It's been Long Time no see, 3 weeks since my last visit and I was able to head on over to KI last night for 3 and a half hours!

Since this PTR is so huge it's going to take multiple posts, when I say "Thanks For Reading" then I'm done.

DSC00247.jpg

I really didn't expect to find anything new here, although I did keep my eyes open for the Track.

DSC00248.jpg

Which could be found right here!

DSC00249.jpg

There was TONS of track.

DSC00250.jpg

The track is simply massive, at least 5 feet wide.

DSC00251-1.jpg

There were not many people here at all.

DSC00252-1.jpg

I always take this pic at KI.

DSC00253.jpg

They changed the billboard to advertise HH, DB, and FF.

DSC00254-2.jpg

Freaky. ;)

DSC00255.jpg

I think they always do a good job with this.

DSC00256.jpg

My famous trooper mom loves to be silly.

DSC00257.jpg

"Kings Island has been officially transformed into the world's biggest cemetary."

DSC00258.jpg

I had just eaten dinner, I didn't want to ride DT tonight.

DSC00259.jpg

When KI says "Minor Damage", this is what they mean.

DSC00260.jpg

First Up, Walk-On on the Amazing Invert called Invertigo!

DSC00261.jpg

Next, Walk-on on Delerium!

DSC00262.jpg

For all those wondering what happened to the Tomb Raider jeep! ;)

DSC00263.jpg

For the first time in a long time I was speechless on a ride, I think mainly because I was blown away by the quality of the ride.

DSC00264.jpg

The Screaming-Contest was closed today!

DSC00265.jpg

I NEED my AE Fix!!!!!

DSC00266.jpg

The Adventure Express Delivers again! I love this ride. B)

DSC00267.jpg

They had the Red Side only Running, but it was still a walk-on!

DSC00268.jpg

I know who Helbig is, but who is Coffey?

DSC00269.jpg

I still think The Racer is one of the Best Rides at the park, I sat in the second row of the first car and I had a blast!

DSC00270.jpg

Let's go, to the, X-BASE!

DSC00271.jpg

One walk-on on FOF? NOT ENOUGH! I NEED TWO!

DSC00272.jpg

Well I know my limits, 2 FOF rides are enough. As we were walking out of X-Base I saw Death Row!

DSC00273.jpg

The Construction Site! :o

DSC00274.jpg

I rode Vortex in 5-1 next.

DSC00275.jpg

Well, I'll say it was not one of my more enjoyable rides.

DSC00276.jpg

It is a very beautiful ride though.

DSC00277.jpg

While I recover from riding Invertigo, Delerium, 2 FOF, and Vortex, all in 35 minutes, let's check out Diamondback!

DSC00278.jpg

Moment of Silence.

DSC00279.jpg

This support looks so much taller on the Webcam!

DSC00280.jpg

Always put in the keystone last.

DSC00281.jpg

Rail Rider, I'm with you on the 45* Lift thing. It is STEEP!

DSC00282.jpg

The Sky Ride.

DSC00283.jpg

Skylab.

DSC00284.jpg

Imagine what this will look like in April!

DSC00285.jpg

The crane is bigger then SOB.

DSC00286.jpg

Moment of Silence. May he Rest in Piece.

DSC00287.jpg

It seems as though Rivertown is the Beloved Rides Cemetary.

DSC00288.jpg

I don't know if the Rotor was beloved, but it was nice to see it remembered.

DSC00289.jpg

B&M is photogenic. Period. End of Story.

DSC00290.jpg

When you go there, you will be able to really get an idea of how this will Tower over the midway!

DSC00291.jpg

It's going to be great watching this fly over the path!

DSC00292.jpg

Talk about G-Forces!!

DSC00296.jpg

Moment of silence.

DSC00297.jpg

Clink Clink Clink Clink.......Whoosh! Whoa! Wow!

DSC00298.jpg

Always better then Avatar.

DSC00299.jpg

Never heard of it.

DSC00300.jpg

While I'm here I might as well get a Beast fix!

DSC00301.jpg

After a Blast on The Beast I saw this.

DSC00302.jpg

The Weather was beautiful that day.

DSC00304.jpg

The Buggies. :(

DSC00305.jpg

I went into the Train Station to check out the first drop.

DSC00306.jpg

The Track is huge.

DSC00307.jpg

It's gonna come real close to the train.

DSC00308.jpg

I'm running out of captions.

DSC00310.jpg

The Comet.

DSC00311.jpg

I am sad at this. :(

DSC00312.jpg

Sooo much better then the Bungies.

DSC00313.jpg

I am going to LOVE Diamondback.

DSC00314.jpg

Moment of Silence.

DSC00315.jpg

How Sad. :(

DSC00316.jpg

While we were heading over to Action Zone I took this.

DSC00317.jpg

Judging by the age of the car I'd say they've been rotting there since the 50's!

DSC00318.jpg

Let's check out X-Base, maybe Firehawk's got a short line!

DSC00319.jpg

I love walking under Woodies. I've walked under the Kentucky Rumbler, Son of Beast, Beast, Racer, Mean Streak and Blue Streak!

