I didn't go there last year, so this trip I was very excited. Drive from just north of Cincinnati to Holiday Worlds parking lot was two hour 45 mins, and 185.5 miles.

Got to the park just at 9am CST, Saturday heard it was very busy that day, also turn out to be very busy Sunday. Main parking lot was mostly fulled, along with the legend lot. when we got into the park and got a locker at the front, the room as I remembered it before had rows and rows of lockers, now they had just two. The first few hours the main park was really busy up on till the water park opened, we rode the Raven first then Legend, then Liberty launch, and the Voyage before heading to the water park. At this point it was around 1pm and the water park was packed! It was shoulder to shoulder in the wave pool, and most of If not all the slides had lines. We got into the Bahari wave pool and at first the water was a bit chilly but when you body got used to it you felt fine, the high temp was going to be 95 and it felt like that.

By mid day most of the water felt like bath water, really warm. We rode Pilgrims Plunge only a 30 min wait, the lift going up is really quick. It was a good ride, we sat in the back, seems like the front gets wet more. While at the water park we rode there new water coaster Wildebeest, I'm not joking the we waited and hour 30 mins, it felt like we were never going to get to the load station, the ride it self was amazing nice and long, with open air section and dark tunnels. I read the max weight was 800 pounds, I saw a raft go up the lift and it looked like it over that limit lol. By that time my legs and feet were getting sore, we headed back to the wave pool. Oh and this wave pool the Bahari wave pool makes wave's, not like most others that make ripples. I'm 6'1" and at the 5 1/2' mark with the waves coming I have to jump for my head to clear the top of them. :D

One of the big thing's I saw was as we were getting waffle cones, I go over to get napkins and there's six or eight large square containers full of condiments, from BBQ to Sweet Honey, while Kings Island charges 50 cents for them, HW is giving them away, and they are giving away bottle water at $1.59, Kings Island and others $3.00. You also get a free cookie with a combo meal. And as everyone knows free parking, free entree to the water park, free soft drinks(Pepsi), free sunscreen( only in the water park I've seen) And just about everyone smokes in the areas there supposed to. Before we left the water park we got on Bakuli, Bahari River, and Jungle Racer.

After the water parked closed we head over to Liberty launch, it has more air time than Power Tower. Then a last round of coasters, the Voyage was first. Don't know what to say that was just painful and rough! can't say any part of the ride was smooth. We left the park after riding the legend, way to rough and we were seating up towards the front. I really can't see how Voyage can stay at the top, with how rough it is. Today I still have a headache hang over.

Ride count,

Raven, I

Legend, II

Voyage, II

Liberty Launch, II

Turkey Whirl, I

Gobbler Getaway, I

-----

WildeBeest, I

Jungle Racer, I

Bakuli, I

Bahari River, II

Thanks for ready.

Last time we were at KI, they had a ton of free condiments with the napkins beside Snoopy Grill. Every time I get fries from Potato Works I use the large free ketchup containers on the side of the building.

Nice report, glad you had fun. HW does seem like a nice park.

I'm getting more and more excited for Holiday World in late August!

When I first looked up Liberty Launch on the website, I thought "This will be stupid" since it's not too tall and fast. Yet, you said it packs a punch! Now I'm excited for that ride so much more.

I do hope it's not as crowded when I go. It looks like the crowd didn't ruin your day though. Seems like a great place to visit!

Don't get too excited for Liberty Launch. You should be most excited for (imo)

1. Voyage

2. Raven

3. Legend

4. Wildebeest

5. Park Atmosphere

If you are going in August expect crowds. Pat Koch herself says to go in June because of much smaller crowds.

Yeah Liberty Launch may look small but it does pack a punch! it feels very like Power Tower being launch up, but Liberty also gives a quick burst when your at the top to force you back down, that gives you the big air time! :D Oh and the Legend the thing I don't like about that is some of the turn's have little to no banking, so if really forces you to the side, it leaves me sore. The best and smoothest seat on the three coasters is the front car, middle and back your asking to be get roughed up.

When the Voyage was brand new you could ride it in the back seat, and that was some major air time!

Actually, on my last visit to the park (last Thursday) the floral clock was non-operational. The hands had been removed and there was a piece of wood covering up the location where the hands of the clock normally attach. It was like the clock normally is in the pre and post seasons.

Also, the floral calendar no longer lists the year, just the month and date. I think thats unfortunate. It was neat to have the year on there as well, since it was a way to date the picture.

I remember watching a video were Will talked about why they put in clocks, is so there's no confusion about what time zone the park is in. And so to let people know what time it is. lol And they have two trams, one for the Raven lot, and a second one for the Legend lot.

And when I worked at KI, my manager told me that the one reason for I-Street having those island put in, is so the people would be closer to the stores, were before there was a side walk next to the windows.

Kieth, it was that same way last year, I just checked my photo archives from last years' visits. Also, the lack of clocks is exactly as has been stated here, to try to fool the guests into spending more time/money... just as it has been in casinos for decades. Apparently the geniuses who own/operate these places seem to forget 99% of everyone in this Country now has a phone that has a clock on it.

Fun PTR! Sounds like you had a great time, headaches aside. :)

The only thing... Forgive me, everyone, because I probably sound like a cheerleader, but I'm willing to put money on the fact that you didn't ride Voyage in either the front row of a car or in the very front (or very back) row. Voyage is a very odd ride in that moving to the center of the train tends to result in a rougher ride. People tend to have mixed feelings about the last row, but I guarantee that you might enjoy Voyage quite a bit more if you ride in the front row. The ride's alleged jackhammering/jerkiness is at its least in that seat, and riding there has converted some to a more positive opinion of a ride. (The defense calls Beast1979 as a witness!)

Yeah that is there hole plan is to let people lose track of time, I wanted to sit in the front car but, that hole park of the station was fulled up tight. Had no idea who was waiting for what seat. We did ride the Legend in the front seat, and it was still rough. Raven was much better.

And I leave when I am going to leave...and wear a watch. All clocks might do as to my visits is reduce the number of people who ask me what time it is...(which is usually quite a considerable number).

I just wish the clock above the Fest House still worked...

It does work in a limited capacity, it's right twice a day. LOL!
