I would think it's just a matter of timing. If they are in the right position to do something big on an anniversary then they might plan it that way but won't go through much trouble/expense just because it is an anniversary.

I'm sure it can be but that doesn't mean its impossible. It might affect the early hours more and how many rides are open but the park would still probably open and there are plenty who aren't kids who could staff the park. I don't follow the school schedules much and didn't think they would be off, is there a reason behind it? I just checked Kings Islands schedule and this Friday starts the daily 10am opening on Fridays till August 19. I don't think the kids are off school every Friday in May. And who is going to staff the park? People who aren't in school. They exist, every restaurant etc around me operates fine. Then when they get busy in the evening they will be available again. Who is going to staff the park this Friday when the kids are in school?

I don't think weekdays would be affected too much as many could still go during the evening.

Some think it will be a woodie or possibly a flume ride of some sort. And there are times in various parks history where they broke their normal schedules and added coasters "early" or far more rapidly than typical. It doesn't necessarily mean we will get a new one every 3 years from now on. As an example Kings Dominion got its Flight of Fear in 1996 and Volcano in 1998. Then added Hypersonic XLC in 2001.

No its not, its just in the outer limits of the park... It actually is, the steel was moved to the "coaster graveyard" has since rusted and I'm guessing it has been removed from property. The cars were moved to Kings Dominion for parts for Shockwave...well Shockwave is no longer there. There is currently no TOGO Standup Coasters standing or in working condition (in pieces) in the United States. Sorry, I thought there were still parts of it in the FoF building. I know there were for a while.

Its being promoted the same way as the last 2 coasters that were added to the park. PR has been hinting and teasing a bit (in some peoples opinions) about a big attraction. Tree clearing around White Water Canyon is being done in a large enough area to be for a tracked ride but not clear cut enough for flats or area expansion. If so I don't follow, I didn't say anyone was in charge just a few reasons some think a new coaster may be coming. I didn't follow the links but a 4D dark ride could be coming in the future in order to utilize the Action Theater again. See the Plants vs Zombies and Mass Effect rides.

They can build less thrilling coasters, but they shouldn't add low capacity coasters.I agree 100%!!! I like some of the newer coaster concepts like the 4D Coasters from S&S and the Sky Loop from Premier but the capacity for those rides are very low compared to the likes of Banshee and Diamondback. I would like to see a full sized X2 4D coaster someday, its unlikely but it would be cool and something unique I saw a Youtube video of one of the IAAPA conventions where S&S was showing off a concept of a full train high capacity 4D coaster. I've never had any problems but then again I rarely do it (never carry much) and only get on Firehawk when the line is short.

Flight of Fear has an area for loose items, the exit goes right past it (by the kid waiting area) on the left. You can ride Flight of Fear then pick your stuff up after riding Firehawk.

Would love Kings Island to get a ride addition year like that soon. A big thrill level flat ride and a couple smaller family style flats like a teacup/Tilt-A-Whirl type ride would really help round out our flat rides selection. Would be nice if they found another Enterprise to bring back to the park. I haven't been on one but a Topscan looks cool. Medium sized flats are probably Kings Islands weakest area.

There was also a point in time where Cedar Fair didn't work with GCI.There's a first time for everything. I don't disagree just stating what I've heard. And while I would like an RMC or a rekindling with Intamin I still think chances are any new coaster is GCI or B&M related.

Neat? Yeah. Elaborate? Definitely. Awesome? Ehh...that would probably mark the end of theming for the Banshee queue when they would go to clean it up. I'm sure they could fill in a hole without too much trouble. They could add new temporary graves that are to toppled ones. But I digress.

I agree but still love the idea. On top of it all we would have another defunct roller coaster that confuses people.

Nothing screams a classic area more than a race at the Dayton 500, a spy action adventure thriller, an adventure under the sea, a tour through Dracula's castle, or a trip through time see Dinosaurs. Don't forget that portal filled with super heroes you've never heard of, and obviously don't remember

7. They could create a gigantic hole at the Son of Beast grave... The son never truly died he is making his triumphant return! Wouldn't it be awesome to enter the park one day and find the graves in disarray with that giant hole there, with giant muddy footprints painted on the paths heading back to Rivertown?

You don't have to perceive what Plants vs. Zombies is as the ride is built and open. https://www.carowinds.com/what-s-new/plants-vs-zombies - The ride seats move and you have blasters. The Mass Effect ride is still shrouded but looks to be a pure motion based ride to me.
