New GCI- China

Apperently GCI is building a new coaster at a new park in China called "Knight Valley"...The coaster has no name and so far from what I have seen no Press Release or anything. Nor, Does it seem that many people even know this ride is being built.

It looks incredible...no mid course break aswell.

Seriously, this thing looks to be one of the most incredible coasters I have EVER seen.

I've been following the progress on GCI's Facebook page. This coaster does look wicked. I love that it also looks to be a terrain hugger.

Was this the coaster some of us thought was a Son of Beast fix as GCI released small section previews n Facebook? Some were edging it on by saying the terrain looked familiar.

Great Coasters International, Inc. has been chosen to design/build a 4,817 ft (1,468 m) wood coaster for China OCT's Knight Valley. This behemoth will be GCI's largest single track coaster yet and will feature a 147 ft (44.8 m) lift and a wild 131 ft (40 m) triple-down first drop. Beginning the ride with a castle fly-through, the ride also has an exciting station fly-through (often a GCI signature), a station fly-by, and 80 degrees of banking. All of this is experienced while riding two Millennium Flyer trains, which are now the gold standard for wood coaster trains.

This amazing ride will open late this year, and GCI Coasters continue their reign as the biggest bargain in the business.

I'm still worried about how spread out the ride is...

2 trains on this? It sounds like it really needs to have 3 trains.

When they couldn't even get more capacity with three trains on the very much longer Son of Beast?

Look at The Vortex it has 3 trains and its 3,800 feet long and I notice big difference in how fast the line moves when they only have two trains on.

It all has to do with the block breaks. Which is what I think Terpy was saying. You could have a really short ride. But as long as it had the block breaks to fit, you could have as many as 5 trains on it.

And this ride has no midcourse brake...to add a third train would require one...about which American enthusiasts would complain...

I know how the blocks work. I would rather see a higher capcity ride even though this park may not need to worry about that to much,

And Millenium Force has three trains but no mid course brake. But they also have two stations, one for exiting and one for loading. Only one train can be traversing the course at any time.
