Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to this site's KICentral Day, I had a great time and had lots of fun!

DSC00954.jpg

We left the house at around 8:00. It felt kind of wierd getting up that early for KI, usually it's around 9:30 we leave!

DSC00955.jpg

It was a cool, clear morning, and the perfect weather stuck around all day!

DSC00956.jpg

Hey, wait a second...

DSC00957.jpg

There aren't any cars here!

DSC00959.jpg

That Red Honda was ours. We got a Great spot!

DSC00962.jpg

It was kind of wierd walking up through the parking lot alone.

DSC00963.jpg

There's a Vekoma on the horizon, sir!

DSC00964.jpg

There's a lot of mechanical stuff up there.

DSC00965.jpg

I loved the lanyards. "Venomous Important Person"

DSC00966.jpg

Season Pass Pricing for next year.

DSC00969.jpg

$140 for a renewall? WOW!

DSC00967.jpg

That's 318 Feet Up, if I remember correctly.

DSC00968.jpg

We registered at the old Season Pass Entrence

DSC00970.jpg

You get a TON of G-Forces on those inversions!

DSC00971.jpg

It's Don Helbig! We saw a lot of him today.

Where the Holloween Haunt stuff used to stand is the new location of the Diamondback Model!

DSC00973.jpg

Diamondback is a big deal.

DSC00974.jpg

There were crowds around the model all day long!

DSC00975.jpg

It's a tad-bit innacurate, but a nice representation, none the less.

DSC00976.jpg

I usually don't ride Drop Tower, but today I felt like i needed an adrenaline rush so I hoped I could ride it!

DSC00977.jpg

It's Face/Off!

DSC00978.jpg

Ohh, Sorry. It's Invertigo! *Slaps Head for forgeting*

DSC00979.jpg

We went around Timberwolf for a lights on tour of Club Blood.

DSC00980.jpg

We also got a rare look at the old Flight of Fear Trains!

DSC00981.jpg

I'm glad they switched to Lap Bars.

DSC00982.jpg

I've never been in Club Blood before

DSC00983.jpg

Son of Beast started testing!

DSC00985.jpg

The Son of Beast was open, Flight Deck was closed.

All Right, Steering away from Club Blood we now have some Invertigo ERT!

DSC00999.jpg

Invertigo is surpirsingly smooth, and a quite enjoyable ride!

DSC01000.jpg

I rode her 3 times before I thought I was going to puke.

DSC01012.jpg

Once the park opened everyon made a mad-dash to Son of Beast. Sort of a "I'll do it and get it out of the way" thing.

Sorry, no pictures for this!

I then went over to the Carosuel to get my Son of Beast tour tickets. It was a precious moment seeing so many hard core enthusiasts riding the Carosuel!

I had a bit more time so then I went over to the walk on that was the Blue Racer. I thought it was real fun, but it could be smoother.

DSC01006.jpg

10:50, time to prepare for a Son of Beast walkback!

DSC01005.jpg

Let us in! Let us in!

DSC01013.jpg

Splash! I caught it at just the right moment for this picture

DSC01014.jpg

"Come to the Nick Theatre in 15 minutes for Dora's Sing Along Adventure, Starring the Big Red Chicken!"

DSC01010.jpg

At least we had something to watch untill 11:00!

DSC01007.jpg

Why is there a double down? To accomodate the pathway underneath?

DSC01015.jpg

All right! We're in!

DSC01016.jpg

Poor Flight Deck. I hope it's up and running soon!

DSC01017.jpg

I noticed Saturdays are allways the most crowded days. Son of Beast pulled a 2 hour wait!

DSC01018.jpg

Wow!

DSC01020.jpg

Son of Beast may not be the best ride...

DSC01021.jpg

...But when it come to behind the scenes tours the Son of Beast was a great idea!

Nice photos!

I haven't had a chance to see the DB model yet, thanks for posting it. Invertigo is one of my favorites too. I've noticed SOB always has a huge wait when I go. I don't even bother with it.

I went into Club Blood when it was open last year. It was completely disgusting  I have to say, it was worth the wait in line.

Son of Beast has a beautiful structure.

DSC01024.jpg

I rode Son of Beast in the front row of the blue train, and I found it to be kind of O.K.!

DSC01025.jpg

Every time I ride this overbank it freaks me out because it goes through it with so much speed!

DSC01026.jpg

Breath taking

DSC01029.jpg

I swear, I put a loop RIGHT HERE! Where did it go?

DSC01030.jpg

It looks like airtime, but it's a Beast; what airtime? ;)

DSC01035.jpg

Me and the Son of Beast.

DSC01039.jpg

This sturcture would wiggle as the train goes through it. I know it's supposed to, I have just never seen it happen before!

DSC01040.jpg

I love this ride so much more.

DSC01042.jpg

A Picnic Bench?

DSC01037.jpg

Get Ready for the loop! Oh, wait.

DSC01050.jpg

Outpost 5? Where's 4, 3, 2, and 1?

DSC01051.jpg

Told ya it was long.

