Thanks everyone smile.gif I enjoy taking pics at the park. I am ashamed to admit just HOW many I've taken in the past year there....

I know what you mean. Since getting my camera, I'm finding more and more that I'd rather walk and take pictures each visit to the park than ride any rides at all.

Where is The Beast's outhouse thing located? Can't say I've ever seen, which is very surprising to me! Great pictures by the way!

Edit -- The more I think about it, the more I think maybe I have seen it... Is it in the exit?

Once you are in the station, it's to the right. It's actually under where you stand. We were in line for the last seat and standing at the railings facing DB when I looked down and found it. Of all the times I've been there, that was my first time noticing. I guess it's along the old exit path...I know there is an emergency exit before boarding...I suppose that is what would get you to it.

Thanks! That was a lucky shot - I wanted to get a good picture of the bird because it isn't seen very often, but it was getting dark, so it was hard to get a good shot of it without the flash bouncing off of something in the foreground. I did take two other photos of it as well:

<a href=" Heron #1 title="Heron #1 by oldiesmann, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4020/4657059908_e1ef6cd589.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Heron #1" /></a>

<a href=" Heron #2 title="Heron #2 by oldiesmann, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4051/4656439253_fe7de4a0d6.jpg" width="500" height="375" alt="Heron #2" /></a>

Both were taken by setting my camera to "night snapshot" mode and using one of the wooden rope posts as a tripod. Unfortunately, the post I set the camera on for the first photo was crooked, so the photo looks a bit odd (though I can probably straighten it with Paint .NET).

The funny thing is this...though you say that in jest, there are many who would agree with you. Even your random stuff is good. If you didn't post crap like that, who would?

Certainly not me...I specialize in word pictures...not photographs...And I am so glad that people like you post the PTR's and pictures you do! :)
