  1. It is a good thing that many of them have been removed. The emerald ash borer has decimated the native population. If the snags were left, people would get hurt.
  2. Watch out boy, she'll chew you up. She's a man-eater.
  3. @IndyGuy4KI, can this topic get closed because the situation has resolved?
  4. It is near the entrance to Thunder Run, the Merry go Round and Roller Skater. I think the area was originally known as the Belgiian or Bavarian Village. Being that it is still there, nothing has replaced it.

  6. Meh. I don't know how else to avoid a one word post.
  7. Look at that beautiful curve in the drop!
  8. ^ I agree in principle. I'd like to see Snoopy in Festhaus and Tinkers in the KI Theater. From memory, I think they can't do the IS because the slope of the walkways and concerns for water/ice. I think KI is in it for the long term with WinterFest, so I think long term, they may look more buildings with climate control.
  9. International Street had grunge rock music. I heard no scary sound effects or scores there. I think AZ was the same, but I didn't spend much time at all there. The area formerly known as Coney Mall had upbeat pop/rock music. The rest of the park had rock lite with some nice sound effects thrown in. I wish I had seen the girl looking for her baby doll, I saw a video of it and it was creeeeepy.
  10. I'm 6'3" and 245. I have successfully done DT 4 times, WOS 2 times. The times I have been successful, my shoulders have killed me after (I have bilateral frozen shoulders). Seat 22 is the only one that will work for me...The Drop Towers at Kentucky Kingdom and Dollywood are much more accommodating and comfortable. In my opinion, KK's is absolutely, terrifyingly fun.
  11. The restrooms were in great shape for Haunt last weekend. The only issue was in the Rivertown restroom, where there was no water (I think it was Sunday night, but I can't remember!)
  12. Mystic is to Wood Shed #2, The Beast is down to Beast Containment Area#2. Vortex is showing a 90 minute wait Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
  13. He wasn't banned over photos. It was an issue with another member that was resolved between the two of them. Now he is back and the other member isn't. That speaks volumes.
  14. Does anyone here remember if the park cut the power to the tower in order to transform it to a 314' Christmas tree in '18 or '17?
  15. ^^Most sinkholes happen suddenly. If something like that were to happen under Vortex, it would be catastrophic. The Beast and Racer would have to be undergo some serious analysis as well and would likely be closed for an extended time period. And the serious structural integrity theory: If the ride was dangerous, the park should have closed it immediately instead of keeping it running on the weekends. Think of the liability if something were to happen on one of these last days.
  16. What are you asking Six Flags to do, @Hawaiian Coasters 325?
  17. I personally like the easier one. I ordered Skyline packets from Amazon, but Kroger sells them there. I double the recipe so I can freeze the chili. Basically, it's one packet of chili mix, so many cups of water, so many cans of tomato paste and 1 lb ground beef. You mix the water, packet and tomato paste and when it comes to a boil, add raw hamburger. As the meat boils, break it into very small pieces. I don't boil the meat-I brown it beforehand. The you can experiment with other things like I said in my OP. @malem posted the complicated recipe a few years ago. It was very good, but the packets are so much easier.
  18. @sixohdieselrage, the easy one or the hard one?
  19. I've only had 5 Cincinatti-style chilis: Skyline, Blue Ash, Gold Star, my own made at home, and the canned "Cincinnati chili" from Kroger. My favorite is my own, because I can tailor is to my needs. I've made it with beef, buffalo, turkey and chicken. I've added whole ghost peppers while it is cooking. I've tried different pastas. Next is Skyline, then Gold Star, then Blue Ash. The generic Cincinnati chili from Kroger is really good, but I'd rather make my own. Whoever Skyline uses to make their retail products makes it too, because the contact information is the same--or Skyline itself makes it and sells is as the generic version.
  20. I'm going Friday. I'm looking forward to it, and I thank you for the information!
  21. I haven't been to the park since August (I work weekends), and I haven't paid much attention to the D-Back webcam. But it looks like there is a new building back by The Beast/Slaughterhouse. It looks too small to be Slaughterhouse and is yellow/plywood color. Am I crazy?
  22. They certainly took some artistic license, didn't they?