We left the park for lunch after the walk-back

DSC01054.jpg

We had a nice lunch underneath a shade tree.

DSC01055.jpg

But, there's riding to be done. Duty Calls.

DSC01056.jpg

My mom loves these charecters.

DSC01057.jpg

We went to Thrill Seekers and I got a T-Shirt!

DSC01058.jpg

I've never ridden this before...

DSC01059.jpg

Adventure Express, yea!

DSC01060.jpg

45 Minute Wait, Boo!

DSC01061.jpg

It was a Saturday, I was just going to have to live with the crowds.

DSC01062.jpg

A nice ride, but I would have prefered the Addams Familly Coaster.

DSC01063.jpg

ZOMG, It's a turn!

DSC01064.jpg

It shakes, it rattles, it rolls. It's...

DSC01065.jpg

Aww, you ruined it!

DSC01066.jpg

I find this ride quite relaxing, a very nice ride.

Get loopy!

DSC01070.jpg

Wee!

DSC01072.jpg

Up next, another one of my favorites.

DSC01073.jpg

As in Extra Base: For rides that don't fit in. (I'm still waiting for Time Warp!)

DSC01074.jpg

I love Kings Island.

DSC01076.jpg

Prepare, for FUN!

DSC01077.jpg

After Zephyr someone handed us this!

DSC01078.jpg

I will get to ride Drop Tower after all!

DSC01079.jpg

It can get pretty intimidating,

DSC01081.jpg

But I love it!

DSC01082.jpg

We rode the Dodgems next, which seem to get worse and worse each time. I hate to say it, but they have now been downgraded to LAME!

DSC01083.jpg

I miss the Eagles. (Someone from the Q&A: "Did you get any bad stuff for removing the Eagles and can we have them back?")

DSC01084.jpg

Kings Island is proud of Diamondback. They should be, according to Jeff Gramke they've been trying to get a B&M for years!

DSC01085.jpg

It's a brake, let's all go nuts.

DSC01086.jpg

What kind of people just leave stuff laying all over? Someone could trip, and fall on the support beam! ;)

DSC01088.jpg

Let's save this picture and compare it to a picture taken in the same spot 1 year from now.

DSC01092.jpg

Brake Shed is almost complete!

DSC01090.jpg

Quick Transitions, rough Banking, it's an Arrow. But I still love it.

More like a 10min AE wait... B)

Maybe from THAT spot it might be a 10min wait. Thats not to say he didnt wait as long as he said he did. By the way, how was your drink on Dodgem and the Carousel? And the kite flying? How did that go? You do have a nice camera, I will give that one to you. (Wink Wink)

Thrills in a Box: The Ride!

DSC01096.jpg

Apperently The Beast entrance will be remodeled for next year.

DSC01097.jpg

There's gonna be a Footing here, I can feel it.

DSC01099.jpg

All right, the Construction tour begins!

DSC01100.jpg

My favorite ride.

DSC01101.jpg

I can't belive they spent millions of dollars on a big box. Wait, there's a ride in the box? OHH!

DSC01104.jpg

Ronny aplauded me for calling them "Footings"

DSC01105.jpg

The famous Ravine!

DSC01107.jpg

It's nice to finally see the ravine from a different view.

DSC01109.jpg

The ravine used to be deeper, but they had to raised.

DSC01112.jpg

I can't believe how many footings are back there!

DSC01118.jpg

I won't bore you with tons of Ravine pics so I'll leave it at this.

My mom wouldn't ride a lot of the rides, so she found someone for her to hang with!

DSC01138.jpg

Yes, my hair always looks like that.

DSC01143.jpg

The Beast came close to a 2 hour wait! No rides on The Beast today. :(

DSC01144.jpg

Wait, we're going on a Beast tour to?

DSC01145.jpg

SWEET!

DSC01146.jpg

I love going under wooden supports.

DSC01147.jpg

A 135 foot drop is what you've got here.

DSC01148.jpg

Yau-Ming would have trouble in this tunnel.

DSC01150.jpg

Get Ready...

DSC01151.jpg

...To Drop!

DSC01155.jpg

Further into the woods...

DSC01157.jpg

It's that stupid strait-away before the second lift!

JEFF GRAMKE!

DSC01191.jpg

The Q&A Was very interesting, and I learned a LOT.

DSC01193.jpg

I liked the Wild Thornberry's Show, why does Nick have to cancel the good stuff and replace it with things like the Mighty B?

DSC01194.jpg

The Vortex glows at Sunset.

DSC01195.jpg

I think the guy who poo'd in Club Blood took a leak here!

It was nice meeting you and your interest in the park showed with your questions during the Q & A times. Also I don’t know if my mother would have tromped through such a long day for me without complaining about it, your mother was a true trooper and always seemed to have a smile on her face. Maybe I should not say this but at times when you where taking or asking questions, I could not but help notice your mother had a look of pride on her face as she was listening to you speak.

I am quite sure you have thanked her appropriately, you are very fortunate.

I love playing "Find Ty" in all these trip reports! You only had me once though, and it actually my reflection...

But I'm in your shot, Avatar!
