  1. This will be a perfect transitioning coaster. I was 99% sure it was going to be an RMC but understand why they went with GCI. It wouldn't be right to throw another extreme coaster directly next to PS. I know that Diamondback is practically inside PS but another over the top coaster would seem a bit much. Maybe the name will grow on me(pun intended) but seems kind of "drawn out of a hat." You already know that I'll be a first rider. Looking forward to those other announcements! I also had the chance to meet a few of you, Zayzayd13 and BeautyandTheBeast to be specific. It was nice to experience tonight with fellow friends from kic.
  2. Since there are some newbies in here, I wanted to bring this up again.
  3. I guess the spaghetti bowl giga joke was for the ones who have been here since the beginning.
  4. My credibility will come with tomorrow's announcement. I certainly wasn't the first on #TEAMRMC but quickly climbed aboard right after the spaghetti bowl giga daydream. I also never shifted on my final answer.
  5. Can anyone post a few pics of the announcement area?
  6. Looking forward to all the pics of what the workers were setting up last night.
  7. Looks like the rain might let up just in time for the announcement. Don't forget to stop by your local DollarTree to pick up a rain poncho!
  8. Our team wants a new thrill. Our expectation is that KI delivers that thrill. Seems like BOTH #TEAMGCI and #TEAMRMC have the SAME goals. Peace, Love, and Coasters!
  9. I guess the teaser posts about RMC on KI snapchat mean nothing. The executives meeting with RMC last year was just to compare carpet samples. I think the big game changer that KI is known for will be the introduction of RMC to CF. I'm sure their combined force will kick off with a BANG! *Insert: Project2017*
  10. I'm sticking with RMC because of the lack of structural supports. The reservoir crossing(and the majority of the back half of the ride) doesn't have supports like a GCI. Its too narrow for traditional wooden coaster supports. Not to mention that if it were to be GCI, KI would miss out on some awesome inversions over the 6 times it crosses WWC. We are talking places where that is only 25-30 feet of space for BOTH tracks to pass over WWC. I cannot see supports similar to The Racers passing over the lake when RMC CAN build within that limited space of 25-30 feet. This whole claim that GCI said that hypothetically, possibly, and/or potentially they can make coasters with inversions holds no weight in the argument. One hand you have a coaster company that IS building incredible wooden/hybrid coasters with inversions. The other hand has a company that only says, "yeah, we can do that." Past relationships mean squat. In a world of innovation, no one would want to build something new that would disappoint. I'm not saying one is better than the other and that GCI would disappoint. They are both great companies and have their pros/cons. If this was being built in a space that wasn't this I would be all for a GCI. Given the location of this ride and its multiple interactions with WWC, it would be a disappointment to waste all those awesome opportunities to hang over top of the WWC canals. Can you imagine riding WWC with a coaster flying upside down overhead? Everyone in the cars reaching down to, figuratively, high-five the families and friends inside the WWC boats. Not to mention how it will enhance the train experience. Riding alongside this coaster is sure to entice guests. I'm also going to throw in the highly possible "top gun stall" over the reservoir. Launch or chain lift is cool with me. *RMC clues given out by KI* Something I noticed on Instagram: Somebody is following Cedar Fair parks... And now a Rocky reference... Also the tease of barrel rolls. A signature move by RMC. This, my friends, is why I'm team RMC!
  11. I think some people in here just love to annoy others. I think, maybe they are young and just don't know any better. Then I see that they are 30-40 years old and I loose my faith in humanity. Lazy trolls who don't contribute, just disagree with everyone's posts and think it's cute. I know it would take all day to read through the entire thread but at least go back a few pages and see if your question was answered before posting. *reaching for my snickers*
  12. We also have to take into consideration the fact that some people are color blind and might not even see it.
  13. In case you are just tuning in... Our hero's have noticed hidden numbers planted within the background of the countdown on KI's website. Could this be a blatant clue?? Will our new coaster hit the hyper mark?? Will our hero's survive 6 more days??? Find out on the next episode of DECODING RIVERTOWN!
  14. I'm subtracting speed to compensate for the barrel roll in the first drop, the top gun stall, and the potential other inversions.
  15. Stats Name: FENRIR Length: 3,230ft Height: 209ft Drop: 198ft Inversions: 4-5 Speed: 64 mph Duration: 2:10min Manufacturer: Rocky Mountain Construction(RMC)
  16. Whoops, didn't realize that! So many posts and suggestions that most things get forgotten about... NO WORRIES! There is a lot of posts in here so these things happen. I'm so freaking excited for the announcement!! This is going to be great!!
  17. I've also said it waaay back on the thread. I'm glad to know #FENRIR is catching on.
  18. If they have music playing in the trains, they should have a separate, more sinister version for Halloween Haunt. I still think Banshee would rock with a sound system. It rocks without it but the thought is nice.
  19. "Over the river and through the woods.." It would be cool if we get a building façade to burst through that looks like grandma's house.
  20. GREAT CATCH! That kind of confirms that it will in fact roll, dip, fly, and dive over WWC.
  21. Thriller sounds cool. I'm sure they can't use it but maybe. It would have both werewolves and zombies. They could have the song playing in the carts. Ok, I'm dropping it. Just had to get that last one out.
