  1. I think @dbackdreams beat you on this idea!
  2. Masks are to protect others, not you. Alternately, an N95 will help to protect the wearer, but you have to be fit tested, wear the correct style of N95 and not have facial hair. Or wear a PAPR, but I dont think they would they would let you on a ride with it on Please wear your masks properly, meaning, cover your mouth and nose with it!
  3. This is going to be an awesome addition to KI. I like that it doesn't need to have a bunch of bunny hills at the end, it maintains speed until the brake, or it appears so!
  4. Mocking? I happen to like his posts and signature line. Imitation is a form of flattery. You're pointing out his misspelling is the classy move, as well as your quotation marks. Facts are evolving rapidly about this virus. What has been accepted has been thrown out and accepted again. Anti-mask? Hardly. With the way the guidelines change, I tend to rely on years of evidenced-based practice. It's hard to believe a standard mask is going to have much of its intended purpose left because of a variety reasons after approximately 30 minutes of constant wear. I've made it abundantly clear that masks contain sputum and saliva that could contain the virus. Nowhere have I postulated strange government control theories, excess CO2 inhalation or low oxygen levels in mask wearers. In fact I have advocated that people should wear masks, even if they doubt the effectiveness, out of a spirit of selflessness. You must have me confused with someone else. So much for the kindler, gentler Ding Dong.
  5. The difference is that @IndyGuy4KI stated his thought as his opinion not as fact. Another poster stated his viewpoint as a fact, inferring he is an expert on the subject. There is a big difference. It's the tallest longest fastest meanest difference ever to strike KIC.
  6. My bad, I forgot that after you left your job at KI you became an expert on global pandemics, how to end them and prevent them for the future! Oh and drones too!
  7. So are you advocating that Kings Island should remain closed?
  8. I guess, but just last week you were bemoaning and graphing the spiral of death and destruction in Warren Co Ohio, home to Kings Island the Fun and Only.
  9. Wow, the infection rate just shot up in White Co after the park was open for just a few hours! Everybody run and hide! @gforce1994, you are certainly an enigma. You want what is in the best interest of KI when it comes to drones, but your fear of coronavirus posts may cause people to avoid going to KI and spending money.
  10. Disney will do what is best for the bottom line and shareholders. If they believe the current climate will accumulate more cash flow in tangible and intangible ways, they will change it. If not, they won't. The feelings of what is right and wrong will not motivate any change, but they will use those feelings to bring in more cash.
  11. I always thought that the rattle on Diamondback was because of the wheels, not the track. I definitely notice in my nether regions when I am on a train with a bad rattle on Diamondback. Banshee has this shake/rattle than can be annoying, but I don't ride Banshee but once or twice a visit.
  12. As one of the kids of the 80's, I remember that commercial very well. My parents would not let me ride The Bat because rumors swirled that somebody died on it, same with King Kobra. When The Beast commercial came on in 1979, I remember being scared by it. I would sneak out of bed and watch TV and would freak out and run and sleep under my parent's bed. I had matured by the time The Bat commercial came on and had ridden The Beast, so no more night terror for me!
  13. My neck gaiter, with the nose covered properly, does not fog my glasses. Unfortunately, I cannot wear this at work.
  14. KIC users worried about how KI is going to pull off things: KIC users after seeing @Waltny video and @KIghostguy photo:
  15. It's some vast anti drone conspiracy!
  16. My understanding is that asymptomatic carriers are oblivious to the effects of the virus. So a cough or a sneeze would go unnoticed. And if you think about it, most people cough or sneeze several times a day before Rona showed up. I have a friend who was just diagnosed with COVID 19. She is in her 50's. Generally healthy, no pre-existing issues except standard obesity. She swore she had a false positive because she just feels like she is having allergies. But she had the test done three times. Positive each time.
  17. I doubt that is grass. That is the ravine, so it likely is moist, so weeds will grow in there pretty quickly. It would be rather pointless to hydroseed at this point in the growing season, they might wait until fall.
  18. @gforce1994 is going to ask that this is removed because KI has asked that we not discuss drones here. It never mentioned if drones were authorized or not.
  19. The "free" was promoted by the park for new passholders. For renewing passholders you got a Fastlane or something. When you buy a pass or a ticket, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the contract. It was sold as a 2020 pass. The pandemic and government restrictions are out of control of the park. I think it sucks that your visits will be limited, but buyer beware. It's an inherent risk in pre purchasing anything.
  20. If you were a new passholder as of the Orion announcement last July, you got "free visits" in 2019. You can go in 2020 according to the conditions they have set forth, and 2021 is a wildcard. For the value, there is nothing better than a gold or platinum pass. Nobody saw this coming, so I think talking about not getting one's money worth is a little premature right now.
  21. At this point, the people who know are less than would probably fit into the Kings Island Theatre. The awesome gifts you have given us from the parking lot over the winter (note, drones were not amongst them, before anybody gets worked up!) more than make up for a wrong conjecture on your part. You provide a valuable service for those of us from afar. Thank you!
  22. Has he started another drone war or coaster that never was series?
  23. When I first ride a coaster, I generally sit toward the front or middle. Least scary seats. But once I am comfortable, I get more brave. I think that the back row right side is going to be gold.
