  1. Kings Dominion is worth a mention having a unique giga and an inverted multi launch.
  2. https://www.coaster101.com/2018/04/10/vekoma-debuts-topgun-coaster-concept/ New launch coaster from Vekoma.

  4. I think Wicked Twister could be considered filler but not MT or SV. I think its clear MT was meant to be a headline attraction.
  5. I agree a retheme would probably be the best option but I think it could stay with the same trains. Give it more of a theme like the antiques had. Repaint the trains to taxis or something, it could possibly have a bit of a cartoon theme to it.
  6. I would say Face Off was filler, certainly not Steel Vengeance though.
  7. They have Behemouth, and I would say the examples given fit in the hat. I also think the fireworks would be easy to move (they have launched them directly off the tower) and may not need to be depending on the coaster layout around them. I also think expanding xbase and attaching it to the old Dinos area wouldn't require removing the maintenance buildings. If the park needed the room they might move them but I think that would be a long time from now.
  8. I305's first turn is great but illustrates why you have to draw out the curves, tight turns will produce way too much force. I'd like more I305 type turns and twists but without the huge intensity peak I305 has.
  9. The whole video is based off of a change to the app, which in the past has had the wrong roller coasters on it. Doubt that really gives much evidence for a new slide.
  10. X2 at Magic Mountain Have to go to Japan for its clone so it still comes off as pretty unique. Wouldn't mind seeing some new ones with new layouts.
  11. They should just pick up their rides and move them someplace else!
  12. While I would love some Disney grade theming at KI I don't think its realistic to expect that. If Mystic Timbers queue was enclosed I think this forum would be full of people complaining about another big beige building. Flight of Fear gets away with it because the theme calls for a plainer looking building. And Banshee certainly has gravestones visible from the queue even in the switchbacks as well as special lighting, not to mention the coaster itself fills in as theming. I think in general Mystic Timbers level theming is about the best we can hope for.
  13. Completely disagree Loadandgo. All three Gigas I have ridden are in my top ten. Millie is far from forceless and probably has had the longest run as "best coaster" for the GP that will exist in our lifetimes. That popularity created a counter culture that likes to bemoan it. While I305 is intense it is my personal favorite and as you said Fury had enjoyed a positive reception. Only Leviathan gets mediocre reviews in my experience, I haven't ridden it so Ill reserve judgement. Cedar Fair keeps building them despite their cost which leads me to believe they disagree as well. And 20 million for TR:TR was rather expensive for a thrill ride, were talking Diamondback money here and at least 5 million more than Mystic Timbers. The fact there are so few helps make them special as well, its an experience you can't get everywhere. These big attractions give parks a focus they can use to draw in guests providing value beyond adding just another coaster.
  14. I agree but I think your assessment of Intamin is way off. They may be less safe than most manufactures but they are way safer than many things and I wouldn't call them dangerous. Beside a few notable rides most of their products seem to run fine.
  15. Then would you include people who got hit by B&M inverts? Its not really the manufacturers fault when the rules are not obeyed. Intimins record, while far from sterling, gets a lot better when human error is considered. If you drive/ride in cars you are tolerating far more risk than any Intamin. Most leasure activities are more dangerous.
  16. I've always found them to be worse on the other side of the peninsula, Millenium Force and Valravn in particular.
  17. I've been told while birding Fury325 that its the tallest in the world, only to inform them its the tallest Giga and I have been on taller.
  18. Did you quote the wrong person? Your post and article are in agreement with my posts.
  19. If too many people get in the line then it will simply take as long as the main line. If there is no more benefit people will just return to the main line. There are lots of parks that have single rider lines that don't have this problem, it probably won't happen.
  20. That doesn't change my point. A two seat ride will generally make less use of a single rider line than one with more seats since there is less combinations of groups that will leave empty seats. Having just been to Universal I've had several times I was seated with my Dad in single lines because there were two empty seats and no immediate groups of two available.
  21. As long as the single riders are only used to fill empty seats I have no problem with them. A ride like Mystic Timbers has a lot less use for this than something with more seats like Banshee.
  22. I heard the ET theme on IS the first night. Having been to Universal in the middle of November helped my memory.
  23. Agree with Joshua, why people want to change The Beast into something it isn't (or was ever) supposed to be is beyond me. It makes more sense to build a GCI than try to GCI (or RMC) The Beast. Glad KI went that route. It's still #1 to me (although I haven't been on El Toro or Boulderdash) although the Voyage is amazing as well. Hope KI decides to add a GG sometime.
