How much do you think Fast Lane Plus will go up in price next year?

Will they bump a ride from the FLP lineup for the new coaster or just add this one in?

I'm all up for themeing, but I hope the execution is better then what Mystic Timbers promised.

I thought Mystic Timbers executed it's theming quite well, actually. Walking up to the queue for the first time I was genuinely impressed because Kings Island has not tried theming of that level since Tomb Raider, and for a regional park they really did what they had to do. I just hope 2020 can take notes from what it did right.

  3. Do you guys think they'll try to theme the queue for the coaster in a similar way as they did for Mystic Timbers or do you think we'll see bare minimum theming like Banshee or none at all like Diamondback?

  4. If Boo Blasters had been properly maintained it would not be in the state of ire it is in now. At this point Kings Island can leave it as it is, renovate it, or replace it. Had you asked me a couple of years ago I would have said they would leave it no doubt, but with the current trend of renovations in the park I am slightly more hopeful that they will do something with it.

  5. As someone who got a season pass for the first time in 5 years, I am actually very pleasantly surprised with the general improvements around the park. It feels so much better to just walk around again even though the area around Flight of Fear has seen better days at the moment, but hopefully the new ride will give incentive to spruce up that area as well.

  6. I have only been on Banshee, Raptor and the now defunct Dueling Dragons at Universal Orlando. I happened to like Dueling Dragons better as Banshee ended up giving me a headache so bad that I had to sit down and drink water so I could continue on in the park.

    Ranking:

    1. Dueling Dragons

    2. Raptor

    3. Banshee

  7. Personally I am more excited for WinterFest, just because I love the time around Christmas so much and I will definitely enjoy the lights and hopefully snow this year! Haunt has always been a little too much for me, but I might go this year just to ride the rides again!

  8. I think all The Beast needs is a new train to be a 10/10, as it's currently at about a 9.5/10 for me because of how awkward the dividers in the middle are. If they can fix the trains, I think the ride would be almost perfect.

  9. I think the most we will probably get is a flat or two. Where they would put it, I don't really know. Maybe taking out Dinosaurs Alive and expanding X-Base or Coney Mall. I would love something similar to how they fixed up Candy Apple Grove at KD.

  10. Yesterday was my yearly trip to King's Island, and it was also my birthday. It turned out to be the absolute perfect day to go, and had almost a perfect day with no real hiccups. The day began at around 10:30 AM and my group and I went to the Mystic Timbers lockers then went straight to the ride. The wait was around 10 minutes, which was MUCH shorter than I expected it to be. I was seated in the back row and had an amazing ride experience. As my first ride on Mystic Timbers, it was an amazing ride and one of my favorites in the park! Then I was able to almost walk on to Diamondback, and sat in the back car of that aswell. The other highlights of my day included riding Flight of Fear for the first time. It was alot more enjoyable than expected, but it did give me a headache on repeat rides. An oddity I experienced was the fact that Banshee was alot more shaky than remembered. It unexpectedly gave me a headache after riding so bad that I had to sit down for almost half an hour. Is that something anyone else has encountered?

I ate my meal at KI at the Reds Resteraunt and split a 12 piece boneless wings, which at $12.99 was alot cheaper than I expected and it was of better quality than other food I had seen in the rest of the park. I did end up biting the bullet aswell and buying the Souvenir Drink Cup and definitely used the refill stations more than twice! I also bought a Mystic Timbers sweatshirt that was only $29.99 which was quite a deal considering where I was buying it!

Overall a very fun trip, and I was extremely glad I went.

    Ride Count:
    Diamondback - 5
    Flight of Fear - 3
    Mystic Timbers - 2
    The Beast - 2
    Banshee - 2
    Backlot Stunt Coaster - 1
    Racer - 1
    The Bat - 1
    Delirium - 1
    Adventure Express - 1

I must admit, it seems as though Kings Island has well-invested in the revitalization of the Rivertown area for the last couple of years; adding new games, modern food stands such as Soccer Challenge and Rivertown Funnel Cake and now a new attraction, Mystic Timbers. The new Coca-Cola refresh station is part of the new food and beverage select options for 2017, and let's not forget about the Tom and Chee food stand which is also new this year and is expected to greet famished guests on April 15.

The focus on Rivertown has really added so much to the park, in terms of atmosphere and it's a really good sign that we might see similar things coming to other areas of the park.

Hmm. Interesting, well.....the mid-course tunnel mystically seems to be complete, it looks rather interesting to say the least. The mid-course tunnel can be seen in the link provided below.

The tunnel seems shorter than it seemed it would be in the Rendered POVs, maybe they still have a little more to add to it??

I went in 2014 on Easter which was also opening weekend with Banshee. Crowds were actually pretty low so I would expect similar. As Malem said many people have plans with family and stuff on Easter for the holiday so helps keep the crowds down.

Easter sunday is always a great day to go, because most people forget that the park is open that day or are busy spending time with families. Always the best day to go and see the new additions to the park!
