  1. Hilarious the park blocks people from their Facebook and Twitter/X social media pages for no real big reason, then asks for these same people to vote for them when it comes to Holiday events and Best Park. They haven't gotten any higher than 4 I believe, and doubt they'll get any higher than that. People have long memories and won't forget.
  2. Here is this also, Universal thinking about buying Warner Bros? I wonder how this will affect the IP’s that SIX/CF can use, and what would happen if they did buy WB. https://insidethemagic.net/2023/10/universal-reportedly-eyes-purchase-of-rival-studio-warner-bros-jnw1mmb/
  3. I am worried about how big the company is and if they can run it like CF has been, this is more than doubling the parks they have, SF comes with a lot of baggage, will the SF parks drag down the whole company? I hope not, but they have bunch of work to do to bring all of those parks up to CF's standards. One good thing is SF has Hanna-Barbara so CF can use them at KI again, and we can see some of the characters we used to see in the park again, I don't want to see any DC stuff! I think the golden opportunity was when SEAS offered to merge, I wish CF and SEAS came to an agreement, both companies are doing good and it would make them stronger, SF is not doing so good, and their brand is not known for good quality. I hope CF knows what they're doing.
  4. Wow I hope this does not happen. I am for HFE buying KI also or SEAS and CF merging but not for this at all.
  5. I think the KI Theater is kind of in the way for guests to have an easy time with getting over to the Invertigo and Congo Falls area, if it was in another part of Action Zone, where Timberwolf is, then they'd venture over there more. If they ever wanted to remove Timberwolf and build a new KI Theater in that spot, that would free up a lot of land, and could build a new coaster there when Invertigo is retired and maybe retire Congo Falls to use that area also for the new coaster. I doubt this'll happen but it's an idea how fix guests flowing into Action Zone better.
  6. Looks like the webcam for International Street isn't working, so it must be a sign of the park getting prepared for opening day of Winterfest! Can't wait!
  7. Looks like the job is still up, hope we get someone just as good as Don was at it.
  8. Yeah, I saw it, I think KI would want and have enough time to get everything done, but this might be right. if Snoopy's Soap Box Racers don't open on opening day, I can see it opening right after Good Gravy opens.
  9. I think Camp Snoopy will be done by opening day, they started this month so they have till April, 6 months working on it should be enough to get it done. 1. Would be nice to see a new changing/restroom building near the Tidal Wave Bay area. 2. New pavers under and around the Eiffel Tower. 3. Add some LED lights on the Log Flumes drop, it used to have lights, and this would look great at night! 4. This is not for 2024 but in the future build a new hotel next to Soak City, like what CF did with Carowinds. The park would make more money with it and could get nice views of SC and KI at night from upper floors.
  10. It would be great to see another log flume added to Rivertown, bringing back some of its history with KCKC that used to be in the area.
  11. Hopefully Grand Carnivale is returning, I haven't seen it yet and was planning to go next year to check it out.
  12. Same here, Coney Mall received pavers in 2011, so hope they have plans to remove the blacktop for pavers in the next few years.
  13. Fox19 says that construction for the new Camp Snoopy will begin this fall, hope they are right! Kings Island to expand kids’ area including new roller coaster (fox19.com)
  14. Per the new press release today, Grand Carnivale is coming back to a number of parks, and Frontier Festival is coming back to Cedar Point, so that is good news! https://www.cedarfair.com/news?page=1
  15. As of 8/10/2023 | 3:35 PM EST California’s Great America- Canada’s Wonderland- Moosehorn Falls Carowinds- Cedar Point- Top Thrill 2 Dorney Park- Iron Menace Kings Dominion- Kings Island- Camp Snoopy Knott’s- Michigan’s Adventure- Valleyfair- World’s of Fun-
  16. That little boat with the water and what looks like Snoopy in the theatre, looks like a nice touch, it adds to the atmosphere of the new area. Good job KI!
  17. From one of the videos, we can see a Camp Snoopy sign what looks to be near the Surf Dog coaster, so Camp Snoopy might be a small new area instead taking over all of Planet Snoopy as I thought.
  18. This will be very nice! My guess is they are changing over to Camp Snoopy and Planet Snoopy is going away. I wonder how close the votes have been to Dollywood's compared to KI's kids' areas in the past, they might have a chance with this at retaking the award.
  19. Edit: didn't see there was another page.
  20. Doesn't say anything about being a pass holder survey. Someone else said there was a survey on one of the Youtube coaster channels I watch about a month ago, so that probably is the same one, they said there was a question about adding a new event, so that would be neat! I'll watch my email more closely to try and take part in the next one.
  21. Did anyone take part in the survey they sent out Monday? I just saw it today, and they filled their quota so it’s closed now.
  22. Here’s the latest news about what’s happening. https://local12.com/news/local/weve-got-a-couple-aces-up-our-sleeve-tri-state-continues-to-fight-for-western-southern-open-beemok-capital-charlotte-mason-tennis-tournament-cincinnati-ohio Ohio finalizes 22.5 M for Western and Southern Open. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2023/07/10/ohio-western-southern-open-funding.html
  23. I don’t think it’s Chad that’s the problem, Disney, Universal and others are having trouble too with attendance, so it’s not just KI or Cedar Fair, I think it’s the weather, wildfires and rude guests/chaperone policy. I’ve read the last few days that Knotts has been packed, so hopefully things are returning to normal there. Anyone remember how the park was during the 2008 recession, how they cut anything back during it?
  24. I went this pass Monday and the park had a good crowd, but I wouldn’t call it busy, and seen a few posts from Facebook today saying it’s a slow day, so hopefully the park gets more busy as the season goes on.
