New For 2017: Mystic Timbers!
Logan Goddard replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I certainly think this has the potential to knock Diamondback out of top 3 night rides. It will probably be 1 Beast, 2/3 Banshee and Mystic Timbers depending on the lighting/atmosphere of the ride. I also love the fact that we will be getting some ejector airtime to mix well with Diamondback. -

^^ No it is 100% wooden from what we can see. -

Also another tip, riding it right at the beginning of the season next year will give a different ride then later in the year, got to let it break in. I for one am extremely happy we are getting a new coaster, and a fun action packed GCI is a perfect fit for the park. -

Depending on the shed, it could have a dark ride portion. The airtime hills are mixed with some turns that can provide some nice laterals, it also gives a sense of speed and hovering in your seat. I would wait until you ride it to make a final decision on it. I think it will surprise quite a few of the RMC crowd. Edit: Well there were a lot of posts made between mine and the one I was responding to, so this was aimed at people comparing Racer and Mystic Timbers. -
What if we get a Beast sighting roaming around in the enchanted forest, Verbolten style?

Don't be mean. Most of us had speculation that was pretty far off from what we got. -

2 minutes....... seems like you might be spending some time in the shed, not just a quick fall. -

^^ I think the log flume is safe, it doesn't look like it would need to be removed. Also I think the logo really adds to the name. -

I'm guessing a possible Flat ride for the 2nd announcement. Also the lead car is fantastic. -

To anyone who won't renew passes......well one less person in front of me to ride it. -
I'm almost guaranteeing that is a red herring like The Bat was. Why would Don spoil it the day before?

As long as the name is unique and not copied from some other coaster I'm sure it will grow on me eventually, it also helps if the ride is good, which I trust it will be. -

That link no longer works the one posted in Don's thread is working still. -
If anyone who is right starts rubbing it in peoples face, then it would get a swift ignore from me. My guess is. GCI 100-120ft 50-60mph 3000-4000ft possibly an inversion, but it could also just be special with some tunnels and the lake interaction. Record the most wooden track for one park.

Okay well we are less then 24 hours until the announcement, so I think I'm done with this thread. Thank you to anyone who posted pictures, and all who offered constructive opinions to the discussion. -

Of what, you haven't linked to a post. Edit: Also Gavpenn is not considered credible without being consistently correct with information. -

How is a source reliable if he himself has no source! -

Then you have no source and just another post on a forum. It is simple if people don't want it to be spoiled they don't click the link. -

If something leaked it would be nice of you to include a link for people who want to see it. Also funny because a source close to GCI also "leaked" that it was being built by GCI. -

Welcome to KIC! I don't know if we will see records, but I think it will be a great ride no matter what. -
Well if it was a mythical beast the ax could be used to fend it off.

Nothing there that we know of, but that would be a pretty long que unless the station would be over there which seems unlikely. -

That was not me saying smaller coasters can't be intense, it was me making a guess as to what we could be getting. Also lets face it no "transition" coaster is going to be 130ft+ so yes I would say most transition coasters fall in that range, not that every coaster in that range is a "transition" coaster.
