I have three of them and I decided not to go this year so I'm selling them for what I paid for them. $80 each.

I'll be busy working all summer, so perhaps I'll be able to enjoy the park next summer.

Message me or post a comment.

Update: 5/16/2013

ALL GOLD ADULT 2013 PASSES HAVE NOW BEEN SOLD

THERE ARE NONE LEFT

THANKS TO THOSE THAT BOUGHT THEM FROM ME

Update: 4/23/2013 - 8:30am

I live in the area, and could meet somewhere public like at a restaurant on a Saturday, to show the tickets before being paid for them.

I can't get a refund for these because ticket sales at the park do not allow refunds.

The non-transferable only applies to processed passes (with a photo and information), these are not processed yet!

The passes are "tickets" before being processed.

These are the tickets you hand in upon making your pass with a photo and information for your pass to be made.

For those that know nothing about how season passes are bought and processed, here's how it works.

1. You pay for them, and they hand you tickets for them

2. You go to the season passes processing office and hand them the tickets, then they let you make a pass.

The tickets for the passes can be bought at the gate or online, if online (names can be left blank) which I have done in the past, but these that I'm selling were bought at the gate on September 1st, 2012.

They cost me $80 each, the current price is $105 each, so you save $25 a pass and I get back what I paid for them.

They are gold, which includes free parking, so if you pay for parking to get into the park upon having these processed, save the parking receipt and take it with you and they'll refund your parking cost.

The "no selling tickets in the park" rule is enforced so no one buys a hundred tickets and then stands next to their ticket booth selling them at cheaper prices to make a profit, I respect that rule and I understand why they have it. That's why I mentioned I could meet somewhere like at a restaurant. Plus I don't want to pay for parking when I'm not going to be going into the park.

If you wanted to make sure these were valid, you could show me your money first, then I could escort you to the season pass office to have them made, and once made you could then pay me the money.

There are no names at all attached to these passes. They each have their own bar code to be scanned and that's it!

LAST UPDATE:

YES, one person can buy multiple passes! People do it all the time for their family, friends, and co-workers. AND if the buyer had to have them made for them only, how would kids even be able to get their passes made?

I thought everyone in this forum was a Kings Island fan! Doesn't anyone here know anything at all about Kings Island? I would have figured everyone here to already have hand fulls of season passes, and possibly be interested in my passes for additional friends and family.

Sorry, but the stupid responses are getting old real quick.

If you don't know something, just ask, or if someone told you something that you don't know much about, at least have the common sense to look into it to figure out the bigger picture on your own rather than being a robot and going by vague, unclear, face value information.

All passes are no refunds, all sales final.

The passes are "tickets" before being processed. These have not been processed yet

You would hand these to someone for the forms to fill out the paper work for your season passes to be made.

Kings Island wouldn't even refund a ticket accidentally purchased for a child under 3. There's no way there will be a refund from the park.

If the passes were purchased online, they would already have names associated with them. In that case, transferring might not be possible.

Unused tickets should generally be resellable, though all parks advise strongly against buying from unofficial channels. If the ticket has already been used or is otherwise invalid, there's no possible recourse. A park could even take action against a guest who presents a counterfeit ticket. Giving or selling to friends/family should be fine, though.

About posting this type of topic here, I don't think we want this forum to become classified ads for tickets.

I don't think you can sell them to someone else. They take your picture when you pick up the pass at KI's front gates. I'm not sure why. Maybe your picture shows up on the computer screen? I wouldn't think you could sell them and let someone else use them after you have your picture attached to that pass.

Unless it was purchased on line where one would have to go get their pass processed when they first attend the park. If he were to sell, say me, the pass he could just give me the papers, if he had purchased them online, and I could get my picture taken no problem. I assume...

He said. And what if they HAVE?

Or the park claims they have? Or for whatever reason won't honor the paperwork?

Then what?

Your trip to Carowinds leads you to think of things like that, doesn't it. :)

What I'm confused by is this - Why would someone buy passes for the same price the park sells them from someone that they have never met? I can understand it when there's money to be saved, but why set up a meeting place and buy passes with the hope they'll work when you can just buy them from the park?

Not just Carowinds. Kings Dominion, too.

And others have had problems with processed KI Platinum Passes at both KD and Carowinds THIS year.

Why take chances?

Exactly, and I didn't realize you'd had that issue at KD as well.

^ To get the previous price for the passes. They cost more now.

Okay, so you'll save $61.50, or potentially lose $240? No brainer...

Even buying 1...save $20.50 or potentially lose $80.00. Still a no brainer...

Some who like to gamble with fate would probably try it. I would not. Just saying, and with no disrespect intended.

When you purchase season passes online the names that are associated with the passes are printed onto the ticket. That's how you can tell if there would be a potential problem. If there are no names on the tickets, then there are probably no names associated with them. I used to buy my season passes at Meijer. They'd give me a paper with all the info and a bunch of blank fields. I would just fill it out and take it to the park. I could see where this could be legit. I could also see where this could cause some problems. However, he did offer to meet whoever might be interested so that they could inspect the tickets. Might be worth checking into if someone were interested. I, on the other hand, always renew my pass at the end of the season so I haven't bought a new pass in quite sometime.

Season passes are sold a Meijer and Kroger. IIRC, they look kind of like gift cards, and are purchased in the same way as a ticket would be at the register. When I bought my one and only gold pass in 2001 (I either had no pass, or a platinum, since then) at Meijer, they gave me a form that was completely blank and just needed to be filled out before I could process it at the gate. No clue if that's how they still handle it, but it sounds like that's similar to selective's situation.

I'll buy one for $40(I may buy 2 for $80)

I'll need

Picture of the PRE-season pass form, proving no name is attached to it.

Picture of the receipt

You can either show me on Skype or Post picture in a private message.

Only reason I'm offering 40 is because it is a tad bit sketchy, once you provide that information I can call KI and have them check if the form bar code have been used.

Also I live in Indiana, you would have to mail me the forms, and I would have to wire you the $40.

Edit: Just got off the phone with a dear friend of mine. She said for you to even purchase the season passes, you would of needed to give your name & phone number & current address to even PAY for them @ the park(maybe its something they're doing in 2013?), Did you do that? What exactly did you do on September 01, 2012.

@Rumor Smasher

Sorry you live so far away. I'm not doing this long distance. There are thousands of people down the street from Kings Island, and I posted on other sites also, if I don't find anyone on here, I'll find someone from another site or some place else.

@Browntggrr

I don't think they'll let me do that. I will check on it though and if I can do that, then I will. I'll find out and let everyone know what they say. Thanks.

Nothing against selective, I have no idea who he is and if his offer is legit, but a gold pass can be purchased on line for $100.50 right now (including tax, i don't know?) that's a $20 savings. While that may be a significant price to some, its most definently not worth buying a pass for $80 from someone you don't know unless there is a way to absolutely verify and confirm that it will work for you. Its what some people like to call, penny wise, pound foolish. One should never assume all the risk on an $80 investment for a $20 savings.

Long distance? what? its 2013, distance shouldn't be an issue, also you failed to answer my question how you were able to purchase the season passes without providing any contact details.

I mean if you wanna do this in person, it kind of makes it even more suspicious since there is no exchange of personal info, unlike the method I suggested (where you would have to mail me the forms and I would have to wire you the money)
