I actually don't mind if ride ops talk to me. Since I'm usually waiting in line/riding alone it is sometimes nice to chat with someone for a bit.

I struggle with this and Drop Tower because of the heights. I get extremely anxiety on both, though I have only ridden once each. I'm afraid my nephew is going to want to ride Drop Tower when he visits in July so I better get more comfortable quick. Lol

My wife and I went to the 7:00 show tonight based on the recommendations from this thread. What a great show! Thank you to everyone who spoke so highly of it. I can't wait to go again. Two thumbs up!

A love letter to the best roller coaster in the world

For a newb could you explain this comment? Thanks, I really do appreciate everyone who is helping me learn the terminology and such. Surf Dog is listed as a coaster, by some. ...including the park. Thanks for the explanation guys. I really do appreciate it. I have yet to ride that as I am waiting until a day when I bring my nephews. Haha, I always feel weird going into Planet Snoopy by myself. -
Removing Racer would be a sad day to me. I'm not sure why it would be considered honestly.

My wife is a big fan of those dozer games. She even plays one on some app for her phone. I don't get the fun of that though. Lol. They usually have a dozer game with tokens at chucky cheese when we take our nephews.

I hope it stays. Things like this I look at like Easter Eggs throughout the park.

I'm looking forward to seeing this. Do they have a show everyday or about how often? Sorry for the laziness as I know I could go to the KI website and find out...lol

Totally agree, the paint is faded badly in a number of places. The whole thing needs some work. I actually like the ride but they need to keep it looking nice.

Banshee line was about 5 minutes for me just now. Front row line was a bit longer than I'm used to though for s comparative regular line so I opted to sit in row 2.

Oh, and reading all these pages makes me wonder if Nate ever made it to Hershey... Haha

Sorry to dig up such an old thread but I just had to post. When my wife and I moved to the area last summer I had a chance to visit the park for the first time since the early-mid90s. As a young teen I loved KCKC and the King Cobra that was mentioned was my first loop I ever rode. Such nostalgia! I knew when we went to the park last summer that the Cobra was gone but I had no idea about KCKC and actively sought it out for a bit. Another piece of sadness was while getting in line for Racer I actually told my nephew how much I liked the backwards one. Getting to the station was a bit awkward. Haha Now that I have a season pass and go a few times per week and read this forum daily I am getting more like the rest of you daily though. I am hooked on the entire industry. I spent the last couple hours reading about coasters and parks bygone. RIP KCKC, King Cobra and the backwards Racer.

Yeah probably so. After the wait my train got stuck going up the first hill for a bit. Then when we came back to the station after finishing the ride there could not have been more than 2 trains left to go. Some guy waiting to board started yelling about "look at that single rider in the front row!" Lol.

Last night I was on one of those after the fireworks rides on The Beast. It was a long wait but worth the ride. Then I went over to the pass holder event and did a front row Banshee ride. When I got there the line had just started to wrap around the corner for the front car but it was getting long rapidly. I was happy that they accommodated seat requests as we have seen in other threads that it hasn't been the case quite often.

My brother in law and his kids is coming to visit us in July and we will be making a trip to the park. We will be going on a Friday, the 17th to be exact. I am thinking to ensure they can ride everything and some more than once we should do FLP. Should we buy these in advance? I know the site says they have "limited quantities" or something. I just wanted to get advice from some of the rest of the board. What would you do?
-
I took the advice on here and tried 7-1 on Vortex last night. Definitely agree that it is amazing. Nothing beats a first row night ride on The Beast though!

Maybe keep the same walkway and just re-theme it all into something else that is educational. It was nice to be able to stroll through last night for a bit of a break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the park. Plus having some shade is nice.

I really enjoy your pics from your visits. Thanks for doing this. Meanwhile I am now waiting for the front seat on The Beast for a late ride!

I went through it tonight for the first time. My wife and I enjoyed a little stroll through the woods but I also feel like the space could be better used. I definitely don't think I would pay additional money to enter it if I didn't have a gold pass.

WindSeeker is currently closed. I have never ridden it so I hope it reopens tonight.

Changes to 2015 dining plans (Update: not happening)
acfinn replied to malem's topic in Kings Island
Not to mention the park is still profiting because the food is so marked up. If I use the money I was previously going to use towards food to get a dessert then they are still makin money. -
I just walked by it as well. I was thinking about riding until I saw it shut down. I usually don't do many of the county fair type rides but was considering that one tonight.

Pulling up to the park now. Time for some fun! I'll try and post some ride times as well.
