  1. He was promoted to Regional Manager Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Fun Fact This will actually be Kings Island's 46th season, but I suppose they are celebrating the competition of 45 seasons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 15 year olds can work Food, Admissions, Games, or Merchandise in select locations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I would LOVE to see a B&M flyer come to Cedar Point. I was sort of saddened in a way when we got Firehawk because I knew that meant we wouldn't ever get a B&M Flyer. But I mean I am biased, since Flying Coasters are by far my fav type of coaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You must be at least 16 to work in rides period. The 18-and older positions are the control booths at major attractions. This excludes smaller rides, however. For this reason, you'll often see younger associates in the Planet Snoopy Area, where only two rides (Flying Ace drive and Woodstock Express drive) have positions that require you to be 18. 6. How many years old is the HWN event? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. That's how I feel about the brake shed on the first part of The Beast, just kills the fun of picking up speed.
  8. I'm guessing April 13th for Media Day if this pass holder thing is on the 14th Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So since we were confirmed a SP Preview night, I think that sets media day for April 13th. Hopefully we'll see info about the charity auction soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Wow so this now four-year Cirque-style show run is going to leave The KI Theater with some big shoes to fill once all cirque-style shows leave.
  11. Do we know for sure if Cirque is returning? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Awesome! Please be sure to rally for efficient capacity Mystic and your crew! The guests and enthusiasts alike waiting for Mystic this year will certainly appreciate it! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. So Soak City has some major hour modifications. The first half of June has an hour less of park time for week days Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You'll probably be in a group interview of 2-3 people. Just be yourself! Answer the questions honestly, and be prepared to have an answer if they offer you a job on the spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm gonna go to Cedar Point for the first time since 2011 if it kills me. That and Holiday World I will be disappointed if I miss this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. That marketing is similar to how Kings Island has marketing Mystic and Banshee; that is, sending items in to media outlets hinting at what could be in the works. (Truck for Mystic; Silver Hair Comb for Banshee) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So Am I correct in my assumption that the $79 non-pass holder ticket includes admission both days? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. As I believe Malem mentioned before, your photo ID name must match your membership card name from the coaster club you belong to. So yes, you'll need the membership in hand.
  19. They might swing back into action, but they sure won't snap.
  20. Another very minor issue, but I can't seem to figure out how to incorporate a signature. It doesn't look like anyone else has a signature either, maybe it's been discontinued?
  21. Most run with two trains with a rated 850 riders per hour. My thinking is that there might be a slow portion during the shed which is the pull factor for adding a third train to keep capacity up.
  22. A lot of ride operators start timid on the microphones, but I'm sure they get used to it with time and practice. In my opinion, when operators are good and clear on the microphone, capacity increases for that hour.
  23. Does anyone know if Mystic Timbers (or GCI coasters in general) will have drive wheels in the station and brake runs to further capacity? Or will they operate similarly to Beast where the brakes are simply released and gravity takes the train out of the station? Anyone know from previous GCI rides? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. In my opinion, adding a 300 ft roller coaster near the front entrance of the park will absolutely butcher the skyline. I definitely think we will get a giga eventually and definitely think it should be put behind Racer or somewhere near X-Base and the old SOB rose bowl section. It would definitely not look good at the front of the park. Guests really should be focused on the beauty of International Street and the Eiffel Tower when they first enter the park (and I still don't like how Invertigo stands out). With 300+ feet, the coaster will add perfectly to the skyline from the interstate if it's put behind everything else in the back of the park. Color scheme-wise, I personally think that a dark purple and light gray color scheme would look amazing.
  25. Just purchased my tickets! This will be my first-ever enthusiest event and I'm super excited! I was unable to attend previous years because of work and having to study for exams. Luckily for me, my exams are exactly the week before Coasterstock so it'll be like my reward to finishing finals! Two questions: How long has Coasterstock and Coastermania been running? I thought Coasterstock was a relatively new event. Is it ok to check-in around 4:00 or 5:00 on Friday afternoon, or do you have to check-in during morning hours?
