Flight of Fear Buliding Damage

Has anyone noticed the damaged bulding on FoF? You can really see it when you are going up the lift on AE, or even if you look to your left when going up The Racer Lift. I'm wondering if that happened during the wind storm a few weeks back? Anyway while you are on the ride you can see visable light coming thru the area of the building that was damaged.

Also, something else striked me.

The ride was never coated in a rust-preventative coating, so if there was sunlight entering the building, it is safe to assume that it is susceptible to water, thus the track, mechanics, lights and more, are left unprotected.

Are you positive this is damage? I rode the Express on Friday and noticed nothing out of the norm.

No rust preventative coating? Really?

On many things, that's considered paint. I've never paid close enough attention to know if the exterior of that building is painted or its just siding; either way if there was nothing on it to prevent it from rusting, the building would be completely brown by now.

Backlot Stunt Coaster has paint.

Maybe I got my facts mixed up, so I apologize. But I do believe now that I reflect upon my post that at least the magnets are not weatherproof, but don't quote me on that (as I read it on this site, and this site has good information and unreliable information).

I'm not sure if this is permenant, but Flight of Fear now glides through the MCBR like the others.

As I understand it from when I read the post, the magnets, if ever contacted by water, would fail (I don't know how). Like I said, this could be credible, or not so much.

This sounds like information provided by someone who hates trim brakes so much, they will make up the most incredible full of crap statement as an attempt to prove their point.

Take a magnet off the fridge, stick it in a glass of water, throw a few paper clips in the glass, see if they are attracted to the magnet.

This post contains inaccurate information. ;)

I have no comment on the other discussion here, but I will confirm this statement. FOF did not come to its usual complete stop at the MCBR when I rode it last Friday.

The buliding it's self is damaged. You can see part of the siding or whatever it is ripped off, you can also see insulation sticking out. While on the ride in that very area that is damaged you can see light coming thru. I'm guess it happened during the wind storm. Its on the back side of the buliding, you can see it from AE lift, and going up Racer Lift and looking.

I can also confirm that it was not stopping complety in the Midcourse yesterday on both of my rides.

Flight of Fear stopped today at the MCBR.

As for the comments above: We all have our moments. Some, more often than others. There's always the blue B & M Giga at Cedar Point, Flight Deck and Adventure Express will be closed for demolition, among others. We are all flawed. I apologize for the disruption I caused.

I can confirm the speculation on three things here. My girlfriend and I both witnessed 1 - the outside building damage (rode Adventure Express to see; it's quite obvious once you see it. Insulation hanging out and all) 2 - There IS sunlight visible from inside the ride (again, you have to look for it, but once you see it you can't unsee it) and 3 - the ride did glide through the MCBR. It was about the 3rd from the last ride of the night tonight (8-13-2012). I'd have pics but I was riding haha
