  1. WCPO is full of idiots. My opinion anyway.
  2. Monday was the dreaded Bring a Friend Free day.
  3. What two???? Leanne Rymes* is the only one that was probably booked after the take over. That Aly & AJ concert was booked over a month and a half ago.
  4. I've ridden it 4 times in one hour before.
  5. You guys aren't thinking crazy enough, what about a LIM launched woodie?
  6. Yes, in order to use that water park, you do need to be staying at the resort, but gamesguy, yeah I think it will help a small bit with business at BB, prob not noticeable though.
  7. Where'd you think they got the new wood for SOB???
  8. Exactly, are they suppose to be open 24/7 365 so the pass holders can get processed???
  9. The park's finally open, get over it. Why's every Topic have to go negitive. Everyone should be happy the park is open. Come, enjoy it. It's a fun and exciting place to visit. Instead of telling people about the good things, everyone's doing nothing but dogging the park. Things change for better or worse. Get over it.
  10. We've been letting people use the bathroom before metal detection opens, for at least the past 2 seasons, even when we opened the gates at 9. I'm not saying that did or didn't happend, but I assure you, if you need to use the bathrooms, ask.
  11. Harvest, I've seen that avatar proabably 50 times or so.......makes me laugh every time.
  12. Depends on what Tuesday, to the best of my knowledge the only time they are processing passes is when the park is open, so if it is a Tuesday, it would have to be in late May. Pass processing shouldn't be too bad, last couple operating days, the line was usually short, would have a few surges where they would get backed up, but normally shrank down fairly quickly.
  13. 1 If I'm not mistaken RZ, I don't believe I said anything about being let in the park, I was mearly saying that the bathrooms are there if you need them, ask. I didn't say anything about going in the park. 2 Admissions is not a part of the security department, they only report to the same person. They are both still 2 completely different things. And 3, No, security still has to listen to management. Until we get ok's from above, operations stay the same. It's only the beginning of the season, and believe me, we the workers are trying to get used to the changes as well as the guests, but right now we have to do what we are told, make suggestions along the way, and maybe things will get better.
  14. P.S. The Admissions department has nothing to do with when the park opens, it's up to Park management. Pretty much all the admissions department does is, sell you your ticket/pass, process passes, take money for parking, will-call, and scan your passes. Come on people, check your facts before you blast.
  15. Stop making sense! The marketing department has no time for things that make sense, are logical or are customer friendly. Jeesh! I'd figure you "fair weather" Kings Island fans would get your facts straight before complaining. There are bathrooms after you go through metal detection and before the turnstiles. You don't even need a ticket to use the bathrooms. And if you need to use the bathroom before metal detection opens, ask security if you can use it, they will take you through the detectors.
  16. I think it will be re-themed. The whole space/alien thing is starting to get old. A face lift or retheme would be a nice cure.
  17. It's great to hear that there are some people who think we did a great job this weekend. If someone is doing a great job, tell us. It really makes us feel good for the rest of the day. Positive comments go along way. If you think we did an exceptional job, please tell guest relations.
  18. Did everybody see that PKI already is selling Winterfest tickets?? $9.99, guess they finally relized that $22+ was way too much. It was in the e-mail news letter.
  19. No. Also the park won't be open until midnight at all this summer, even 4th of July unless the operation hours get changed. Low turnout for job fairs due to low budget for recruiting. Cutting costs is going to run PKI into the ground this year.
  20. Well, I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but the park keeps tons of stuff that they will never use again, or even be able to. Back by PKIU earlier this year, (not sure if it is still there or not), they still had the Tomb Raider sign from the original display in front of the fountains when it was just a preview. It's probably going to also hold the IT:ST sign when they are finished.
  21. Well, the only attractions you will be able to see, will be the haunted houses and other mazes. Rides will not be operational. The first dry run day for the park, was for the full park and all rides the rides were running. So because of that, I would not expect the park to be that crowded.
  22. I just read all of the rankings listed on the Golden Ticket awards. First, I must congradulate PKI for once again having the #1 Kids area. But maybe it's time to start focusing on the older guests. While we do have 2 of the top 50 wooden rollercoasters (Beast-7, Son of Beast-36), we don't have any steel top 50's. Furthermore, there are only 2 coasters in the top 50 for steel that are at Paramount parks. Now for a corperation as big as Paramount, they should be embarrassed for bearly being on the list. Flight of Fear did managed to take 4th in the catagory of best indoor coaster, so at least we are getting some representation in different categories. Hopefully IJST will be on the list next year.
  23. how do they enforce that rule at carowinds? i wouldn't see how they could. unless they were to check the scan out times from post 3 there would be no way.
  24. I've noticed in other topics about how the Beverly Hills Cop poster in AZ has coaster tracks on it now, and how they might be a B&M coaster. Has any one else seen anything else out of the ordinary(any other possible "hints")?
