I know part of the building is used as a theater for kids' shows (Space Beagle is in there this summer). But from my recollection, that theater space is really small -- and I don't think Boo Blasters takes up a ton of space (I could be wrong)...and it stops on the opposite end from where EV started. Not sure whether they use the rest of the building for storage or not...perhaps the track does go further than I thought.
I never rode EV in its original iteration; the first year I went to the park was the year that the Smurfs Enchanted Voyage was opened. That was my favorite ride as a child -- it delighted and terrified me (not that Gargamel was all that scary, but I always had a fear of the boats stopping and the lights shutting off).
I rode BB several times this year with my kids and was disappointed. The volume seemed extremely low at points, the blasters don't make any noise (did they ever?) and it just feels like an after-thought (although my kids loved it). I wish they'd gut it and put a special dark ride in there. Honestly, I'd take that over a giga.
To answer your question, yes the blasters made noise at one point but not for a while, probably since Scooby was here which in my opinion was much more relatable and functional. I think KIs BBoBH is the worst of all the Cedar Fair versions. I also agree I’d rather have a nice dark ride than any coaster right now.

While we are on this topic, I was just curious, What is everyone’s opinion of Gemini at Cedar Point, red or blue.

Why would you put a bunch of money into rethemeing a ride that is mostly likely at the end of its service life. Don’t get me wrong I love Adventure Express and would hate to see it go but one day sooner rather than later I can see it being removed. Maybe not though!
One ride that I would like to either see get VR or removed is The Bat. I think it has reached the end of its life in my opinion that’s some valuable space there. Sorry MDMC01

You know what’d be crazy, if Kings Island added a Space themed dark ride similar to the Buzz Lightyear ride at the Disney parks and complete the whole space theme. But nah that’ll never happen!

Hi yall, just a quick question, while at Kings Island last week, my mom asked me why there is no longer trams that take you to and from the park, as most theme parks have these for simple convenience. I told her I didnt know and they havent been around for quite a while now, so does anyone know why KI did away with these.

I see that now. Embedded version didn’t seem to have the full title. The way the tower was lit up it looked like Grand Carnivale colors so I assumed it was this week. I was actually there when it happened. I was taking shelter in the “lobby” area of the front of the Festhaus. It was so loud that I thought the Festhaus had been struck.
It was one of the loudest “booms” I’ve ever heard.

I think Mystic is the best ride in the park, but that's my opinion.
That’s what I mean, a lot of folks though, in the beginning said that it was too small or not fast enough and it turned out fine.

I'm just stating that in my opinion, people complaining about the new coaster is getting old. You don't have to agree. You can give your opinions, I can give mine.
Your right, at least we are gettin something new. Had a lot of people do the same for Mystic Timbers and it turned out pretty good I’d say.

Thank you... unfortunately the warning has been extended until 2 AM! On the other hand, I wonder what a night ride on The Beast would feel like right about now...
It felt like being pelted by bullets that I couldn’t see. Still was a memorable ride on The Beast.

Had a great time at the parade, even if the weather sucked.

It’s actually pretty impressive how long Boo blasters has lasted. It’s funny that it was rethemed every ten years, but this is going on sixteen. Unless you count what I’d call a de-theme to boo blasters as a re-theme of the ride.
Your right, Scooby Doo is already a character people recognize, not to mention that the rides main gimmick is blasting ghost. So with no Scooby, no familiar music, and also zero sound effects or functionality, Boo Blasters has run its course. It’s time for a new ride I think.

I hate to be that guy, but what on earth does CSF stand for?

I don’t know if this has previously been stated, but I noticed yesterday from the Eiffel Tower that the Firehawk trains and top of the loop is still remaining. Does anyone have an idea on why they are just laying there.

It’d just be nice to see something occupy that building, but I doubt it’ll ever be as nice as TR:TR

Great to see the park paying attention to small things like that. A perfect way to help celebrate the ride's 40th anniversary.
Agreed, with the projected big ride announcement of next season, it’s nice to see small things being reintroduced into the park.

It’s funny, even then their was typos. The general information section claims that the park is open from 10 am to 12 pm, obviously it means 12 am.

I think it’s just fun to dream, regardless if Don or the CEO of Cedar Fair hears it, it’ll probably not be a financial option, and also I don’t know how popular it would be now anyways with the general public, they will probably stick to the interactive thing.

If we got a Voyage to the Iron Reef, I might just faint.

Yeah I try to go in to Boo and look for any remnants of Phantom. I think the pics that the eyes moved when you walked past are still there behind whatever is there now.
Well it took the cars some time to come back.....I would expect the same for Phantom. We just need the reps from KI who frequent this page to take notice!
#PhantomReturns
I took these pictures of the Phantom faces a few years ago, they are still in use to this day.

Same building but the front entrance was expanded for the castle look.
The layout was the same but the cars now sometimes face different directions. A fun fact is that now right when you enter the ride area you face to the right. For PT you faxed to the left and were greeted by a ghost usher. The platform he hovered over is still there.
It’s the same cars, although modified for the blasters, however there are about half as many. They were more frequent with PT. In the last few days of operation for PT they were loading every other car, presumably to test what would be the new operations.
Yeah Bodda, I knew that, I just didn’t want to elaborate, feeling lazy tonight, ;). Also, I know the platform your referring to I took a photo of it a while ago as I remembered the cars turning left, not right. It’s hard to see but it’s still there as well.

I was not sure where to actually ask this or post about it so here it goes.
Since the park actually listens to its fans and brought back the Tique's in 2019. Is it possible to start a campaign to bring back Phantom Theater? This is literally the biggest thing I miss about KI. I would beg for them to bring this back from my knees if I could haha. This was such an amazing ride growing up. is there anyone else that would help me along my way to get the Phantom back in his rightful place? Maybe we can get KI reps to answer the question?
Help The Phantom and myself out!!! haha
Sorry to double post, yes I would love a Phantom return as well. Not to rain on your parade, but many a petition and email, letter have been offered to the park over the years about returning Phantom Theater but to no avail. I’d love it to return but I doubt it ever will, however maybe a Voyage to the Iron Reef or something along that category will be opening sooner than later. But always keep the dream alive on Phantom Theater!

I never got to ride this ride sadly but it definitely seemed beloved. It’s was where Boo Blasters currently is right?
Yes, same building, layout, and cars.

@MaestroJr Thank you for that! Sucks its used for a tree now lol
Yeah it’s always disappointing when they destroy or repurpose an old ride remnant or building.

I agree, I think they were tired of the event being scattered but didn’t think about the crowded space of Planet Snoopy.
