  1. Has anyone noticed that there are a ton of people abusing the handicap ride pass program? Yesterday there was a teen in front of us, she explained that she couldn't stand because she had sandals with a strap around her ankle and had caught it standing in line for a ride, they actually have her a pass, I was stunned and if I hadn't seen it I would not have believed it.
  2. I got really annoyed Friday when we were there, only the one line was open. There was a group of school kids in front of us with their chaperone, well I guess they were so thirsty they just couldn't wait to get up there so they went to the machines that were closed. The chaperone just kept laughing and encouraging it, I swear I wanted to say something so bad but I didn't want to start something. When I got to the cashier I did nicely tell her as the group was at the other register. Just such a wrong example to set for kids but then again I've seen quite a few things this year that have made me shake my head.
  3. For me I was very disappointed with the attitude of a lot of the staff due to my limitations and using the ride pass system. The rides are better but I cannot just ride SV over and over, it's too much on my hip. I love their other rides and go to experience everything not just one ride. We went on a Tues and Wed and still did not get on everything we wanted, but I have to take things slower than most, I can't power walk and go nonstop. The addition of Ms Keets has led me to like their food better, but there was hardly anything open to try besides that. KI in my opinion just has nicer staff, I had an issue at CP w a higher up very well known employee and it just disappointed me greatly. If you are a die hard ride enthusiast yes, CP is probably the better park, but for me even though I am a huge ride person, I just prefer KI and they have my favorite coaster of all time, imo you cannot best The Beast.
  4. Curious for tomorrow, we are expecting it to be busy and if it's too hot we will go to the waterpark, I just don't want to sit home, we did our grilling today.
  5. Have to agree with you there. We went last week even though we did ride it during passholder preview night, but that was only one ride, so we had to go back. It blows every other coaster I've ridden away. But with that being said, I honestly feel that KI is the better park, friendlier staff and just an all around better vibe. CP has always been my favorite for their coasters and I grew up in Detroit and went every year, but now I'm in Kentucky and KI is much closer and has stolen .y heart.
  6. I so understand Joshua. I was diagnosed in October and I was determined I would not be like my mom having to give myself insulin every day. I am a picky drinker, have hated water since I was a baby which does cause some issues, I mainly used to drink soda. Thankfully I have drank diet Coke since my 20s but any other soda regular. Last year my drink of choice was peach fanta but since October I've not touched it, only drinking diet Coke. I'm on quite a bit of medication that makes me have a really dry mouth and soda wasnt cutting it so I tried the Dasani flavored water and to my surprise I loved it! I only had the one small glass cause I thought it had sugar, that is until I looked it up and I was so excited that it was sugar free. The freestyle machines just offer so many more options, I do drink some diet Coke while at the park but I really try to have the flavored water, it gets so frustrating! But it's not a problem at KI only, 2 weeks ago when we went to Cedar Point, it was the same thing, the savior was the one freestyle machine open was in Frontier Town which is where steel Vengeance and Maverick are and also my fav restaurant Ms. Keets, that saved me. I'm hoping now that school is out MAYBE KI will open the other machine but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.
  7. We've had hit and miss at several restaurants this season. Friday for us was bad all around, we had coney for lunch and the tri tip was awful, dry and no flavor, not anything like our previous trip. The portion sizes were extremely inconsistent, guy in front of us got huge portion of meat, I got 3 slices from the end and they were small. We did reds for dinner and that was a disaster. We both ordered salads, I had the chicken Caesar. Neither was served w dressing, no big deal but annoying. When I looked I realized it was wilted iceberg, my least favorite lettuce and not something I would order. I got a supervisor, he had no idea what I was talking about that there's a difference between romaine and iceberg, well finally got to the bottom of it, they aren't serving romaine because of the recall, makes sense but I wouldn't have ordered it. So I got a cheeseburger instead, came out completely cold, cheese never melted and the chips were also ice cold. Just bad luck as we've had great experiences at both places just not on that day.
  8. We try to go there when it's open if for no other reason than to see Teresa (she hands out the menus), she is the sweetest person ever and always tells us how much she loves her job and Kings Island.
  9. It's pretty busy 45 min wait for mystic, just a lot of school kids today.
  10. Love the shirt design. You asked what other colors we might like to see, for me I would love it in purple but I know that's only me, I'm not into the grey and black as much but I will still order one!
  11. I suck at boo blasters, only time I did well was when it stopped near the end and I kept shooting at the same 2 targets, it was pretty funny as my friend was in the middle and she couldn't get any, but usually my husband beats me by a whole lot. Lol
  12. I love how slow the train goes up the first hill sometimes. Our first experience was at Haunt which just went with the entire atmosphere. This season it sometimes does it but not all the time when we ride.
  13. My one thing is to try to meet more KIC people, I'm very shy and don't normally go up to people. We've made a couple friends that we see but I would like to meet more of you, especially since we are going to the park so often this year.
  14. I liked beast a lot during the day but last year during Haunt was my first night ride, now I'm completely addicted.
  15. Yeah she specifically said inside and with them being facades I found that hard to believe. She said something else but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was and it was something good.
  16. Did they ever have people dressed up in the fake houses around the train? A woman told her son that last night, I really didn't think that was true but until I moved to KY I hadn't been to KI since 1979.
  17. I don't even ride Flight of Fear anymore due to the small size of the cars, it's not the I'm big but they are just plain uncomfortable and don't want to feel like I'm stapled in there.
  18. We had 10 min wait and Beast was a walk on but there sure a lot of school kids here.
  19. I really hope it will be rescheduled, my husband and I were really looking forward to it. I think we are going to take our chances anyway and go to the park, it should be pretty dead with it being a weekday and bad weather reports.
  20. Thanks that's what I needed, I know where Sunoco is. I have the email but was just unsure of where to enter that parking lot at.
  21. Where exactly do I need to turn to go in? I'm not exactly sure where the employee entrance is if I'm coming off 71 north.
  22. My husband and I have been picked, I'm so excited!!!
  23. We rode Chess Tuesday and Digger was running Wednesday. I found it pretty entertaining Wed watching people running to the back only to find a huge line and the tide didn't even open til about 1030. I found that around 5p the waits go down to about an hour. We were in line for Beast during ERT and it was funny listening to this group that said in 2 days they got 1 ride, we got 4 and could have gotten more but wanted to do other things.
  24. I honestly don't know, he's 6'2" and right now weighs 240, he has a big frame but most of his weight is in his belly. Not sure how much this helps but hope it does.
  25. I do as well. I love coney but Ms Keets at CP is to die for w their brisket.
