  1. I'm fairly experienced with sewing but I don't find adding a zipper a simple thing. I haven't bothered to do it with any of my cargos because it is such a pain in the butt.
Maybe a tailor who is getting paid, but I wouldn't suggest asking a family member who just likes to sew (unless you want them to kind of hate you ;))
Since I try to keep the stuff in my pockets from being individually too small, I have never had any problem with stuff trying to escape from my two-buttoned flap pockets.

My grandmother did it lol I swear she's a sewing fairy godmother lol she did them on my dads Carhart pants because he was loosing his phone, pens etc but she worked in a dress shop for 20+ years so that's probably why she's such a wiz lol

  2. Chugh43, have you considered having someone replace the button flaps on the pockets with a zipper? If you know someone who sews or take it to a sewing shop, it's not difficult to do and usually costs little more than the cost of the zipper. I've seen this done by an experience sewer on pair of carhart cargo pants and it took her no time to attach the zippers.

  3. Also in the test run video does the lead car look like a red truck to anyone else or is that just me?

I was just thinking that! I need to watch it a few more times but it almost didn't look like a truck at all. I agree it was red though not blue

  4. I think it's time for me to find some good cargo shorts i've also seen people mention running belts as a good way to store keys, wallet etc.

I use a running belt and I love it! I can zip my phone, cash & our single car key all it and and it lays flat against my body. I can even fit some travel packets of Advil / Bonnie in it too just in case. I have no problems with it on rides Cargo short really at my style and a running belt is a great alternative. If a running belt is too small for you though I've carried small fanny pack with out any issue also and I have a friend who has a "travelers belt". It's the in between of a runners belt and fanny pack, it's for people who want to travel and conceal their money/phone etc. I've been thru the rotation though trying to find what works, bag, no bag, pockets and I find the runner belt or fanny pack with the best.

  5. Sorry, we (Tim aka coasterboysfne and myself) the staff were actually at our Dollywood event this weekend so I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.

Tim usually announces the line ups/pricing as soon as the park allows. It can be really anytime......usually he'll post what's being worked on and once park confirms what will be happening then he'll post by the time (generally) when registration opens. As far as cost that's usually out as soon as possible. There's isn't a set formula for when these things happen because it's dependent on the parks releasing information.

If you ever have any questions about CC you can always PM me.

Okay! I will remember that and it's totally fine (the wait) I understand!! I was just being curious is all no big deal! We are going to CoasterStock and we are planning to go on the Virginia Trip too. Also planning to hit up the Kentucky Kingdom meet up if we can!

I think it's more likely that it's some combination of:

    • Secrets of the shed being in view of the camera prior to installation inside the shed, or
    • The shed being open to put train cars on the tracks, thereby revealing #whatsintheshed to the camera, or
    • A routine part of preparing the website for the new mobile-friendly design.

I strongly suspect that the last of those points is a convenient cover for one of the first two. Keep in mind that they just announced the presence of the train cars 10 days ago. If we assume that they actually arrived the day they were announced (likely, knowing Don), I would think that's a little quick to go from individually wrapped train cars sitting on the ground to full trains on the track testing. But then again, I know almost nothing about the process of beginning testing on a brand new coaster, so I could be completely wrong.

Agreed, I feel like they took them down and they are trying to do multiple things during this time, trains to track, shed work, website work etc. Getting it all in one fell swoop :)

  7. Reviving this for a question about Coaster Crew! Any rough ideas about how soon before an event they announcing line ups/pricing? We are just trying to make travel plans and want to stick to our budget, but we are eager to head to Virginia with the Crew in the fall. Just curiousity and I know it's a ways away but I thought i'd ask :)

It's interesting because now even some of my classmates who are GP know about Mystic Timbers. At first it felt like only us enthusiasts knew about it, But it seems like a lot of people know about MT. Also something off-topic is my teacher said she knows a lot about coasters and KI, so I asked her how tall Diamondback is and she said it's 350 ft. All I could do is laugh, she also said Beast is a Hyper coaster. Just something I thought I should share with you.

   ......I laughing so had lol

Do they do anything special for the holiday? Like is there an Easter egg hunt or is the bunny out for pictures?

IF they are I haven't seen any announcements about it, if they are planning things like that then I assume those will be mad closer to Easter.

  10. Not a ride, but I'm hoping that Dinosaurs Alive goes soon. I was never super impressed with it and I don't think I was as big of a hit as it was expected to be. If it goes that is a nice spot of lab that could be used again for something better.

Also, it's kind of already gone, but I'd like to see something go into the old TR:TR building, finger crossed wiht the same amount of themeing as TR:TR use too.

I look forward to riding this at ERT during Coasterstock.

Same! I'm really eager to get some nightrides on that late ERT. I haveing a feeling it's going to give a great night ride, especially around that 10/11pm mark we will get with the late ERTs.
