  1. Yeah, looks like all the parks actually - or at least Cedar Point, KI and Carowinds so far. All three have Terms & Conditions page that link to 2023 T&C for Gold, Platinum, Prestige and Prestige+ passes.
  2. Right. Why they didn't just name them those things is beyond me, because it would've prevented a lot of confusion.
  3. Yeah, I personally don't think it's worth it. If you're a Gold member, it's 2x the price to upgrade to the Gold version of Prestige. Same for Platinum. I think if you're the type that goes 3-4 times a week I could see the benefit, with the greater discounts, bring a friend passes and the front of the line (not Fast Lane, but front of the line - is there going to be a THIRD queue at every ride?) pass. But for the average passholder who goes maybe 3-5 times a season? I don't think it's worth paying double the price.
  4. You actually would lose benefits going from Platinum to the base Prestige. The base Prestige doesn't let you into the other parks - that's Prestige+ which is $400 (2x the price of Platinum).
  5. Is anyone else seeing this? Our platinum pass show on the KI website as expiring on September 1, 2022. We did NOT get them at Canada's Wonderland.
  6. I see Carowinds has their season Fast Lane pass for sale, but the All Park Fast Lane pass I'm not seeing on any CF website.
  7. If I have a Platinum pass and want to add on a Platinum Fast Pass to it, can that be purchased online from any CF park (when they're available)? Or does that need to be done at the "home park"?
  8. Park is absolutely empty. The few people that are here are at Orion.
  9. Yeah, we didn't get there until around 4:30, and were only there an hour. It definitely could be a thing where compliance waned later in the day, in that case.
  10. Maybe we were there at different times. Definitely had different experiences, from the sound of it, and it wasn't paranoia, for sure.
  11. We thought about doing Dorney this weekend. Glad we didn't now.
  12. Went to the park earlier. Figured even with escalating numbers, based on my last visit in early July I'd still feel great about it. Nope. Park was actually fairly busy, based on this new environment, which is good for the park. But enforcement of the covid protocols was non-existent. Diamondback queue looked exactly as if everything were normal - ZERO social distancing, everyone piled in right next to one another. I counted at least 25 people walking around with no mask on at all, and numerous employees that walked right by them without saying a word. If I had to count the number of people with masks below their nose, that number would've multiplied by 5. Going back tomorrow because we're in town anyway and because hopefully Monday + bad weather = better compliance/less people...but this was a really bad look. We ended up just eating dinner with the meal plan (yay Pub Burger) and just leaving shortly after. Zero rides.
  13. I think the fact that there's virtually zero known outbreaks at amusement parks - not just in Kings Island, but Cedar Point, Disney, etc - is a real testament to the safety precautions put in place. I think we're going back to the park on Sunday/Monday - one last hurrah before my wife has to go back to work (school) in 10 days.
  14. What were your wait times like on Tuesday?
  15. FTL, you mean. For you but more importantly for others. Not that you care.
  16. It's not masks. It's the fact that there's a pandemic.
  17. Good. Stay home. You can use the extra time to research covid-19 since you appear to know absolutely nothing about it whatsoever.
  18. Thanks for posting this. We were there twice this year (July 2-3) and I've been considering squeezing out one more trip. This made the decision for me - I won't be returning to the park during the pandemic knowing that they've relaxed the enforcement of their guidelines.
  19. My wife works with special education students at a local elementary school. My father - 62 years old - is in the school's IT department. They want to work. I think they should be working. Kids need school, etc. the problem is, despite what Fauci, the CDC, the AAP and every other expert says, there are ZERO mandates on a federal - or in many instances, even a state level - for reopening schools. The result is a hodge-podge mess of schools making their own policies, many of which fall woefully short of even the minimum CDC recommendations. As of now, our school system isn't even requiring masks...which is borderline negligence. Yes, we should reopen schools...by doing every single thing possible to keep our students and staff as safe as possible. Problem is the latter part of that statement simply isn't happening.
  20. That's certainly not the case in Indiana. it's actually significantly decreased in the last two months. To answer your other question, deaths are lagging indicators, sometimes by up to a month.
  21. Random/weird question from a first time dining plan user - is there anywhere on the website or app that tracks how many times you've used it, and where at?
