  1. Cedar Point doesn't say they have more coasters then any other park. hey generally use slogans along the line of the most roller coasters at a park, but just doesn't mention that SFMM also does. I also agree that PKI should be on this list. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does paramounts really have a flagship park? King's Dominion seems to have just as good a coaster collection, just better steelies.
  2. Okay thanks. I will probably go next tuesday or wednesday, but one more question. If I go on tuesdays for double rides will they let the person who's on with me stay and ride again even if I'm the only one with the gold pass?
  3. Can anyone answer my question? Do you get to use it unlimited all day or what?
  4. 1. Son of Beast 2. Beast 3. Flight of Fear 4. Vortex 5. Drop Zone
  5. I have also noticed this. I think King's Island should imply and strictly enforce rules for PDA.
  6. Screamin' Demon was not sold to a park in Virginia. It was sold to Camden Park in West Virginia, near Huntington. It is not SBNO because of the parks "crappy" as you call it maintenance. It is SBNO because it needs a new computer chip the park cannot afford. The park is in bad shape and will soon close if there is not more revenue made, and yes the Screamin' Demon (now Thunderbolt Express) will soon be disposed of when there is enough money to do so.
  7. Well I plan to go to college to become an engineer and design roller coasters. In the design phase there is usually three types of engineers involved. The structural engineer is the one who designs the track and supports. The mechanical engineer will design vehicles and restraints along with some work in the safety systems design. The electrical engineer is the one who designs all of the electrical systems and safety features, like brakes, blocking ect. I plan to become a structural engineer and do track and support layouts. I'm also getting a minor in architecture, in case the coaster thing doesn't work out.
  8. Can someone clear up the walk on wednesdays for me? Do you get to use the ticket for the whole day unlimited rides?
  9. I haven't been on SD200, but I could only guess to say that Millennium Force is better. I mean come on I would much rather be on a smooth Intamin that is basically the same height (1 foot not 8, but 1 its only 311 feet when officially measured) and same speed (2MPH), with an 80 degree drop angle, then a Morgan wit a simliar layout to magnum (just replace the pretzel with the two inclines).
  10. Whoa! Okay for face/Off to even be compared to Millennium Force is obscure. Are we a little jealous here? Millennium Force is the best roller coaster in the world because: 1. 300 foot drop at an 80 degree angle. 2. Can you say bye bye to your little tummy. 3. Two GREAT floater airtime hills. 4. One great ejector air hill. 5. Smooth as glass. 6. 3 great overbanks. 7. So much positive g's people black out frequenlty. 8. Doesn't loose speed. 9. No Trims (Beast cough cough) 10. Because almost every enthusiast, GP member, and the golden tickets SAY SO!!!! Not to mention almost every other poll.
  11. It is the best mine train in the country, as most would agree, however is there a good Mine Train? I'd say no, but I'm a thrill junkie, they're great for kids and families.
  12. No I was just going with the joke. I catually think the food is very close. I love Cedar Point's fries and elephant ears, while its hard to beat PKI's Skyline and Subway.
  13. Okay I must be the Cedar Point genius here let's get all straightened out. Top Thrill Dragters is the tallest and fastest coaster in the entire universe at 420 feet and a 120 MPH launch in less then 4 seconds and the hill is 90 degrees. Millennium Force was not the second tallest and fastest a few years ago but the tallest and fastest at 310 feet and 93 MPH, it is also the best ( in almost every poll including golden ticket) roller coaster in the world, and currently the 3rd tellest and 4th fastest (not including Superman at SFMM). Cedar Point does have the most coasters at 16, but also has 53 other rides, with not one but two kids sections, one of which being very new and modern. A park does not get the award for best amusement park for 5 years in a row for just coasters ladies and gentlemen, Cedar Point is your average park on steriods. Every thing there is bigger, better, faster, more thrilling, and more diverse, while still having great mild roller coasters, rides, and family attractions. So any more questions on the Point? Now Back on topic, I would take out Face/Off and replace it with a full B&M inverted coaster elsewhere in the park. After riding Alpengeist, Raptor, and Batman, the coaster does nothing for me, and the capacity is horrendous. Edit: Millennium Force would not fit where Top Gun is, It is only 805 feet shorter then The Beast, with just as big of a footprint.
  14. Hey Hey Hey no need to bash Cedar Point now. Any ways SFKK is closer, so compete with them. Italian Chef do you work at PKI now?
  15. I would take the trims off of The Beast and ride it untill I passed out. I would make them actually race The Racer, hence the name Racer. Last but not Least I would make it to where you couldn't go more then 100 yards without finding a diping dots stand mmmmm.....
