area, but that being said: Disney World is always improving, but they have to improve upon more land as they have more facilities and properties to update than Universal. (i.e. hotels, shopping areas, golf courses, etc.)
  19. Does it launch slower because of the extra weight of the sixth car? (Flight of Fear has only five)
  20. It makes me sad because on Boo Blasters that was truly the only ride Me and my friends could make whatever face we wanted to easily. On all the other rides and roller coasters it isn't as easy to get exactly the picture you want cause you is moving so fast.
  21. So I haven't seen Flight of Fear's ride photo booth operating this year yet. And they seem to have removed Boo Blaster's photo booth completely. Any idea as to why they removed on-ride photos for these two rides? They're both indoor rides... It also removed two ride photos that could have been eligible for that all day photo pass for $29.99.
  22. I'm going soon for an all day trip. So as far as we know, there is no "recharge" time on either the $10.00 one for normal 20 oz. cups or the $6.99 one for Souvenir Cups?
