  1. Just to throw in my 2 cents. I think a Giga would best work in the DA area without removing anything, not huge on the Gigasaur name but wouldn't freak out if it was that. The other place I could kinda see it being is if they removed/moved Invertigo and congo falls and put it toward the front, I doubt they will cause 1 it would ruin the skyline and 2 it means the removal of rides that don't need to be removed. As for the mention to a multi launch I personally think either the land behind Beast or The Vortex plot would make for a great area to put in a low winding launch coaster. The one other crazy idea I would kinda love to see yet not at the same time is: AE is removed, don't crucify me yet, for a multi launch that would dip in and out of the area, after seeing Taron I would love to see even a fraction of the themeing it has to help out Oktoberfest. Plus you could easily find a good name from the german mythology if you wanna stick with that.
  2. I really feel these are gonna be the next Vekoma Boomerangs, small compact layouts that are fairly cheap compared to other rides. I didn't find Tempesto to be anything too amazing but it will certainly help SWSD out.
  3. They had mentioned this is was being proposed since Prowler beat Diamondback for best new ride of 2009, so I imagine that they were pretty set on GCI from the beginning. I'm actually pretty happy with GCI, they are great traditional wood coasters and often are much more intense then people would think just by looking at stats. Edit: https://www.instagram.com/p/BN2HEvuh4D-/?taken-by=kingsislandpr for a pic of a WWC crossing.
  4. I mean I knew GG made some intense coasters but a literal head chopper might be where I draw the line.
  5. Well they just released this https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/804055898335432709, so it looks like they are keeping a steady pace and it still looks like tons of fun.
  6. ^^ I'll agree with the first 2 drops having good floater airtime, but from the video rendering they look like small little pops on the track making me think this coaster will mostly have ejector airtime. Either way I'm gonna be happy, because every GCI I have ridden has been outstanding and usually in the top 3 of the park. Also the Lagoon crossing should offer a very cool and unique experience that most locals will not have experienced.
  7. This is a super cool angle of them placing the tallest bent today. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/789604170282205185 Much higher looking then I would think, but then I realized......it is still 109 ft tall.
  8. Not only is this gonna be flying through the woods but those small bumps for airtime are gonna feel pretty forceful imo. MT will provide a different kind of airtime that KI really doesn't have much of and for that I'm getting even more excited. Can't wait for opening day.
  9. Drone's are not allowed in KI airspace. We might want to see the construction but rules are rules and that one is very important.
  10. Looks like the bents are ready to go so we will see some raising tomorrow https://www.instagram.com/p/BLe77jbhj2Z/.
  11. When I first mentioned the large supports in the lake someone reminded me that it could be something like Raven's turn https://rcdb.com/136.htm#p=1640. But with this new support "island" I'm surprised yet again. Guess we will find out when supports start getting built out that way.
  12. ^ Thank you for the very nice pictures! Honestly surprised they are using really tall footers thought they would use a bridge like RF2.
  13. The only coasters I would wait for a front seat on are Banshee(any time) and Beast at night. I personally am always looking to get in the very back of DB for that sweet airtime and it is usually a shorter wait.
  14. ^^ You can also look at multi launches like Helix,Taron and the new 2018 coaster at Blackpool. As for MT it looks like they are starting to place the tarps and gravel around the drop, so we might see that be the next section to go up. This could also be completely wrong considering the turn after the first drop has been covered in gravel for weeks. Good to see construction start early and at a pretty constant pace.
  15. Silver this is the best still image I have seen that shows the track from the inside. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKBcTKTB_b1/?taken-by=kingsislandpr. I think you honestly have a better chance at getting a feel of the layout from the webcam.
  16. ^ Exactly GCI's don't have large swooping hills for airtime but those small humps in the track can provide great ejector airtime. Lots of POV's leave something to be desired imo, you just can't get a good feel on the intensity in one. I am gonna guess this will be my #4 in the park behind Banshee,DB, and The Beast.
  17. Brackets are on the footers for the drop, and they are starting to pour the lift footers. Great to see so much get done so quickly.
  18. I would guess higher if we are talking everything including clearing. As for the actual coaster being built I'm going to guess lower, it seems like most of the work is being focused on the visible areas, which is actually not that large compared to the rest of the coaster.
  19. Bents have indeed started to go up for the base of the lift. https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/774359834770673664
  20. They will have the next few weeks of no guests so I would imagine they get quite a bit done before haunt. But if we are correct that they will not be building the lift until that entrance to the site is no longer the best route, then it will be a while until it is very easy to see from the webcams.
  21. Just posting these because I thought it was cool seeing construction from a different angle, but Mr. Scheid posted some photos from the construction site on his twitter. https://twitter.com/KIGMGREG/status/769268495649542144 and https://twitter.com/KIGMGREG/status/769270456679555072
  22. Well looks like they are ready to start with the actual structure if we are going off this tweet https://twitter.com/KingsIslandPR/status/767735358280888321.
  23. I have heard there will be a lot of renovations to Hotels this upcoming offseason which will take a lot of money from CF, so MT might be the biggest coaster investment this year. I think my personal guess is either general renovations like repainting Racer and helping FestHaus kind of like KD did with their anniversary OR a action theater ride.
