  1. I don't think it should be enforced very strongly. It's OK for an employee to ask someone to pull up their pants every once in awhile, but I don't think it should be as serious as to get any punishments.
  2. What added effects are you talking about? The only thing I heard about was the signs?
  3. That's possible because of the survey, but I think you need to read screamscape a little more closely. For PGA it says: 2005 - Rumor - (4/2/04) While I was busy taking a guess last time about PGA being the only park without a Scooby Doo dark ride, our latest rumor leapfrogs that need into something even better. Our source tells us that PGA may become home to a heavily themed coaster ride, possible one of the two ideas shown in that Paramount Survey a few months ago (Italian Job & The Addams Family). In an interesting way, this ride could fit PGA’s need for both a dark ride and a new roller coaster all in one. (3/31/04) As much as PGA needs a new coaster in ‘05 to replace the two they lost last year (Tidal Wave & Stealth), I think the odds on favorite for a new ride may be the addition of a Scooby Doo dark ride. PGA is the last park in the entire chain to not have one with PCW getting the first one in 1999, followed by Carowinds in ‘01, PKI in 2003 and PKD in 2004. Anything is still possible at this point, but trends are often more accurate than rumors when trying to predict the future. ^In this its saying it could be either a Scooby Doo ride or the Italian Job, and it does say it's just a rumor. Screamscape has lots of rumors for every park, only some of them are accurate. Also, for PKI they don't mention an Addams Family ride anywhere... although it's quite possible.
  4. 1) Metallica 2) The Darkness 3) Godsmack But Metallica and Godsmack are both coming to US Bank Arena.. together so it doesn't matter. I doubt Timberwolf will ever truly get any HUGE bands, because it doesn't have the capacity to fill the crowds. To a big band, Riverbend or US Bank Arena would seem a better choice.
  5. By 'enthusiast' show I didn't mean enthusiasts in particular. A better word would just be "thrill seekers." Not necessarily people who are crazy for coasters, but maybe just a teenager looking for thrills. I think PKI should capitalize on atleast one "action" type show. Perhaps a Mission Impossible style thing or a stunt show in Action Zone (unlike the one they had for a short time at that water tower, maybe something with an actual place to watch it)
  6. I haven't seen any PKI shows in several years.. the last one I remember was the laser show at the Paramount Theatre. Honestly PKI's shows have been a disappointment since then and I highly doubt it will get better. I can look at the names of the shows, and just by that I can tell they suck.. Honestly I thought Pop Fusion was the worst show ever invented (I could hear it when walking by), and I don't see many people watching the shows anymore. PKI needs to stop appealing to just pop and dance people, but maybe do something cool for the enthusiasts too.
  7. The first coaster I ever rode was the Junior Gemini at Cedar Point. Those first rides are most important to being a coaster enthusiast, or being scared to death by coasters. What did you ride first?
  8. I went to PKI this past Saturday, the 11th. I got their around 6:00, and right away found the parking lot full and into the grass. My friend and I resorted to Vortex, since its wait is always fairly short. After riding that, we rode The Beast, which was to the end of the line (but no stalls were opened). Once getting off that, it was starting to get dark. We head over to Route 666, planning to get in line before it opens. However, we are soon covered in a giant mob of people following the line. It ended a short distance after the "2 hour" mark. We obviously said "forget that" We head over to Psycho Path, and find hundreds of people standing shoulder to shoulder, which turns out to be the line. We knew how far back the path led, and the line was in stalls at the front of Flight of Fear. Once again, we skipped. We headed over to Action Zone to possibly ride SoB or F/O. Delirium was far out of the line, and Face/Off was too. Passing Circus of Horrors, it was also very long. Thus we headed to The Beast for hopefully a night ride. It was far out of the line, and having just rode it, we decided "nah." After passing several friends we saw from school, we called for a ride and left the park around 9. Later that night we went to nearby Nightmare Estates, which was decent. Also, we went to another haunted house which i forget. Although these are pay attractions, they are better than most of PKI's attractions, and obviously have far shorter waits. Fearfest is merely good for hanging out, not for haunted houses. I recommend coming only if you want to talk with friends. In conclusion, FearFest was very disappointing this year to me, although PKI did its best to handle the situation. Last year, i went on a rainy day and found little waits and few people. This year, there was little walking space. I would rather pay $50, thats right, FIFTY, to have less crowds. -Murphz
  9. First of all, are you saying Delirium was a waste? Or maybe you were talking about some other ride called "delrium" not Delirium. Because King Cobra was not near as fun and did not attract near as many people as Delirium has. And, ofcourse PKI is competing with CP. Not the way you see it. They're competing in PROFITS. Kings Island isnt just a park with bragging rights who say "we have the best coasters," they can say they make a great deal of profits. They removed one old coaster, and you think they're taking them out? And, dont take offense at this reply, but PKI DOESN'T need more coasters. You should be happy PKI has as many as they do.
  10. i would like an alien/military base area a great deal. I think it would be very popular and interesting to see modern themed rides. It could be a big hit with the park.
  11. Oddly enough, i dream of PKI in the first days it was open, although i wasnt around then. I dream about the animals etc, even though i would much rather enjoy a good coaster. One time i dreamed that PKI opened a Dragster-like coaster in 2004 next to FoF. I was the first one to ride it ever And it went around the whole park and over the fountains...lol.
  12. i knock over the Indian Jones display at Paramount Story, and watch one of the trash guys put it back up, then knock it down again.
  13. I think it'd be cool if they put up some haunted theming around parts of the ride track, where you're going slow enough to notice it. Also, maybe put some props up in the lines like Delirium; which are usually longer than the other rides.
  14. Yeah that's what i was thinking. Maybe they dont want to announce it because they arent sure if it will open at a very good time next year [i.e. halfway through the year].
  15. Do you think PKI will be announcing their water resort details this weekend? It seems logical, because they said around labor day weekend. I think it may be possible they had a setback / minor problem, since their website indeed says "we plan to have all the details labor day weekend" *and yes, i know there is already an older post in General about the day of announcement, but its gotten so far off topic i thought i should start it over*
