  1. If they can "100%" update restrooms, I'm sure they can stretch and spend a few extra bucks to give us X Base restrooms Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I just read the thread title...I think it's spelled orca (as opposed to orka) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I bought a 12 month calendar at Cedar Point last year and asked the same thing. Flagship parks get the better merchandise managers, I guess?
  4. ^ lots of pro-captivity people have pointed that out: https://instagram.com/p/BDDjRVwMEsC/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. 2013 was the last year for on-ride photos at Boo Blasters and FoF. In 2014 came Banshee, with the on-ride video experiment coming later in the season. I remember this because 2014 was also the first year they had that all day photo pass for $29.99. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Details means that opening day is just around the corner! https://mobile.twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/710619399229743104 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. PETA will never be done. I think it's interesting to point out how much of an opportunity Blackfish was for them to throw hate against SeaWorld. PETA is against ALL animals in captivity. They simply used this incident as fuel to start a fire with the major marine life "zoo" (i.e. SeaWorld). The move on SeaWorld's part was sure a smart decision, it just proves that public opinion can change a company. Especially a company that relies on people's loyalty to come back to its parks.
  8. Maybe Firehawk's on-ride photo is having the same fate of its next-door neighbor... While I hate to think this, I can't tell you how many times I rode Firehawk last season and the photo booth was either a) not staffed, or the monitors were broken and staff were telling people that it would be fixed "soon". I think all on-ride photos are really cool and I don't think they should be getting rid of them as quickly as they are. Hopefully the on-ride photo for Firehawk will still be there, maybe it's just not a FunPix location for whatever reason.
  9. - Diamondback - located in a curved up dip right before Mid Course Break Run - Banshee - located in first loop - The Beast - located in first drop into tunnel - Vortex - located in the last two inversion elements - Race for Your Life Charlie Brown - located on the final Splashdown hill - Woodstock Express - located at second drop - The Great Pumpkin Coaster - located at first drop Honorable Mention: On-Ride photos recently removed: Boo Blasters on Boo Hill & Flight of Fear Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It seems Mondo Monsoon has been omitted "Rider Height Guide" on the back of the Park Map.
  11. How do they do it over at the Soak City bypass? Security guard or ride op?
  12. Stand-up? Just sayin.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Wanted to clarify: The reason Chick-Fil-A and Panda are so quick is probably because they are staffed by CFA and Panda themselves. They have their own name tags, that is, the ones not adorned with the Kings Island logo in either a white, blue, or yellow strip of plastic. All other food service locations in the park are staffed by Kings Island's food department. The only food service restaurant that KI seems to be operating correctly is RHoF Grille. I concur with the other's that KI needs to fix this issue. Howwweevvveerrrr I really really really want them to keep the wraps. I know they probably weren't the most popular option. And I definitely know it took employees forever to make them, but it really is a great healthy option closest to the front entrance of the park. #SaveTheWraps2016
  14. Lots movement on the Diamondback webcam right now...white pick ups and forklifts are running every which way.
  15. Well I'd say that with all of this Rivertown construction, I've realized that one of three things probably will happen. The Crypt building will either 1) be torn down and the land will be utilized for further construction, 2) be repurposed for a completely new indoor attraction, or 3) kept solely for Halloween Haunt. Personally, I'd really like to avoid choice 3 if at all possible. The construction happenings around Rivertown has made me thirst for some new attractions in that area.
  16. No wraps?? That was my favorite!!! I would always use that as a "healthier" option for my lunch as I passed Kings Island on Kings Island Drive. Run to Kings Island, grab some lunch right inside the front gate with my dining plan, then leave and go about my day.
  17. Someone might have posted this before, but I can't get enough of just imagining this music on KI's International Street... *sigh*...
  18. I often ponder what might have happened if the woman hadn't called in about an alleged injury due to the coaster. Would Son of Beast still be operating? Did Cedar Fair actually fix the ride in 2007? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Kings Island released a picture of Backlot Stunt Coaster with its trains on the track. But I'm a bit concerned about that bright unrealistic red "gas tank" in the upper left corner...is that new paint? from @kingsislandpr on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/BCbtMyrOOC_/?taken-by=kingsislandpr)
  20. Cedar Fair Entertainment Company chooses what parks they want to be "destinations", carefully? A lot of times, it seems, that gigas tend to increase a park's overall attendance; oftentimes with visitors from across the country (see Fury 325) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I mean. It's obvious they're not just filling holes because they have too many people working. Every physical change they make to the park has to have some purpose; whether or not that purpose is for a big project. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. YES^. I was just watching a vlog on YouTube of someone in Kings Dominion and that parks's IS music is phenomenal. Is this attention to detail because maybe they have to compete with Busch? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
