PKI Pays Tribute to the Heros of 9-11

On September 10th of 2004, PKI made a historically noble act. They opened their doors to the public for free as a humble thank you to the hometown heros in the emergency service as well as to pay tribute to those who acted, and sometimes died bravely during the attacks of 9/11.

Today wasn't about dropping 264ft, or riding the tallest, fastest, only looping wooden coaster on Earth, it was a somber event that included displays made by the local first responders as well as a moving tribute in the Paramount Theatre. The day was capped off by two jumps by an acrobatic skydiver which featured pyrotechnics and a huge American flag.

If you missed this event, you really missed something special. Hopefully it will come around again next year so it can be enjoyed by everyone.

Hats off to PKI for such a noble gesture.

Oh yeah, and just for the sake of not getting a million posts about it, there's nothing to report on the new sign. ;)

Regards,
