Guest rcfreak339
If your a friend with "Cedar Point" on facebook there is a note he wrote on his page today.... http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=1...9484&ref=nf If your not a freaind then here is what it said... Okay guys I will say alittle. The Pepsi contract ends at the end of the season so we will no longer sell Pepsi. We will have Coke. Snake River Fallls is getting tore down. If you ride the boat ride you will see that they have started the construction. The new ride is a WATER COASTER. We have a few names picked out. But us at the off like Spectacular the best YES the ride MIGHT be named SPECTACULAR. This will be done by the year 2011. But somthing DIFFERENT will be coming over by Disaster Transport. It is a double deck Ferris Wheel from a Cedar Fair Park.. More coming soon Could this be true? Doubtful, Anyone could have put that there....But still something to throw out there. Why would I doubt a random person's veracity?
The Interpreter
No seasonal park announces rides two years before they open. And BEFORE the conference call. And the soft drink announcement screams bogus. Both Coke and Cedar Fair would issue a major press release on that one. This is total horse hockey. It honestly doesn't make much sense at all....Can't Cedar Point renew there contract with Pepsi? Why wouldn't they?
CutToThePoint
I don't even see why anyone would even be considering that this is true. What's the point in this thread?
Fear the Four
Someone is probably just joshin around with ya.
Touchdown
Because Coke offered a better deal, and they have to pay to convert half their parks over to one beverage or the other anyways.

It honestly doesn't make much sense at all....Can't Cedar Point renew there contract with Pepsi? Why wouldn't they? It takes at least two parties to renew most contracts. Why wouldn't they? Perhaps Coke would offer more, that's why. But we aren't there...yet. And may never be. Or might. In any event, such an agreement would NOT be announced on Facebook. There are public disclosure requirements to be met by investor owned companies. And a random comment on a Facebook page doesn't even begin to meet them. Diamondback96
Spectacular? Is Nick staying in Cedar Fair? Joking aside, I don't think this is legit. Just look at the grammar., And wouldn't a water coaster go in Soak City?

Touchdown
There are two types of water coasters, those made by Mack and Intamin that feature boats and a portion of the ride that is similar to a kiddie coaster with the other portion being similar to a log flume and the type made by NBS and Proslide that are water slides that have a portion that go up hill. Obviously the type being discussed here would be the former, not the latter.
CedarPointer
I don't see how the NBS and Proslide versions are considered "water coasters".
Touchdown
They are considered "water coasters" though. just type in water coaster into google images. You'll get the amusement ride and the water slide on the first page.
