Online Reservations NOW OPEN on KI's Website

Do any KI associates here know if or how Cedar Fair associates can make a reservation? I’m a Carowinds employee who will be going up to Cedar Point soon for several weeks to help staff the park while Carowinds is still closed, and I was hoping to stop by Kings Island on my way up there to ride Orion, but can’t seem to find a place on the app to make a reservation with my associate ID. -

Part of the reason I don’t expect Haunt mazes to happen this year is because maintaing distance from people in front of and behind you while walking through a dark maze seems hard to do, plus I don’t know how parks would be able to enforce that. -

^ That’s what I was thinking as well. I can see parks remaining open on fall weekends but Halloween mazes and attractions may be cancelled for this year. Creating Haunt mazes that respect social distancing guidelines but still give people a good scare sounds like a fairly hard task. -

I’m willing to bet we’ll have a Covid vaccine available at some point. There are over a hundred vaccine candidates in various stages of development right now, I’d hope at least one or two of them will work. -

Exactly. I am fine with wearing a mask and social distancing for for the duration of the pandemic. Once it’s over, that’s a different story. -

Arnolds Park, a small boardwalk park in northwest Iowa which had already reopened, is temporarily closing again due to rising Covid-19 case numbers in the area. I’m afraid we might also see this happen at some other parks. https://siouxcityjournal.com/news/local/arnolds-park-announces-temporary-closure-due-to-covid-19/article_ce456da2-c460-5a7c-8cbb-cc04ec8d2174.amp.html -

Noticed on the Kings Island website (and other Cedar Fair websites) that Fast Lane and Fast Lane Plus are not available for purchase right now, this includes single-day and all-season FL. I’d been wondering if something like this would happen since ride capacities will likely be significantly reduced. https://www.visitkingsisland.com/tickets-passes/fast-lane -

I don't understand the decision to exclude parks from the reopening list either. Personally, I'd be more worried about catching COVID at a movie theater or a laser tag facility than at an outdoor amusement park. -

I wonder what Dollywood’s staffing situation will look like this year. When I visited last year, I noticed a significant amount of their employees were in the elderly demographic, who are typically at higher risk of becoming seriously ill if they catch COVID. Maybe it’ll be mostly younger people working there this year? -

Source? I could still see them opening for Haunt and Winterfest if they're able to, especially Haunt since those events are huge moneymakers for parks. Then again, I don't know the exact numbers so what do I know? -

Crazy that they won’t test you after being exposed. I was able to get tested when I had just a mild fever. My results came back negative but was told I should still stay home for two weeks since those tests are not perfect. -

This is interesting. On the park hours page of every Six Flags park website, this notice has been posted: IMPORTANT: ALL VISITORS (INCLUDING PASS HOLDERS AND MEMBERS) MUST MAKE ADVANCE RESERVATIONS TO VISIT THE PARK. To meet state social distancing guidelines and ensure the health and safety of our guests, all visits to the park must be pre-scheduled using our online reservation system. Check back here for details. https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/plan-your-visit/park-operating-schedule -
