This is just pure speculation on my part but if they did not feel like human error was at least in part the reason for the accident then they would not close the whole park. They would just do an inspection on the rest of the rides. This long delay leads me to believe that the investigators are leaning in the direction that the ride was not operated properly.

3 times this year I have seen people with old souvenir cups that had WindSeeker on them and much larger bottles presented for refill and the cashier obliged. I was surprised by that.

. Such has been the fate of many local race tracks across the country. Motor racing at the local level has really suffered due to this.

I loved this report. Thanks for doing this! I do wish I knew how many rides I've taken on each like you posted. I think I've done 9 total Banshee rides and around 6 on Diamondback but other than that I am not quite sure.

I really just want to get a chance to know others who go to the park(s) frequently, maybe to go on some road trips with, etc. Especially since my wife is out of town until July 6th taking care of her grandmother in Washington. I also have a strong desire to make trips to other parks which she would definitely not be interested in since she doesn't like rides.

Now that I am becoming more and more of an enthusiast I have been thinking about joining one of the coaster clubs out there. I wondered what people on this forum think about the different ones and which you would recommend. Why should I pick one over another? Any suggestions are appreciated. If this is in the wrong place if a mod would move it to the appropriate board that would be great. Thanks everyone!!!

Thanks guys, I am going to try this out next time I am there. I guess it was an obvious way to be more comfortable but the last three times I've ridden it I had a passenger. The last time of which I didn't know them.

Ask Camden Park. Spider. Ironically. See also Holiday World. One park acted in time. The other....didn't. As a newbie to this world I find myself googling after almost all of your posts it seems terp. Haha. That isn't a complaint either just to make sure I didn't come across as whining.

I love this ride, mostly because of nostalgia, but also because it is fun. However, I find myself skipping it way more than I would like because I am constantly banging my knees into the front of the car. I know the cars are smaller because it is in the kids' area but I was wondering if anyone knows if any particular row is better. I know that is a long shot question and one I could find out for myself by experimenting but I hate being in pain so much of the ride. I am not that tall at 5'10" either.

Welcome to KIC! I can't add anything to what others have said other than I feel your pain about family not wanting to ride. My wife doesn't like it either so I end up riding solo more often than not.

Beast is currently down. And I am at the gate for the first car! All that waiting for nothing. Lol

Thanks for this report. I love this part of the forums. I wasn't planning on coming to the park today until reading this report. It gave me the itch to come for the third consecutive day.

I can't think of an employer that I've had that didn't have this policy. Though my current one being state employees it is considered public record. Which of course is ridiculous to me.

I did Soak City yesterday and didn't think the water was too bad. It was my first time ever going though.

I actually did change my mind and went back in. Got an after the fireworks first row Beast run in even. Definitely worth the effort. That is my absolute favorite KI experience and nothing else comes close.

I can't answer your question but will say that this ride always freaks me out. It's the only ride where I am constantly thinking about the restraints and safety systems. I've yet to ride it this year and have been to the park about ten times.

I did a day at Soak City as I had never been in that side of it. Just got to my car and was contemplating changing into dry clothes to run back in and get a few rides but the weather is looking unfavorable.

The whole thing was really cool. I wish my wife was in town because she really doesn't know much about The Beast since she doesn't ride. She would have enjoyed seeing the parts of the track that you can't see from Rivertiwn, which isn't much. Alas, she is gone for 6 weeks helping take care of her grandmother... I thought it might have been you and your husband based off of your post earlier in the thread but I didn't want to walk up and be like "hey, are you Magenta Lizard?" Then be wrong and feel awkward the whole trip. Lol The only remark Don made that I though was not correct was that he said there wasn't the water near The Beast's station since the construction of The Vortex. I can remember seeing the water there and I wasn't really old enough to remember The Vortex being built. I feel like I can remember people flipping coins into the pool below while waiting in line.

I work in collegiate athletics and you are exactly right malem. Nearly every time someone who is on a payment plan for their season tickets has their card declined along the way it is due to the fact that they the card expired in the middle of the plan or the person had to report their card stolen. Sometimes we then have a hard time contacting them to correct the situation and they get cranky with us when their tickets don't arrive prior to the season.

I think I'm gonna catch the 7:00 show tonight. Looking forward to it a great deal after seeing it with my wife on Wednesday. Flying solo tonight though as she's out of town.
