Like TG93 said, I never realized that Shake, Rattle and Roll was originally called "Troika," the manufacturer's name. Was it originally called this or was the brochure printed before the ride opened as Shake, Rattle and Roll that season?

Also, anyone know what the "Brass Ring" is now? And was the Zodiac originally known as the "double wheel?"

Brass Ring was/is the current Juke Box Diner location.

That isn't the way it happened. Mr. Lindner got almost if not all of the Taft/KECO real estate. He kept the properties across the road when his Great American Financial sold to Paramount.

Then, Paramount/CBS retained an interest in Great Wolf Lodge Mason. That interest was offered to Cedar Fair. THEY turned it down.

So, when the park changed hands when Paramount took over, it was without the Kings Island Inn?

Correct. And the place is not what it once was. I have often wondered if the rights to use the Kings Island name are time limited. Given how the separation occurred, I doubt it. That name in innkeeping may now be worth more than the actual facility. Note that Cedar Fair owns the inn in KD's parking lot. It, too, is not what it once was.
