Screams of pure panic pierce the night. There’s nowhere you’re safe in the most immersive horror experience in the Midwest – Halloween Haunt at Kings Island! <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.phanfare.com/embed/1009485-5100347-139268845-fa2b54c5a38b601d267bcee915c902e3" frameborder="0"></iframe> This year, the bloodcurdling horror and nightmarish madness of Halloween Haunt will feature two new thriller mazes, Holiday Horror and Mysteria, and an all-new fear zone, Nightmare Alley. Returning haunted attractions include CarnEvil, Club Blood, CornStalkers, Cut Throat Cove, Massacre Manor, Slaughter House, Tombstone Terror-Tory, Urgent Scare and Wolf Pack. Also back by popular demand for a third season is the Hot Blooded live stage show in the Showplace Theatre <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.phanfare.com/embed/1009485-5100347-139272345-9e3ced89a2ef671c131539db6c574740" frameborder="0"></iframe> Midget wrestling with the Half Pint Brawlers in the Festhaus. Kings Island’s favorite thrill-ride attractions are open during Halloween Haunt. Favorites include The Beast, Diamondback, Firehawk, Vortex, Drop Tower, Invertigo, Delirium, Flight Deck, The Racer, Flight of Fear, Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Monster, Zephyr, Scrambler, Shake, Rattle & Roll, Dodgem, The Crypt, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill and WindSeeker. The event dates for Halloween Haunt are Friday and Saturday nights from 7:00pm until 1:00am on September 23, 24, 30; October 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 and 29. Friday nights feature the ‘Wall of Monsters’ when the gates to the underworld open at 7:00pm. Only the bravest of souls will make it past the vast array of vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies, undertakers, clowns and assorted ghouls and monsters they’ll encounter on their way into the park. On Saturdays, the park opens at 11:00am with everyone’s favorite rides and attractions. All eight indoor haunted mazes open at 5:00pm. The full Halloween Haunt experience begins at 7:00pm. gabelogan99 Posted September 24, 2011 Share Posted September 24, 2011 Amazing! I can not wait to go to Halloween Haunt this year! This is definitely my favorite time of year at King Island. Even walking around the park during the day in the fall is something I find very enjoyable. Can you (or anyone else who has used it) comment on how easy it is to find the Fright Lane entrances to the haunts? I definitely think it would be worth it because I'd get to do something I've never done before, which is all the haunts in one night. I definitely think it would be worth it because I'd get to do something I've never done before, which is all the haunts in one night. I just know that sometimes things are a little confusing, especially in the first year of implementing something. It was very very easy with the green light spider signs we had no trouble finding the entrances for the Fright Lane. The only one that we had trouble finding was "Cut Throat Cove" the regular entrance is by Viking Fury entrance and the Fright Lane entrance for that one is by Outer Hanks. If you are going to just hang out at the park then you will be OK going through at your own pace but it probably would take two visits to see everything. I suggest the Fright Lane fro two big reason in two situations. first is if you are only making one trip to Halloween Haunt per year then I would not hesitate in recommending the Fright Lane for a more enjoyable experience. Second, by using the Fright Lane pass last night it made me realize we were able to go from house to house in a relatively short amount of time between houses and that kept us in a great mindset versus a long break between houses. We started touring right at 7PM and was able to get everything done using the Fright Lane and we rode 5 rides in that time. Granted we took the time to go up front to see scareactors, look through shops and take pictures along the way. May I suggest one more thing. It seems some get over critical on specifics of the event (which is OK) but I suggest that everyone should go in approaching the experience as a evening of entertainment, there is so much to experience and explore and honestly I feel we will have a much better time if we leave most of our critic side in the car. If we can do this I believe most everyone of us will have a great evening. Now when we get back into our cars well that is the time to let the critic side creep back in. Have fun!!! I enjoyed the area and the feedback I have gotten so far indicates many others do as well. I predict when Kings Island works out the kinks and makes adjustments to the area that it will be a favorite amongst guests. The International Street was a fun area to go to hang out and watch the scareactors at work. The thing about the fear zones is that you can mill around or just watch the area in action versus walking through a house. Great to see you enjoying yourself. You do succeed in going to these a little less critical than most of us...me included. I am glad you had a good time...and thanks for sharing all of these pictures! Or spending time admiring the spectacular store front displays along International Street. This appears to be pretty much the same display as last year....whicjh means that I can agree with you, it is spectacular! Great to see you enjoying yourself. That was my favorite part of Halloweekends at Cedar Point back when they first started the "Fright Zone" I think they called it. You didn't have to wait in a line and you could just walk around in the fog, get scared and watch others get scared...and no line! I always wondered why Kings Island didn't really do those as there are so many side paths and whatnot around the park that can be used that way.
