  1. I also love that it's a combination of mazes and rides. Some of the best rides are during haunt due obviously to the darkness. I'm happy that I have a season pass and can go every night of haunt if I wanted to. The houses are ok, not really that scary except maybe blackout but they are still fun. I really love all the fog the park uses, just really goes so well with the entire atmosphere.
  2. I'm sorry but I really disagree, I absolutely love Haunt and was blown away last year. I had thought Halloweekends at CP would surpass KI, but I feel ki blows them away. I personally am glad they took the skeleton key rooms out. We have a very limited budget and never could afford fright lane and seeing people get to see different things than I could just because they have more money just really bothered me. I know I'm the minority on this topic but it always just made me feel like I was missing out.
  3. I am so excited!!!! I just reserved a room the other day at the Golden Lamb just to do something and now we have a reason to stay up there!!!
  4. Hopefully someone else can chime in, I'm not really sure. I can say that KI ride ops really try everything &) get you in the seats, if you were going to Cedar Point, theirs are more restrictive. A lot honestly depends on how your weight is distributed. There will either be a test seat or if there isn't you can go up the exit and ask a ride ops to see if you can fit without having to wait in line and being turned away.
  5. As others have said, it really depends on the individual body. My husband is 6'2" and 245, he has at times had trouble on Drop Tower and fof is tight due more to his height than weight. Banshee in row 4 is for bigger people and that would probably be the one I would try.
  6. That was the final show, I forgot all about that, they did so many small/funny changes, it's was really entertaining. Edit: Something I thought was pretty cool, during the bike act Phil was video taping them with his phone.
  7. The entire show was just different and the energy was astounding. At the beginning where Phil says about how many likes he's going to get on spacebook, instead he said oh you already know the joke. When they took selfies they were using what I assumed was his personal phone and turned around to include the audience in the photo. Keith acted super crazy when they were closing the spaceship. Phil threw a severed body part from haunt at the green alien. In the dark robot scene Phil ran at the end and the robots chased him The scene where Keith and James are tied up, Keith was in a tiny box cage and James was on the outside on top of it. Phil said the line about oh you're French. And he also said he knew what she wanted, the glass ball. Phil kissed the alien at the end and she went back in the spaceship with them. There was a bunch more I can't remember off the top of my head but maybe someone else will. I went on Haut Vol's Facebook page and there's quite an interesting line about the last show... Thank you very much for a beautiful season, see you next year for another summer of trips to Planet 6328! Does this mean what I think it means???
  8. What restaurant has those??? I must have missed it but sure sounds good.
  9. There's absolutely no difference in what park you get platinum at except if it's new you have to go to that park to process and any perks would have to be used at said park. My first year we had platinum at CP and next year we went w KI instead as it's closer.
  10. Now honestly I would be much happier with that, I could still get my egg roll and 1 entree, I don't like any of those combos.
  11. I always got orange chicken and potatoes stickers or egg roll w noodles, I do not care for any of the other entrees so my days of eating there are done.
  12. There are a lot of people that cannot put down that much cash at one time. We are on a very strict budget and doing the monthly payments is the only way we can afford our platinum passes. This will be out 3rd year, I like the cheaper monthly payment but 12 months is a long time.
  13. I got my renewal today as well, we have 2 platinum passes, all season dining and drink and 1 fun pix, first payment is $122 and then 11 payments of $57
  14. Also check with guest services when you get there, they have a program for people that have accessibility issues, I won't say a lot, but I do use it and if they didn't have it, I could never do anything rides.
  15. Absolutely no surprise here since the bikes are my favorite part.
  16. I feel the same way, I don't want to miss one show! Ive definitely choosen this over coasters and even my husband is just as crazy about the show, I wish it wasn't ending so soon.
  17. The Beast crew us always phenomenal with us, so helpful and friendly, I wish all parks/rides had their attitude.
  18. I really wish there were more freestyle machines. I used to drink nothing but diet Coke but I've now become a fan of Dasani flavored water and on these hot days that's what I want to drink, not soda. I'm diabetic so my options are very limited and it drives me crazy that the train location is never open .
  19. Has anyone seen some of the ridiculous comments the gp is making on the park's Facebook? Asking for refunds, complaining that they closed, people drove an hour to get there and they were closed, smh
  20. The one ride that seems to be the worst to fit on is Drop Tower. Im not your stature and even if their was someone, it's really all about how you fit in it, some may pull their stomach up for the coasters, where Drop Tower you really can't. I have to say that ride ops really try to get people on, I've seen it numerous times, much more than Cedar Point. If you try at the test seats that should help you some, so that your not waiting in long lines and then cannot ride. I know for sure Banshee has a row for bigger people, I want to say row 4, but I'm not positive, I'm sure others will chime in. Hope you have a lot of fun!
  21. Not that this should matter, but she looked and acted like she had money, thus justifying the behavior!
  22. Last week I saw two things that I give the employees a lot of credit for not losing it with the stupidity of some guests! These both happened on Fri: Standing in the line at security for people with no bags, this woman with her husband and 4 kids walks right in front of my husband and I and she has a fanny pack, she was told no that's a bag you have to go in the other line, she started arguing with security that someone just went thru with the same thing. People got pretty annoyed with her and told her go back in the other line. That security officer stayed so cool and calm, I was really impressed. While waiting at the handicap entrance for Diamondback they were loading and made this woman get off that had a crossover purse on. She was screaming that she rode it earlier with it, what do people not understand that those objects can be deadly if they flew off?
  23. Well I know several times my husband has said something about portion size and it's fallen on deaf ears. I dont know, for some reason the staff seem to not care and really don't want to be there. I understand food service is difficult but a smile or taking an interest in your customer goes far. I did take a pic of my sub, but because of how really bad it was I felt I needed to go to guest services. The staff that day at subway looked like they could have cared less if you were happy or not. I am not someone that just runs to GS, I am in there every visit for a personal reason and I just shake my head at how people treat the staff. If I'm going there about bad food, you know there's a real problem. I guess it could also be that yesterday was our 20th visit and we've had lunch and dinner every time, so we probably are more likely to have a bad meal. I still love having the season dining plan cause I never have to worry about paying for food and it's paid off ten fold for us. I guess my biggest issue is how much they've promoted coney and it's mid July and the staff still seems to not really have their act together.
  24. My husband tried coney yet again yesterday and had a very subpar meal, very small portion of tri tip and extremely dry, which is why I won't eat here anymore. Usually it works out ok as I go across to Subway, until yesterday, for the first time my sandwich was awful, I have never seen bread like I had, it was beyond stale and just crumbled when I would take a bit. I only ate a couple bites and took it up to guest services will they could see it. While waiting to place my order there was a mother w 5 kids in front of me, with one child that was not behaving very well, he kept pushing up against the window and all of a sudden one of the window panes fell right on top of the food containers on the counter. What floored me was the mom laughed about it and let the kid again lean on the windows, I honestly couldn't believe it. As for island smokehouse, I went one time and had a horrible meal, will not be trying it again, which is a shame, as last year it was my favorite restaurant. Since this is my first full season of having platinum passes, is the food situation this bad every year?
