  1. I went to Howl-O-Fest in 2009. I don't remember seeing the other characters, but I do remember seeing Scooby Doo and the gang.
  2. I got The Beast, which fittingly enough, is my favorite coaster. "As night falls, you bring terror to everyone."
  3. No such confirmation was made by the park on Instagram. A photo was posted about track work on the ride. There is a temporary plastic covering in the area where the carpenters are working on the ride this winter. Thanks for clearing that up! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Kings Island has just confirmed on Instagram that they are building a tunnel on Woodstock Express, and a new White Water Canyon entrance, explaining the construction in Rivertown.
  5. I usually start in Action Zone then work my way clockwise around the park.
  6. Hmm, good question! I honestly don't have one single favorite ride I took on a Kings Island attraction. Maybe it was the first time I ever rode Banshee, or perhaps it was the time I got my friend to finally ride The Beast after years of refusal. Or, maybe it was the first time I went on Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle, the first attraction I ever rode at Kings Island.
  7. Very interesting! I had no idea that Arrow built some of the rides at Disneyland.
  8. I've been to the cemetery during the off-season, I park in Great Wolf Lodge's parking lot and I just walk over to it.
  9. The last "Inn" post was where the The author confirms that it was Great Wolf Lodge. See https://cincinnatighosts.wordpress.com/2015/12/25/the-final-inn/ .
  10. When your friend lets you use his Google Cardboard and the first things you do are walk around Kings Island and take a virtual ride of Valravn (complete with me making twisting and turning motions like I'm on it). Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Welcome to the hotel Mason... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. As you may (or may not) know, I'm always in the mood for a good ghost story. And lo and behold, the Great Wolf Lodge here in Mason apparently has some, at least according to https://cincinnatighosts.wordpress.com/page/2/?s=the+inn .
  13. 2016! We are now one step closer to April!
  14. I'll definitly be able to go to Kings Island tons of times next year, I live five minutes away and my Gold Pass is renewed. I also hope to make it to Cedar Point, Knoebels, and Disneyland next year as well.
  15. I think it's pretty obvious based on my profile picture, but even though I never rode it, it would definitly be Phantom Theater.
  16. Watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and then after dinner watching either Miracle on 34th Street or Home Alone.
  17. When I moved to Mason in 2007, I was all excited that there was a Scooby-Doo ride at Kings Island, because I was obsessed with Scooby-Doo back then. It was the first ride I rode at KI, and it was my favorite when I was a little kid. I remember that when I heard they were removing it I started crying. I liked Boo Blasters before I found out about the previous occupants of the building, but out of the two I'll always like Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle the best because of all the memories.
  18. I went to Coco Key last year in March, just for the day. The water slides were fun, but it was a rather dirty place.
  19. The couple in bed and the Boocifer gravestone in the beginning rarely work as well.
  20. Put German food back in the Festhaus, for just a small change. It would definitly bring the theming back.
  21. I'm a bit late, but congratulations on 300 Vortex rides, VortexBFForever!
  22. When Kings Island starts posting videos and pictures of the Royal Fountains drained, the trains from Shake, Rattle and Roll being removed, etc. on their Instagram page.
  23. If a dark ride does come (fingers are crossed) I would not want it to be a bunch of screens. To me, that just isn't a dark ride. It's like a movie that you are inside of. To me, a dark ride has to be with physical props. A Wild Mouse coaster in the Crypt building actually sounds like a good idea! Maybe, with the Rivertown theme, it could be themed to a haunted mine, perhaps? Or it could be a return of Phantom Theater with the characters interacting with the track (Example: Maestro could curse your car before going down a hill or backwards).
  24. It ended up being Boo Blasters three weeks ago, because I didn't know that that was the last time I would be at the park this season.
