Paramount's Carowinds

I went to PC over the summer. It is kewl, and has some decent coasters, but it seems like PKI is much bigger than PC. Their Top Gun Coaster is much better than ours, and their Vortex is quite different than ours. I would say my favorite would be that they have a rollercoaster that is built on the North Carolina/South Carolina border, so that when riding it you pass through both states across the state line twice. Its just a standard out and back woodie, but it is still a kewl idea. the other plus to this park, is that there are in fact two entrances to the park. Both have fully functional ticket windows, and both get you into high thrill areas of the park. I wish PKI could have two fully functional ticket areas, one at the main gate, and one at WaterWorks, which would help get people into the park faster when it opens.

I thought 3 of the coasters at PC cross the state border. Goldrusher, Thunder Road and Vortex.

By the way, PKI couldn't get guests in the PKI faster in the mornings if they added a functional ticket entrance in Waterworks. The water park opens an hour later than the rest of PKI :-)

Nope, Vortex is in the middle of the park on the North Carolina Side of the park, and I think it falls short of the state line by like 10 or 15 feet, or something stupid like that. Goldrusher though is built on the state line as well. My mistake. I wouldn't expect another gate at WaterWorks. The things that works at Carowinds, is that there is an entrance on the North Side and one on the South side, and the way it works out, an entrance in each state. It would be kewl if PKI ever gets big enough to add a back entrance and some parking on the other side of the park. Don't know if that will ever happen though. Their front turnstyles are always packed when they open in the morning.