DSC00320.jpg

Hill after Beautiful Hill.

DSC00321.jpg

Well Firehawk had a long line, and FOF was closed, so that was dissapointing.

DSC00322.jpg

Anyone know what these poles are for?

DSC00323.jpg

What the? What's up with the Blue thing on the Zephyr?

DSC00324.jpg

The Eiffel Tower looks very nice at Twilight.

DSC00325.jpg

What Happened Here?! :o

DSC00326.jpg

Let's just abandon all hope of Pepsi, ok? ;)

DSC00327.jpg

I like the Action Zone Area.

DSC00329.jpg

Drop Tower is one of the many rides at KI with amazing Photogenicy.

Awesome PTR! Did you ride the Crypt? The last 3 times I went to Kings Island before it closed through september, it was closed, so I am wondering if maybe they were working on it or something. Was it even open?

Oh yeah, are there any of the Phantom Theater props out this year?

DSC00330.jpg

Action Zone looked like a radio-active/alien/battleground.

DSC00331.jpg

I should've waited for people to swing.

DSC00332.jpg

Time to ride!

DSC00333.jpg

When they say, "True Beauty Lies Underneath", I don't think Club Blood applies!

DSC00334.jpg

I still think KI looks the best at Twilight.

DSC00335.jpg

To me, this will Always be the "Highway to the Danger Zone!" :)

DSC00336.jpg

I think the Wing Over is the Best part.

DSC00337.jpg

Someone told me this Que was gone. Bogus!

DSC00338.jpg

One Train going up SOB, one ending their flight on Flight Deck.

DSC00339.jpg

The Support Structure is very odd on Flight Deck.

DSC00340.jpg

This PROVES Flight Deck is built into the terrain.

DSC00341.jpg

Again, "Minor Damage".

DSC00342.jpg

Flight Deck's gotta be one of my favorites.

DSC00343.jpg

The Front Seat Kick's @$$!

DSC00345.jpg

What, SoB has an Estimated Wait time? Was this here before?

DSC00346.jpg

Time for my first ride on Xtreme Skyflier!

DSC00347.jpg

I feel like I'm in St. Louis again.

DSC00348.jpg

Sweet Sign.

DSC00349.jpg

It took me a half hour wait but I'm finally getting Strapped up!

DSC00351.jpg

The part where I suddenly flip from standing up to flying position made it worth it! ;)

DSC00352.jpg

If you look closely you will see Me rising up.

DSC00354.jpg

I have to admit when I got to the top I did have some second thoughts,

DSC00355.jpg

But I had a total blast! DEFINITELY A great ride!

DSC00356.jpg

I was going to make a Bee-Line to The Beast, but you know I have to stop at the AE!

DSC00357.jpg

If I remember correctly, one or more years they changed the sign at HH to say "Coney Maul"

DSC00358.jpg

Time for my first night ride on The Beast!

DSC00359.jpg

I had a Blast! The Beast is simply AMAZING at night!

DSC00360.jpg

Spooky Skeleton Cowboy at Rivertown.

DSC00362.jpg

As I was leaving I noticed that the PUDDLE WAS GONE! :o:lol:

Ride Count:

Invertigo: 1

Flight Deck: 1

Xtreme Skyflier: 1

Delerium: 1

Adventure Express: 2

Red Racer: 1

Flight of Fear: 2

Vortex: 1

Beast: 2

Thanks for Reading!

Thats weird, that they would close it NOW for construction, when it was open when they were cutting that thing of concrete out of the old queue? Maybe they are adding more scenery, and making a better ride program

Where was that "Son of Beast Estimated Wait Time"? I don't remember it ever having one of those... Maybe all the rides will get those next season. Those things were awesome at CP, you didn't have to go up to every employee at an entrance to a ride and say "how long is the wait?" It was all on a sign!

I used to enjoy The Vortex, but it has gotten rougher over the years, and the batwing really hurts. Every Arrow coaster I've ridden is like that. They may as well be built out of coat hangers.

Thanks for the Antique Cars gravestone photo. I really miss those. My dad and I would always ride those when we went to KI before I turned 16, "because it was a good way to prepare me for driving school." I was horrible at it, but those were good times. My dad is such a joker.

I really liked Flight Deck when it had the Top Gun theming. It added anticipation to the ride, that and it has always been one of my favorite movies. I still have photos of the theming somewhere, I'll have to look for them later. I've ridden it since they changed it to Flight Deck, and for me, it just isn't the same.

It is good to see that KI is starting to post expected wait times, hopefully that's a hint that they will have the full setup next year. CP has one by the entrance to every single coaster and thrill ride, even the Giant Wheel.

The sign was sitting on a chair just a few steps behind the Entrance sign, hard to notice.

-Woah! Congo Falls damage!

-Flying Carpets = Giant Slide

-Scooby's Ghoster Coaster sucked. Avatar is MUCH better

-They've changed Coney Mall to Coney Maul practically every year

And about the ride times, I think it's a great idea, HOWEVER, a small sign sitting on a chair is very cheap. They should have electronic time boards instead above the entrances to all major attractions.

It's been there since my last trip report. You can read it here. Second paragraph.
