  1. I Remember when I first saw it I was like how the hell did they build that thing so freaking huge. And then thought to myself this is going to be a nightmare for the park to mantain. But I did get to ride it a few times before it's demise. And I didn't think it was any more rougher and any wooden coaster. The thing that scared me was the speed. I swore the thing was going to just tear itself off the track. Still ranks in my top three coasters I have ever rode. 1. MF at CF, 2 Voyage at HW 3. SOB KI 4. Imtimader 305 KD 5. DB KI Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  2. If it is tunnel then this guy's No Limit coaster model might not be to far off from what is planned. https://youtu.be/yjWf_RvPC-A
  3. CF seems to keep Blue Streak freshly painted then again it's been awhile since I been up there so I couldn't tell ya for sure. My point is I think they should plan better when adding new rides by trying to reuse places where old rides once sat. I'm sure there is a flat ride out there somewhere they could put in Flight Commander's location. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  4. I blame Paramount for ruining themed areas. I don't think CF would do anything to change it back. But I would like to see some things fixed up. I know bigger and badder coasters are what drives attendance. But how much would it cost the repaint The Racer back to its red white and blue. or add more LED lighting to the signage in Coney Mall or fix the effects on Adventure Express. Or remove or at least reuse some of the buildings no longer used like the Crypt. And one more thing I think WindSeeker would of fit nicely in the old Flight Commander spot instead of creating a dead end to the Coney Mall area were it is at now. 5. Problem solved. KI is getting a version of Heidi the ride.Merry Christmas in July. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  6. yes they did. IIRC, they removed the capabilities from the fountain several years (perhaps even a decade) ago. Equipment was too costly to maintain for a feature that doesn't work when it gets too warm. Thanks . Everyone thinks I'm crazy when I mention that.Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  7. I swear I remember that they had ice skating in fountains during Winterfest I only went to once when I was younger. Am I right about this ? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  8. Check out @GlauserDan13's Tweet: https://twitter.com/GlauserDan13/status/752599809308188673?s=09 I could be wrong but I think the wood is for fencing probably to go around the open part in the WWC entrance. If not we might have another SOB on our hands this doesn't look like coaster grade lumber to me Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  9. Not sure it was a plant. But some kids were tring to throw Pokémon balls at him Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  10. Didn't see anything new as for as construction when I ride the train today but I did see this. So I'm going with the name Mustang. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  11. There was a maintenance man working on the seatbelts on the last car on the red train when I was riding it not sure if that had anything to do with it. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  12. Told my wife I wanted to ride WWC today . She said I'll get the quarters. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  13. Banshee is good but if I had a choice between Banshee or Diamondback I would take DB Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  14. Not saying it's going to be a launch coaster just a similar layout Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. I'm still open to who is building this thing. I'm watching news on the rehabbing of Hurler at KD. My money is on who ever is doing that is building this one. I think we can all agree it's going to be wood with some or no steel. And maybe not the biggest but it should be still great if it goes through the woods maybe something like Lighting Rod or Prowler depending on who builds it Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  16. Don follows him so I'm not saying I trust him completely. But if he gives info I'll pay attention an use my own judgement on what is or isn't fact. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  17. Ok I trust this guy because of who follows him I stand corrected. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  18. I would expect that they would multiple drivers to deliver the amount of wood needed. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  19. Wait wouldn't there be mo re than one truck load of wood I would think they would ship as much of it as possible not just one load. I'm saying just a coinenedece Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  20. Looking at another perspective, look at the daily flights leaving Cincinnati (OK I know it is in Northern Kentucky. Actually it is in Boone County and is run by the Kenton County Airport Board which has a Cincinnati address lol) and compare it to the flights at Charlotte. You are hard pressed in Cincinnati to see anymore at night 8-11 planes lining up in the skies making their final descent into the airport (lucky to see 2 now), yet watching the skies at Carowinds reminds me of what it used to look like here. From 1997 to 2005, Cincinnati averaged over 20 million passengers yearly. We are now down to about 6 million passengers per year. During that same time period, Charlotte also averaged over 20 million passengers yearly. Yet today, they have averaged over 44 million passengers per year for the past several years compared to our measly 6 million. You invest where the people are. Many companies have relocated from Cincinnati to Charlotte, or expanded to Charlotte. Chiquita was one that relocated (although they have since left), while Cincinnati Insurance Company and Cardinal Solutions have opened up offices there, as has TQL. The weather is "better" there and the park can stay open more days. Countless other reasons I am sure can be added. While I would love to see KI get the investments, it truly is a smart decision to expand Carowinds and make that the CP of the south. Let's just hope they don't forget about giving KI some love. Almost every theme park ranking list I've seen has KI above Carowinds. Carowinds still has a way to go to elevate above KI. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  21. Indianapolis, Dayton, Lexington and a shared part of Columbus and let's not forget Warren County one of the fastest growing counties in the nation. KI feeds off of all theses areas. Sure the may someday fall behind places luke Carowinds but it won't be because people stop going. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  22. Wonder what the wait time will be for the train on Monday.[emoji2] Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  23. Heading out there on Monday. Guess I'll trade one of my 5 plus Diamondback rides for a ride on the train to get some pics. UUHHHH I mean investigate this falling trees thing. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
